I don't think I have the mods that were requested here. I do have Dragon Age Redesigned, the recommended balance between lore and beauty. I also have morphs for Morrigan and Leliana. I don't know why only the ladies get modded in my game. I guess I really like the default Alistair and Zevran better. Tried a Zev morph once, did not like it at all and it refused to go away. xD It was a lot of work to get Zev's old, familiar face back. The default Morrigan and Leliana looked a bit odd though, especially the lips.

@ Staarbux: boyfriends! They will never understand, haha. xD Is he not wondering if he should dye his hair white now that it turns out you like Fenris?

@ aldy: what's up with the new avatar? Now I have to get used to a new one again. That's confusing! I still miss your dragon.
Monty Python is great. I would like a character voiced by John Cleese in the next game. That would be awesome. xD Not as great as mr Emery, but still... LOL, Zevran angry because he is short. I have never paid much attention to the fact that Zev is a bit short. He is still taller than Oghren. xD

Some info... I have been playing the Ser Gilmore mod. Yes it is worth playing. You have to ignore the fact the voice isn't equalized but you get used to it. I understand why they would have difficulties with that. For a homemade mod they did an excellent job. I came across a bug in the Fade but I have skip the Fade mod so that is probably why. Apprantly he has a nightmare. I'll have to go back and see that.

Secondly, go download a new face morph because Maker if you are going to have to stare at an companion for 40+ hours he better be easy on the eyes. The vanilla Gilmore makes me cringe.

And it reminds me of a mix between Cullen and Alistair. He's quite attractive in game.

If you play Cousland they know each other... obviously... and can be childhood sweethearts. Some of the dialogue is corny, some is good but overall it's fun. Some of the dialogue is very funny between companions.The single kiss scene is bugged. It doesn't reflect the correct background always. Skybox problem? But it's not awful

Don't cheat on him. His anger is scary o_O It's not my fault. Alistair was pouting. He was lonely and needed a hug and then one thing led to another and there were blankets and noises and it was all very unnatural.

Anyway, I thought I'd pass that along. I will go make a list of the DA2 mods I use, which aren't many, and pass that list along.

Thank you for the link! I'll try the improved atmosphere and deffinetly the Auto Loot (awesome!). Divine school might be fun and some of those custom made side adventures too.

Skip the fade? what? never! That's one of my favorite parts along with the deep roads. (about to hit the fade in current PT, taking dog this time, I wonder what the mabari nightmare will be?)

I had this link for DA2 mods (http://www.gametouri...st-have-if.html) and the 'armor at home' one sounds good, I'm not a fan of Hawke's PJ smoking robe outfit.

Well, chums, time for some serious moddage!
April, first of all, sorry, I don't know of any such mod, but I never really looked too. I browsed the entirety of danexus and the projects on here, but nothing like that caught my eye. They may still exist though.

aldien, ah, Ser Gilmore. I could never get over the voice. Petty, I know, but I just couldn't. Maybe I'll install him again on an HN run, since I totally rewrote that character, but... Eh.

Now time for them recommendations. First, that list Amirit provided has some really great ones; I have almost all of those. Though, a word of advice, Combat Tweaks is awesome in some respects, but in others... Let's say I'm not too fond of certain changes, but that depends on a character’s spec. I'd recommend the Rules Fixpack instead, but you can install both at the same time. Oh, man, I can talk DAO mods for hours, so to save people time, I won't go off about any other ones until someone actually asks for me to voive an opinion XDD
As for DA2 mods... There are less of them altogether and I have installed only a scant few, since I didn't need most of them.
First, item mods. Some neat armours include: Amell Ancestral Arms, LapisLazzuli has many great armours, casual clothes and some CC mods, Proper Regalia of Weisshaupt gives mageHawke the proper mage warden robes in Legacy, instead of the rogue ones, and lastly FokSiGen has some pretty rad stuff too. Also, something that personally bugged me, this retex of the Stonehammer Armour set is nice.

Now, onto CC mods: Natural Hair was already mentioned, the various LOTC additions are great, NPC Hands fixes the horrid old-lady claws of the female NPCs and removes the liver spots from male ones.

Third on the list is gameplay tweaks and I have only one - the Healing Aura Range Fix.

And last but not least, mods that mess with NPCs: the various ivey morphs, NPCs Change Clothes Between Acts is pretty self-explanatory, NPC Overhaul is pretty polarizing with me, since I hate some of the morphs, but there are some genuinely interesting changes (Ginnis, Decimus), and I assume everyone here knows of Improved Fenris Glow.
That’s pretty much it, I think. I hope some of this stuff proves useful to someone.

April, the Gilmore mod is jarring at first. I just don't understand it. They put so much effort into this mod and did not fix the volume on the sound o_O It's one of the easiest things to get right. Well... when I was doing Half-Life machinima sound was never an issue. But if you can try and overlook it, the mod does have its moments. I'm desperate for new content.

I'm thinking of sorting the sound files out myself. I have absolutely no idea what the file format is for DAO but if I can rig Fenris and do his shape keys for the Half-Life 2 engine I can do sound files damn it!

If I may ask, what would be your top ten mods for DAO Mr.FlipFlops? Yes... you must choose only ten! Muwahahaha

I'm still here. Just... too lazy to look up all my mods, and most mods I use have been mentioned here. I haven't downloaded any custom characters or quests. I did download an extra class (warlock), but that messed up my Awakening character creation. Instead of the Orlesian warden origin the six origins of DAO are available. :|

Can you guys please help me? I've started a new Dragon Age 2 playthrough, but haven't played it in a long time. I want to romance Fenris again and I seem to remember him saying he'll leave his hatred for mages behind, is this in the friendship romance or rivalry romance? Or is it in both?

I believe that he sees his hatred in both situations as a poison, but I'm not entirely sure when he actually says he will leave it behind. I think he wants to overcome his hatred in both situations.

LOL! Mr.FlipFlops I agree with you about Gilmore. I haven't finished his romance yet but ignore what I said earlier. This is the type of romance I think most people would only ever do once. Sound aside, the actual dialogue choices for the warden insult the brain cells. For me they do, but I've never been particularly girly She was coming across as a stereotype, a young one at that. There have been other choices that have made me give it the Fenris eyebrow.  I'll hold off my final opinion and decision about the sound files once the romance is complete.

ROFL! Ren you are a horribly naughty woman! Poor Fen. I can so see Hawke saying something like that to him. Fenris is really quite naive for someone who has been exposed to so much. Well he comes across that way in the romance department.

I think Fenris says something along the lines of : this hate they planted inside of me. I don't recall on a friendmance him ever speaking of poison in that regard or that he will leave it behind. I've only rivalmanced him once and I think that is one of the comments that varies between the two. But like Ren said, he's really saying the same thing about his hatred; he needs to leave it behind.

My husband asked me today why I still play DA2 if I think DAO is better. I said Fenris and Varric. Those two characters make DA2 replayable for me. I like snarky Hawke too, she's funny, but I guess my 15+ playthroughs are due mostly to Fenris. I thought I'd just throw that out there.

I agree. I didn't need another swordsman! Give me a sexy rogue any day especially if it is an elf that can give Zev a run for his money. However, I've always liked the idea of a bumbling mage. A really cute one that freezes his hand often or accidently burns his robes. Awwww.

Uggggggg I gave up and it wasn't because of Alistair or Zev. The Gilmore mod is... well it isn't for me. Part of roleplaying is immersion and if the only options you get to choose all make you cringe or want to burn Barbies then.... no. I struggled through it until Landsmeet and then I couldn't stand it any longer. Apparantly, Ha! It has a happy ending in that he proposes marriage. I'm so sick of that!!!!!  I prefer death and dismemberment, hence Fenris.

Fenris: Do you ever think about... marriage.
*awkward silence*

I'd give my kingdom for more funny mage characters. I was very fond of Finn from Wutch Hunt, but a clumsy, bumbling little apprentice would also be rad. Ah, maybe in DA3 fat chance.

Marriage? Ooh boy, now I'm almost glad that I couldn't stick with him for long. I'm not as anti-cheesy as you are, Aldy, but that just sounds like an overdose.

Hmm, it's been a while since I installed them, but if I remeber correctly, all the dialogue fixes conflict with each other, but the authours are aware of that and have written extensive ReadMes, explaining what files to delete from which mod so it all can work together. Just pay attention to the descriptions and instructions; Alll should be dandy.
The GWoF has an Imroved Atmosphere compatable file, so make sure you download that one.
Also, I think the qunari mod messe up one eye-mesh. The red, tired/recently been crying eye model now looks black, where white should be. I don't think there is a solution, but that particular model shows up like five times through the entire game, so I never lost any sleep over it.
Also, the human proportions fix changes the female mage robes to the elven model on purpose. You can get back the human ones by deleting certain files (the fixed body proportions should stay intact) You can find their names in the comments section of the project. Or you can wait again 'till I get home and do it myself. Man, it seems the only time I can get on here is early morning and lunch breaks...

And no, I refuse to pick one. I'll just cheat once again and say that the Fenris eye-roll is also cool.

That way you'll get your answer and everyone in the thread will get to read my inane babbling twice as often as usul. Win-win!

Now, at least it looks like those who wanted a clone of DAO will have to accept that isn't going to happen. There's so many things I'd like to pull from both DAO and DA2 as well as take things from other games. Wait... that's stealing isn't it?
