What bugged me is that Zev has that Fenris thing going on. In certain light his skin looks rumpled? It's imperfection in the rendering I belive. almost like he is mucky? I don't know how else to explain it. One thing I have noticed about BW models is that their skin tone sometimes looks like a fake tan. It is uneven and blotchy.
I know exactly what you mean. >_>;
Have you seen aimo's fanart involving Varric? Especially the fanon comics staring Varric and Marian Hawke? They're very sweet! ^^ (And some are a little saucy...Of all the character in DA, the one I think I would love the most is Varric. He isn't exactly beautiful. But Maker that dwarf does things to me because of his personality and.... LOL! chest hair
I agree, but to be honest, that's kind of my feelings for Zevran too. I fell for Alistair and Fenris fast and hard, but it took longer to warm up to Zevran. I first saw Zev as being too flat and easy, but I slowly started to like him more and more after listening to other players' advice to talk to him and take him places. After a long and steady ascent into friendship, he kind of became my "canon" Warden's platonic life partner. The first attempt at romance was lacklustre though, since I used a very poorly defined character. :/ (Should have let her write herself like the others.) With he right character taking their time building up emotional intimacy long before physical, I imagine it would be a very sweet and genuine. (I know the writers had the whole "fall into sex, then fall into love" thing in mind for Zevran, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. I like the idea of them falling slowly into love and then sex, but Zev being the last one to realize it.)Agreed so far. Ali and Fenris really command deep feelings. However, Zev's friendship is gnawing at me and I have to go see how deep that leads. I don't know about you, but Fenris grew on me slowly. It wasn't immediate love. But, Maker when it hit... well...nothing compares really. He is a genius character, but one that demands time to understand. There isn't instant gratification when it comes to Fenris. I would also argue that there isn't instant gratification with Alistair either. If you rush it there is that feeling of cheapness :/ But if you take it slowly, though you have the ability for instant sex, it's really rewarding. That's just my opinion.
Long story short, I agree with the "take your time" thing, I just have a more difficult time applying it to different characters. Alistair is a sweetheart but I'm WAY too good at building up approval, so he always end up hitting "love" by the end of the second treaty, which is way too soon to build a solid emotional foundation. (In some play-throughs, he flat out skips the romantic kiss scene after giving the rose and the game jumps straight to "I want to have sex." Arg!)
Fenris is equally amazing, but to be honest I'm a little burned out because I've adored him so intensely for so long that the "honeymoon" effect is wearing off. A lot of his character faults that I thought were cute or excuseable are actually becoming much more irritating now. "The candle that burns the brightest also burns the shortest." *sigh*
EDIT: I hate starting a new page! Why is this always happening to me?!
