Nilf, I think it depends on character prominence. If the same person voices a dozen unnamed NPCs or ones that have at most two lines of dialogue, then you don't mind, since that voice isn't associated with anything specific or unique. When it's Fenris-is-an-extemplar-junkie and Anders-is-a-darktown-thug it gets really unnerving.

Well, we can bond over lil' bro lovin' at least XDD He's a great character by himself too.

Agh, the cancelled expansion was a serrated blade to the spinal column. So much missed potential... It hurts. It hurts a lot. And it's really sad for the developers too, by the look of things. It was their creation after all. Ah, bollocks, now I bummed myself out...

I can't decide which one's my favourite. I think I'm hesitating between "check me out" M!Hawke and "I'm humping thin air" Fenris.

Although "yo dawg" Varric is pretty good too.

I always noticed that Anders is the only one who bothered to buy some ice cream before breaking into impromptu fanservice XDD Sebastian with his wad of cash suggests that he didn't have enough time to do so before nature called and announced the mating season. See, it's a masterpiece! There's a whole story there!

Although I gotta wonder why Cullen looks like he's making "slit yo' throat" gestures.

But yeah, Seb tries to attract the ladeez with money, Anders with sweets, Varric with his smooth moves. M!Hawke hopes to rely on his natural sexitude ("all man, no cheez"), while Fenris is clearly flaunting the more uh...practical aspects of his anatomy.

Again, no idea what Cullen was thinking. Maybe playing that "bad bad boy" image?

After scrutinising him some more, I think he's supposed to be holding a cigarette and either taking a drag on it or scratching his cheek while holding it. Except the gif makes it look like something completely different.

That's typical Seb for ya. And typical Fenris too: he starts out diffident, then gradually loosens up as he becomes more comfortable.

I am trying to think of new and exciting ways to be somethiing DA related for Halloween and not spend all night explaining my costume. (I can totally still dress up people, just have to get drunk now instead of collect all the glorious candy, and I have two youger family members to do that for me.) Anywho, it's really not coming to me. Suggestions?

And on a Fen related note-type-question thingy, the tried and true convo of: What is the age difference between our lurvely Varania and Fenris? Who do we think is the older/younger sibling? (It's been long enough since this discussion was done that I don't remember the general consensus.)

Personally, I get a huge twang to the heart string imagining a little Leto toddling around after his big sister  her showing him little spells and telling him a couple stories about their late father and him just being in a state of constant wide-eyed wonder following her.

I also get a big kick out of an older Leto, following his baby sister around protecting her from other slave children and being all puffed up and proud cause his sister is a mage, and one day -he was sure- she was gonna be a powerful Magister, just like their master was.

Edit: Questions bolded cause I was woken up by a deranged dog at 3 am and you shouldn't have to wade through my half awake frippery. On a completely unrelated note; Who wants me to mail them a Border Collie? Makes a useful... uh... well I am sure someone can find a use for him!

Fleshdress, well, you can just say "I'm an elf" or "I'm a mage", since that would be true of most characters (I'm a pirate wench), without complicated explanations XDD
Aw, I really wanna dress up as Merrill, since it's one of the few costumes I can pull off (lanky, clumsy, large green eyes), but what with my atrocious commuting each day and looming mid-terms, I don't think I'll have the time to even buy a scarf. Pah.

I have stated so before and I will repeat myself - prompts are a great idea, I'd be all up in it.

Agh, that's a toughie. I have a huge soft spot for the protective elder sibling character (probably due to my own huge big sister complex towards the world), but I always just saw Leto as the youngest. Don't really know why though, it's just so. Probably 'cause I imagine him as kinda immaturely boisterous, not prone to thinking everything through and all around impulsive little elf.

@Flesh I hate to say it but if Fenris is indeed the younger sibling, it almost comes full circle with 'another older red head sister who appears ungrateful and needs to be taught a lesson'. (But it would fit his personality, both pre-lyrium warrior and after, as Mr.flops described)

I noticed it in the last game with Alistair's sister and it sorta rubbed me the wrong way of how everyone gangs up on her without considering she lost a mother, most likely earning a living with several children and jst found out her half brother is alive after being lied to?

Yeah I know the player will have emotional investment, but I always feel sorry for bother Varania and Goldanna. (must be the middle child syndrome I associate with)


@Mr.Flops Also late to the discussion but no one goes the cheap route for cosplay any more?  just wear a whit shirt with red ink coming out the breast pocket, red tie and weild a cricket bat, then boom! Instant shaun of th dead. Also dat gif.....

My assumption is that Fenris is the older one, but like Nilf I don't have any arguments to support that idea. Just that freeing mother and sister without their possible consent sounds more like something an elder child would do. I do think they're very similar in age.

Halloween is so close. I like the idea of you being Merrill MrFlipFlops! If people have no clue who you are, you could just say you're a magical elf. It's hard to think of 'quick' or 'easy' DA related costumes as they are all pretty detailed. There's always carboard armor templar. : ) None of my cosplays are anywhere close to being ready for this year's halloween, so I'm going to be a zombie instead. Picked up some liquid latex yesterday and going to see if I can go all out and make it really gross. It's my favorite holiday of the year.

Lol Flip, it may just be me and you doing Prompts.  We got it covered though.

I have always seen Fenris as younger myself but that is probably because I am an older sister with an older sister, so it's hard for me to imagine older male siblings.

Ren: I do see Fenris as younger for freeing his sister and mother without consulting them first instead of older. To me this seems a kinda naive sheltered gesture of a young man wanting to give his mother and sister a life in his mind he thinks they deserve. I could see Carver doing very much the same thing for his family, a grande sacrifice that should for all intents and purposes make their life better, all because of him. (it also seems very Carver-esque that it backfired horribly, but that doesn't count towards age factor.)

April and Cosmo: Uhg, sorry employee called in sick so I had to cover for him and then thanksgiving dinner occupied the rest of my night so I think I missed you both too. Damn you thanksgiving! *shakes fist*

April, as do I, but that won't happen for a while, sadly. Even if I get out and scrape up enough friends to do something on Halloween, chances are the costume will be assembled last minute from scraps of retired clothes and ancient theater make-up.

About the raptor kitty... Am I not seeing something? What is cat-like about Garrus? I see raptor parts and the bird ones, but cats? I mean, I'm a cat person! I'd love to also see something cat-like in him, but what is it? I keep hearing the comparison and seeing the memes, but it's like one of those magic eye pictures, I just can't unfocus my eyes in the right way or something. And this upsets me greatly, both as an art-aficionado with years of rigorous composition study and an ex-biology major. TELL ME YOUR SECRET OF KITTY GOODNES.
