Ren, the only way I would ever feel anything for Danarius is if it was a story about his childhood and how his parents made him into the monster that he is, otherwise I blame him for all malware, spyware, viruses and STD's the world over.

I have to say though, I like your idea of writing Danarius's POV. That's a fascinating concept. But still... what's wrong with you?

Sure, feel free, lol.

That's Diversified Follower Armours. It replaces all the companion armour upgrades with recolours of their default outfits (with upgraded stats). That's Fenris' Act 3 one (his best one too).

April, he saw Cole right from the start and even remembers him as the person he outed earlier, calling him Demon. Cole then proceeded to explain to him how it all went down before he became Cole the forgotten. Also, the reason no one remembered him is because he was making them forget with bloodmagic, unconsciously. So I imagine now that he knows he is making them forget he can stop it. Meh, my interpretation is a bit different, and almost always wrong.

I hope Fens hair is an option for our protags in DA3.

Uhg, I really need to stay away from that part of youtube, nothing good is there. *cuddle Fen* I am so sorry you have to endure play throughs with people who give you back to Danarius.

Aldy, ah, I know! I wasn't referring to anyone here, just relaying my experiences to the public and... well, whining XDD I just reached a bit of a boiling point on the issue due to outside factors. The "ME and DA2 are just interactive movies" argument is like "Kaidan is boring" and "Ashley is racist". Something you hear so often is a very unpleasant context that any mention of the phrase shuts off normal brain processing. It's like mentioning mages to Fenris!

Eh... I think I know the people you're talking about. The "brain twin" people. Oh, Maker, those... D:

I had trouble with lip synching at first too! XDD I just got used to it and don't notice it anymore. The thing that still does grab my attention no matter what, is when in ME1 a character is done talking... They just stare at you for a second, dramatically turn their head to the right, then their whole body and walk away in that direction. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I can't not see it! It freaks me out! Though I did read a funny theory for why that is. ME is a space opera, so the characters are dramatically exiting the stage! Thinking about that has made these moments more enjoyable.

Coldy, ah, you said what I was too chicken to say. It's much better when we focus on nice things! They actually make people happy and stuff.
And for what it's worth, I like Thane. And that's why I can't bring my thanemancing Shep into ME3. I liked both DAO and DA2. I love ME. I like every companion character in all these games. I liked Kaidan since ME1 and I never had anything against Leliana, for the Maker's sake! But some things are just too much. What was done to Thane in ME3... I don't like it.
Ah look, I'm discussing something negative. Bah, that habit is hard to break away from.

@Everyone - I am as guilty as anyone getting negative. I spend a certain amount of time in other threads that are.....hmmm....on the "edge". Most of the time I just want to giggle and squee like an insane fan-woman (is that even a term....I just don't feel particularly girly anymore...heh!). I totally admit I tend to think of the Fenris thread as a little Haven of fun (and flying Fenris'), but there is no reason people here shouldn't debate things, discuss more delicate topics. I am responsible for involving myself in less than happy threads, but I choose those threads much like anyone, to voice an opinion and for catharsis. I just try (though not hard enough, at times) to keep those rants, rabbles and defensive posturing in those said threads. Unfortunately, they do bleed outside of their normal confines.

@Flippy - You have a "nose" thing too??? I swear, I think I spent more time on Castor's nose than just about any other feature! I think Fen was taken in by the nose too. I think nose nuzzling is high on Fenris' list, of things to "do" with Castor......Okay, I have a whole steamy thing going on in my head right now...'scuze me!

Coldy, yessssss! Noses! I do most certainly have a thing for them.
And while we haven’t strayed far from the CC discussion... I'm almost done with a DAO import that I would like to bring into DA2 for the Kas playthrough, but I wanted to experiment with something. I just recently redid some Warden designs, to the point that I finally like all of them. And I noticed that every one of those is a modified preset made by modders who can actually do decent things with the CC. Even in ME all but one of my Sheps are either the default preset or a modified mug offa masseffectfaces. With DA2 I use the default preset or the barely modified first face after it. With that in mind I decided to try make a Hawke all by myself if only to prove once again that the art of CC is forever beyond my reach. I decided to take the easier path and create a dame, since dude-design has always been harder for me.

Came up with a Hawke who looks like she isn't even out of high school yet, I can't force that girl into the world of DA. Behold my mad absence of skillz!


And that's truly the limit of my abilities. It shall always be presets galore for me XDD

I think you should give yourself some credit, and now I DEMAND that you make a male Hawke from scratch! I have complete faith in you. (wow....apparently I get 'bossy' when I'm tired. *smirk*)

Not terribly original, he still looks like the preset, but... Hey, at least he doesn't look like a recently escaped convict, which is the usual result of me making males in a CC!

Nice nose your Shepard got, MrFlipFlop! Like the face. I found 2 in the library I can tolerate and now can not choose which one to use. (and you M!Hawke is perfect - what are you talking about saying you can not cc males?)

Btw, have any of you ever had a bug in ME2 when enemies (any NPC) do not attack? At all? I doubt additional textures could course that.

I hope we get some great new hairstyles for DA3, Fenris's included. I noticed after I played DA:O that many of those hairstyles carried over to DA2. No wonder I ended up with my rogue librarian look o_O Hair choices make all the difference. We can't have our hero going out to save the world with some reject hairdo. Fleshdress have you ever posted any pictures of your characters?

It wasn't always that way. I'm nostalgic. There was a time when you couldn't say anything on this thread if it went against the general consensus. Then there was the time no one could ask questions any longer because it had apparently all been discussed. *rolls eyes* And Maker forbid if you went off topic just a little bit. I think that's why Ren is still so cautious because it was drummed into us that we'd be shoved up the back end of the Void if we did, which was another way of saying: discuss what we want or else. But, yes I think of it as a fun little place these days I hope it stays that way until it is no longer active.

The only exception to the Fenris thread peace is Harle and the brain twins. If Harle comes back a tiff is mandatory between us because it's tradition. That's just thread etiquette The brain twins... well that's not going to happen.... ever! Well it might, but I'd give them hell *shivers* Think nice thoughts, Aldy, warm fuzzy Fenris under the blanket thoughts.

You two make such hot characters. My Hawke always ends up looking like a bad ass librarian. Woe to the person who has a late fee. I wish there had been more facial tweak options in DA2. I have this hang up when it comes to chins and eyes. They bother me if they aren't just right. o_O

His part in the story was just to illustrate the trap he had planned for Fenris. Not to sway the audience into believing he was actually a poor, misunderstood person.:innocent:

Yeah, I think I mentioned a while ago that making passable males in DA2 is easy, but making them different from each other... Not so much. That hunk over there is basically Kas but more chiseled and grouchier, while Kas himself is basically Kromis-lite in that he's slightly slimmer. You should see some of the dudes I've made from scratch in DAO, before giving up. My first elven mage looked like he was two days away from dying of the taint even before undergoing the joining! Even my ladies were kinda bad. And ME is... Yeah, making guys in ME is something I can't do, period.

No, can't say I have, I also play with texmod... They appear a then just stand around? You can't target them as hostiles?

Aldien, that's what mods are for, dear XDD I think I have close to a dozen hair mods for DAO.

Naw, I just sorta... Read about 3/4 of the thread when I first got here. I do that often. To read some interesting dicussion, get fanart and all that stuff. I've also read the whole Zev thread on the DAO forums.

I have a thing with cheekbones. And cheeks in general. These are the parts I spend the most time on. Ha, I remember when you had one such librarian on your avatar XDD She had one of my favourite hairstyles and did indeed look like someone who gets very serious about books.

Oh, MrFlipFlop - it's always a pleasure to show your hero. Even though in most of the cases at the end of the game I do not understand how could I create and tolerate such a monster. But that's just me.

I know!!! Black Emporium in DA2 is my most visited location With other games it's more complicated but I still manage to replace the look a couple of times during the run.

Gahh, don't get me started on cheekbones! In ME1 Jason looked good, but in ME2 his cheekbones were so weird. They were too low and pointy and stuck out.... And you can't modify your imported face in ME2 character creation. By the time I looked up how to get a face code from a ME1 character I had already done the Omega missions and didn't feel like starting over. So I continued playing. And gritted my teeth every time Jason Shepard's face appeared on screen.

You know, it was surprisingly amusing to write from his twisted, calculated perspective. Thinking about how he would manipulate Varania into helping him, and what goes through him when he has finally lured Fenris into his trap proved a new kind of challenge. Although I much prefer spending time in Fenris' head.
"Nothing can be worse than the thought of living without you." I've lost count of how many times I have repeated that sentence in my head to trigger Fenris inspiration.

I know exactly who aldy, flippy and Ren were talking about...I was a lurker back then, and your right @aldien; it wasn't exactly a happy lil' haven. When I finally did venture to post, I felt like a giant intrusion, or an unsightly bruise on the thread. hehehe...ok, a bit overly dramatic there. But there was that feeling.

As for going off topic, it is literally bound to happen. Not because we can't talk about things already discussed, just that after the game has been out for so long, a break in the same topics isn't such a bad thing. I have thought about some of the things that have been rehashed, and since new posters do still show up, we eventually have new voices to add to the discussions. I have even found myself changing my mind on a few things, because our talks have caused me to reexamine. Or I try a new play style based on things I've read on here. Oh, and I would so love to see more peoples "hero's", as @Amirit says. Love Ren's sheps, flippy's new Hawkes, Amirits new Fem!Shepards, and I have an affinity towards aldy's Librarian's. And I would personally love seeing more shots of peoples Hawkes+Fenris'. If anyone would do the honors.

First of all, my formal apology to ME lovers Ok, I do like the game. Despite that bug (I think I know where it came from just did not fugued out how to fix). ME2 is a great game!

That Archangel mission... Well, I think I've never been happier to see a companion. It was very clear who Archangel is, still, when helmet was off,  my smile was bigger then Shepard's (and she has a pretty big mouth, mind you). The whole Omega system is done great, contrasts in companions and surroundings perfect and listening Gideon's voice was a blast. But Garrus... I think I am sold completely now
