Amirit, ahh, you meant my stuff! I got mixed up)) I really wish I had taken more scenery shots and less character shots there. Well, there's always next time. At least I finally got around to updating the ME3 folder...
I think that can be said of many hated characters. Not all of them, there are many people who have real reasons for disliking this or that companion, but simple inattention is still a very common offender. This is the most frequent cause of the "Fenris is just a whiny emo" syndrome.

Edit: Gah, top! How 'bout some Danarius? He seems pretty popular lately.

Oh wow, Im popular apparently. tell you what, its a month late but here you go, *BROFIST*

and yes im legal...ive been legal for almost a decade now.LOL

We're not picky about how long it takes someone to get back to us :) Ghost will be thrilled that you have come by. :D I e-mailed her to let her know. As for myself, I think you make a wonderful Fenris. The best I have seen to date. Your costume and the markings were amazing! Did you make it?

April, I love your CE's hair! What hair mod is that?

Flippy said: CALADRIUS. The bestest magister in the world! I love that guy. He's such a great villain! Negotiating with him is buckets of cathartic fun.. And dat librarian. I can never make myself dress characters in armours that impossible, but looking at them on others is certainly great XDD More librarians!

It would be awesome to have someone like him as a companion out of necessity and to see his views on life. He's just a great character.

I put my Hawke in that scant armour so she'd look like less of a librarian ;) I think Flippy, that you and the rest of the people with great Hawke's should give me some pointers on how to make my characters less boring. :)

Kass is gorgeous! I loved the markings on Alim's eyes. They brought out the color. So dramatic and the GW armor suits him really well. I think that armor looks best on elves. I know it doesn't suit Alistair.

Aetheon's is excellent and his look at the bottom made me giggle. Is he mad at someone?

Is that a bandage on your CE's nose? One thing I love about all of your characters is how you make them look like individuals. I think I actually have that hair your elf is sporting. I'll have to look because it's lovely.

Oh Coldy, I think Daylen may be giving Castor a run for his money. Wait... should I not compare characters in different games?

I really like Aedan's dress. She's rather well endowed ;)The picture of her that is really eye catching is middle bottom. Was that in game? It reminds me of an antigue portrait, especially her eyes.

Why can I see Aetta with Varric? I love her hair! Yet another style I do not have.

Aellada, I was very impressed with her face because it looked devoid of the usual dwarven shape, if you get what I mean. Her hair color was stunning. Honestly, I find it hard getting the tints just right.

You and Coldy need to have a competition for the best Hawke ever. ;) Not that I'd have anything to gain by watching or looking or... drooling ;)

Ren said: Now, can you imagine her scolding you for being late with returning your
books? I wouldn't have thought you let your Hawke go outside dressed
like that.

I think there would be a few people who would deliberately be late returning their books so they could be scolded! ;) Why do you think Fenris was so eager to learn to read? I thought the same thing when I found that armor (if it can be called such) but it is sooooo damn funny watching her run around in it especially in front of important people. I guess I was bored.

Amirit, my reasoning for not playing ME is a technical one. It has nothing to do with the characters, plot anything like that. I simply can't see past the lip synching. It may seem petty but it's a big deal for me. I wish I could because I'd love to be able to join into the discussions. I have honestly tried several times but it breaks immersion and then I can't enjoy it :/

Look there, Ren. Flippy just posted a picture that made fun of your man

April, I'm seconding Aldy on that hair mod demnd! It's great! And I thought I had all the mods...

Aldy, yes, please! The more perspectives - the better. That's one of the greatest things about different origins, but if we can't have those, we should at least get them from the companions. A magister companion would be fascinating.

Haha, that does sound like fun XDD I just undress the characters for that effect. Hawke negotiating Isabela's freedom while in his sweatpants is priceless.
And what are you talking about?! She isn't boring! I'd notice that lady anywhere on the street. I think I need more evidence of your apparently all-librarian character cast *nudge-nudge* Seriously, people, I demand more Hawkes and Wardens!

Aw, thank you. Kas would smile at that compliment; he isn't the kind of person to elicit them very often.
Alim was specifically designed with that tattoo in mind, actually. I wanted an elven mage with it and built from there. And that armour was a gift from the good Fade spirits, it suits him better than anything else. I can't stand to look at him in normal mage robes anymore.
Why do you think they don't suit Alistair? I like how he looks in the Warden armours. Though I think he looks best in the game's default Heavy Armour types. The ones with the weird left shoulder guard.

Yeah, Theo's a bit temperamental. Maximalistic rage is a common emotion with him XDD I included that pic for laughs. It's almost as silly as he is.

It is, indeed, a bandage. I wanted to make Kaia look punkish, hardy. A lively girl who gets into scruffs and falls off walls she tried to climb. I want revise her design to reflect that better. She still looks a bit too calm and sweet. The hair should be even more tomboyish, I think.
Ah, thank you. That really means a lot. Even it they're not fully my work, I try really hard to make all these characters look like different unique people. Seems like I'm succeeding!

Well, technically, Daylen is an Amell, so him and Castor are related! XDD But Day is the character I can take the least credit for. I literally only changed the complexion, hair and eye colour from the preset. I still love him, though. He's the sweetest blood mage ever! When he isn't being a dick, that is.

Ha, the dress is from Improved Atmosphere. Or it may also have something to do with that Female Proportions mod... Anyhow, I'm not responsible for it. But she is written as a curvaceous woman, so it fits XDD Oooh, that shot was really lucky! It's at the end of the Origin, when the HN and their mother find dad Cousland wounded in the cellar. There's like a two second frame of the PCs face with that expression. I like it a lot too.

Varric and Aetta?.. That's, like... Perfect! You're psychic! Gotta be! And her hair and the CE's hair are both from the same mod, I think. Can't remember which one though. I have so many, I've lost count.

Funny you say that, since Aellada uses the vanilla dwarf preset, the first one at that. I didn't change it, except for some light nose tweaking. It's all in the hairstyle, it can radically change a face's form. And the hair colour is also from the vanilla game, just the hair model makes it look different than usual.

And I resent that accusation! I mentioned before that I hold a great admiration of the magister's hips! The picture celebrates that feature! I mean, come on! Make fun of Danarius? Who would do such a thing?

To conclude…Guys! Post those Hawkes. Post those Wardens. I want to witness all of them! I demand to witness them all!

The Lass in my Avatar is Neria, she and Kallian are Zevrans only hope to reproduce cause they are the only two females I'll play... and they have yet to make it out of Ostagar. :P (Other then My F-HN, she suffered through an Alistair romance just to be queen... I really dislike Alistairs romance, great character but too weak for me!.)

Finally have a moment to sit down and get caught up - I am really really enjoying seeing all the Hawke, Warden and Shepard pics! keep it up people!

Amirit - I love your Shepard ladies, they are beautiful! The first with pink hair, she looks like someone who was very sweet but has learned some tough life lessons.

Moto - *Love* that armor Fenris is in, is looks so dashing on him! The color and style, very nice! It's so difficult to get good shots using camera + tv, I feel your pain!

Nilfalasiel - That first screenie of Diane is so pretty, the way Fenris is imploring her and she looks distant and sad. lovely.

Ahh the torture! just kiss already!

Aldien - holy heck, what a sexy Hawke! She has a smoldering look, like 'come, just try it'. I bet fighting the Arishock like that makes for some... interesting RP. haha! I am going to have to try out a sexy armor mod!

Flesh - OO pretty Shep! Is she a modified default? Freckles!!  I also love Arquen's screenshots, have a few I saved from back in the day. (I was on here back then and then took a few months off, when I returned, they were no longer posting, I must have missing a blow up or something?) : (

MrFlipFlops - So many fantastic characters!! I think my favs are Alim (he looks so dangerous!) and Netta who is adorable!  Very nice work, I tip my hat!
And can I just say...
Zander + Kassander  Posted Image
lordy! what a pair those two would make! *fans self* someone get me a mop!

By popular demand - here is the hair mod I used: Hairstyle Day mod by ShepShy
http://dragonage.nex...s.com/mods/3552

Some of them are just gorgeous, but of course, keep in mind, there are lots of clipping issues esp. with the long styles. And the long hairs that hang in front of the armor tend to 'bow out' to make them work with heavy plate, which tends to look a tad odd on mages in robes. Suspend that disbelief!

Amirit - if you are at all interested, I did take screenshots of the vanilla CC preset I used and all the sliders for that CE I posted earlier, and the mods of course. (only a few)

I thought you said you tried ME3 only. So, may be ME1 does not have that issue? (I never saw it, but never paid any attention either). The only reason I still mentioned that to you.

You mean "Alistair's chance for reproduction"? :) Poor Alistair! But he get enough of faithful fangirls to not be too upset about one preferring Zev :)

Nice Shep. Especially if it's done without template just in native CC!

April - Do you even have to ask?! :) As I said - I wish I have your talant. I would not mind a saved game file but sliders is good too!

Fleshdress, gorgeous Shep! I am a sucker for raven hair.
Hey, how did you get that hair on her not to clip at all? I read several tutorials on here that helped fix most of the clipping issues, but some of the front strands still receded into my Shep's forehead. Does it have something to do with brow depth?

Neria looks very mature, at least on that avatar. Care to post Kallian? Or all those male Wardens?
Hehe, at least your Zev has a chance. I have two Wardens with him and both are male XDD "The act of creation of great fun". Yeah, Zev, dream on, baby.

April, Alim? Dangerous? Ha... He's more of a tranquil fury type guy, if you ever manage to rile him up. He's kinda of an ice person. 'Cause he uses ice spells a lot. Lame pun aside, thanks)) And it's not Netta, but Aetta XDD My fault for picking a stylish font, it is kinda difficult to read made up names in it. Nevertheless, thank you again. That girl is the adorablest wanna-be crime lord this side of Orzammar.

Zander and... Kas? That... I... Ooh, mama *wonders off, fanning self*
Considering what a dream boat Zander is, having someone wanting to pair Kassander with him is the greatest compliment I could hope for on my CC skills XDD

Thank you so much for the mod! How the hell did I miss it? I was so thorough...

@ MrFlipFlops, as a fresh convert I can not hold back emotions. Be merciful and listen, I'll try to stay as laconic as possible :) Garrus is the soul of ME (have not met Thane yet, but come on!). God how much I wanted a "happy scream-and-hug" emotion! I was ready to kiss my screen, so happy I was. Oh, and then I finished that "return to crash site" mission and realized, that I actually do care about "good old days". I was almost crying on cut-scenes about Normandy and her crew! And ME1 was a game I used as a sleeping pill! I think I am totally converted now. At least no more a single negative word towards the series from me.

hee yeah, it was obvious who it was going to be, but I still squeed anyways too! mmm Garrus. Had to wait for my 3rd PT to romance him though as Shep 1 & 2 were very loyal to their ME1 romances.
(dang, there was a very cute art of the fangirl reaction to Archangel being Garrus but I cannot find it. poop)

ME1 is my fav from that series but it can be a bit.. daunting, esp since the PT time is about twice the length of the others. I have a cheat sheet with all the galaxies and which missions so I can ensure a 100% PT each time.

@MrFlipFlops - oops! Sorry I screwed up her name. Just for that I must name one of my wardens Netta now.

@April - SHARE!!! Oh...I mean; could you please share your ME1 cheat sheet with the rest of the class? I would love, love, love that. I adore ME1, but admit, that the completionist in me, feels obligated to go trudging through the galaxy looking for trouble. I enjoy it, but it does start to wear on you after 'x' number of play throughs. Funny thing is, I have learned how to do relatively complete ME2 fast runs (not really speed runs, since that hinders the RP aspect, and then....what's the point. heh.), but ME1 doesn't have quite the hmmmm....clear path, for doing all the side missions. Did that make sense? XD

I will be back in a bit, and I will post a few new Hawke's, Wardens, and Shepards (and of course, I have new shots with Castor and Fenris...it's such an epic romance *theme from Days of Our Lives, strikes up*)

Yah, I actually have her with blue eyes too, just dropped her head morph file into Mass Gibbed Editor, that thing is my life, I wish so hard there was one for DA. Though, DA2 I can mod. Kinda, not like you guuys can.

I was here back then, almost to the same point Arquen last posted, though I was simultanously being pulled into Garrus/Thane land so my attentions were split. I have been going back, looking. But I keep getting distracted by convos and getting nostalgic feelings. Came across the posts where we welcomed Nilf and I stole her welcome cookies. Sill haven't given those back I think.  We were all very silly with our Coffee, Black squeeing, lyrium licking, and I don't think we have matured a whole lot.:P Went back to re-read Coffee, Black too... feels like forever ago.

I actually went all the way back to page one when Fenris was still MEG... Freaking hilarious, seriously I am pleased as punch that for whatever character comes next I'll be around from the beginning, didn't actually join this baby till 1600's I think.

I have no idea about clipping issues, I am tech inept and only just managed figure out hoe to get her head morph file lol, for all I can remember it still does melt into her head and those were just someoen elses lucky screenshots.  And yah, I love my ladies and men brunettes... which makes adoring Fen and Zev strange.

Ahhh why let him recreate anyways... like the wold needs little Zev/Wardens running around. Chaos. When I get DA:O for screenies just try and stop me from posting. :P

OMG IT'S THE TASMANIAN MERRILL!! XD

So much speculation about Fenris going underground or through solid objects. O.o I didn't expect anyone to actually think about it when I threw that food for thought out there. xD

Though I honestly feel like the devs didn't elaborate too well on his design. At first glance, you would think the pointed fingers were so he could more easily thrust his hand through people's chests to stab out their hearts. Then you learn he can ghost through their flesh with ease and he just solidifies his arm once it's already in people's chests (or skulls) to force a hole from the inside, so the pointed fingers don't seem to be as needed. (I'm not complaining; the design is cool, but doesn't seem as practical.)

It's also never really elaborated on how intangible he can get. Most DA pages I read say he turns only "partially intangible," which begs the question of how easily he can move through solid objects. As others here have pointed out: can people feel his hand as he sticks it in? I wonder: can his whole body go intangible enough to walk right through a whole person or solid objects, or does it require more energy than he has? If he can move through solid objects, why doesn't he take advantage of this ability more often? (Though I kind of doubt he can, the more I think about it. If he could move through walls or locked doors, he would have used it times beyond counting to flee the slave hunters.)

Also, how much can he affect objects around him? As others here have pointed out, is it just his flesh that becomes intangible or can he make the objects he touches intangible too? Obviously, his armour can (partially) move through objects too, but is it because it's specially made armour or can this work with anything he wears? Could it work with (smaller) weapons? Can he make the coins intangible as he filches people's purses? These things need to be answered.

I love Fenris, and I love his abilities, but I feel like they aren't well enough explained to give the audience a clear understanding of what he can and cannot do. I kind of feel like they said "Wouldn't it be cool if..." and that's how Fenris was made. Granted, coolness (and sexiness) is awesome, but I like a little practical though put behind it too, as everyone here can probably guess. :/

EDIT: Meh, if I'm going to start off this page, I'm going to start it off right. Don't know if this has been posted recently, but since we're on the subject of ghosting...

See now Castor looks good in the GW armor, but if you put that on Alistair it just looks wrong. It's something to do with the shoulders. Fenris acupuncture is extreme ;)

Amirit, you are right, I haven't played ME1 or 2. I bought 3 because everyone was so excited on here when it first came out. And you are also right that ME3 is nothing like playing DA2, in that you can't just pick it up and understand the plot and characters without having played 1 and 2 first. I was totally lost in ME3. I was getting pieces of story here and there but I felt like I had walked in on someone else's conversation. Also, does it take forever to flirt with someone in ME3? I was trying to get to the point where I could flirt but the option never happened. In DA2 it was pretty much a separate story and there was little reference to events in DA:O, I guess unless you imported the warden's story. I don't know... what is the lip synching like in ME1?

Oh I have to disagree about ME3 being hard to jump in to cold; I took to it like a fish to water :P But it could be because I just love sci-fi. Also that, in preparation for the game, I read and re-readthe ME wiki summary pages >.> But I thought the world was very fleshed out ... but also, again, I love sci-fi, and some story aspects in ME franchise are just recycled sci-fi tropes, like the FTL drives, the talking ship (hello Star Trek!), the mass effect relays (Wing Commander games), etc.

Now the romance bit, oh god, yes. But keep in mind also that I romanced Kaiden... guy who disappears for 90% of teh game  And even when Shepard put it out there that he'd like to make this happen, Kaiden was like, Yeah, sounds good, buddy! Let's be bunkmates <3 and then........... nothing. I thought I had skipped something somehow. Had a conversation with Liara that scared the crap out of me; was so scared I'd get stuck in her romance instead that I chose the mean dialogue options!! Felt like a jerk. Didn't realize the relationship with Kaiden was actually really working until I hit on Cortez and he was all, you're cute but you're taken, player lol Me: *phew!!!*

@Aldien You have to ask someone who can see such things. I tried to catch anything wrong but it all looks fine to me. Looks like MrFliFlops could know better.
As for the game, there is one more good thing about it - you will see where DA2 style came from and where it belongs (in a good way). It really works in ME.

@ Coldy, your Shep is a looker but you scared me a bit. So, smooth transition of character from ME2 to ME3 requires help of an artist? It's a pity...
And what a cruel screen with Fenris! :)

I am a bit dense. There's no denying that, but I do love my share of sci-fi. Have you ever played Dead Space? You did have the wiki to fall back on! I thought I was going to be immersed in the story straight away and I didn't want spoilers so I never checked the wiki out. The world may be fleshed out. I didn't make it past the hospital part. *sighs* I know I sound so petty but when you have done something like this for a living it's hard to ignore the lip synching. Most sci-fi has something in common or borrowed. Oh! You just reminded me of an old game. I can't remember the name of it, but it was the one where you had to get to the computer because it was killing everyone. I loved that ship. It was creepy but you got to go into all the quarters and there were labs etc... It was nicely done. Okay... I'll stop talking now o_O I met Brent Spiner once before the series took off at a convention. He was nice and then he apparantly became an ass. Oh well... that's fame for you.

Did you ever get a sex scene with Kaidan? I was expecting DA2 style of flirting upfront. The guy that got hurt, (was that Kaidan?)I wanted to flirt with him. Unfortunately he's still lying in the medical bed in my saved game. That is the blue woman? Liara? She... annoyed me. No one hit me please. Keep in mind I haven't played 1 and 2 and hardly any of 3.

Aldien, trast me - motomotogirl is a very rare player :) For most of us playing part 1 and 2 first is MUST :) Other case all you remember is "there was a sick guy - what's his name again? - and I did not feel anything for him" :)
