Did it actually work, can you sing like that in Rock Band? Or did it hear your German Nihilist and reject it?

It worked fine (on Medium, anyhow).

Not that it mattered, since the world is already doomed anyhow.

Brilliant. Du Hast is getting a Minsc make-over. B)

Antivans - Spanish (Team Zevran! :D )

Sooo. Question. Has it actually been confirmed that Antiva = Spain? Because to me, it always seemed that Antiva was a lot closer to Italy. Ignacio mentions Rialto, which is actually in Venice, and Antiva has a doge. To me, everything adds up to Italy. It seems like everyone else equates it with Spain, but I don't think I've ever seen that confirmed.

I would love it if he had an Icelandic accent . . .

However,
I can't think of a single actor or voice actor that's so famous the
s/he can be identified immediately from Iceland.

Well, I also had a thought that Antiva might be a mix of Italy and Spain. Zevran has a Spanish accent, but a name like "Ignacio" sounds pretty Italian to me.

Actually, the Italian spelling would be Ig****o - Ignacio is indeed Spanish, :)

Not sure why is censoring me: the Italian ending is "zio" instead of "cio"

It's also the fact that, I think, David Gaider (?) described Antiva similar to Italy because of the city-states. I could be very wrong though, I'm digging this up from my memory. But yeah, Antiva was always more Italy than Spain in my head.

Wow, Sean Bean for Fenris would be AWESOME. And Sean Bean's accent *is* English, just Northern variety. But if David told us the actor had a Northern English accent, everyone would immediately go 'Sean Bean!' So maybe....

edit: @buggirl - because it contains the name for german socialist party during wwII... I know it's a bit silly they censor it.

Learn something new everyday!

Also, the way Zev describes Antiva sounded more like Italy.

Back on topic, though...

I wonder if Fenris will have the same cookie obsession that Sten did Posted Image

I'm guessing it has a problem with "****" in Ig****o

Incase I get madly censored, four letter word starts with "N", followed Hitler.

Oh, please don't let it be Sean Bean.

It's not that I don't like his voice or anything, but it'd be every time Fenris opens his mouth...

Yeah. I think I'd start feeling really, really, really bad. :?

Yes, I realized that after I posted the second time and broke it down . I am so used to the name (former boyfriend) I never really thought about it.

I'm not sure I get you... But then I never played Oblivion past the very first bit, so I guess you're referring to some annoying AI behaviour of Martin?
Personally I think Fenris will (and should) have a more 'exotic' accent (well from a Western point of view, of course). But I would never say no to Sean Bean :P

Another unrelated thing (i'm on a roll) Sean bean is playing Eddard Stark in HBO's "A Game of Thrones" :D!

One does not simply walk into Ferelden.

No. I was just a mean, foul person back in my (early) Oblivion days. If a NPC was following my character in general, I'd take them over to Dive Rock and somehow make them fall off to their deaths (if you've never seen this, look up "Oblivion Adoring Fan Dive Rock" on YouTube).

Martin usually got the worst of it because of the fact that he was one of the easiest NPCs (in my opinion) to get to follow you. And he didn't die-- just got knocked unconscious, so he'd get up a few seconds later and I'd just repeat the process.

Found quote:

David Gaider wrote...
Yes, Antiva is a fictionalized version of a medieval Italian city-state like Venice. It's not a perfect
comparison by any means, but then none of the Thedas nations are meant
to be. They're inspired by real-world history, but that's where it
remains.

No, we did not use an Italian accent for Antiva.

He also says Ferelden is based off of Scotland though, so I don't think using this to guess Fen's VA will help much :\\ Also there is nothing saying Fen was born and raised in Tevinter. He could have been taken from some funky country and sold.

Another question to Ser Gaider (if you are willing to answer ;) ), is Fenris's accent unique? (Does someone else in the game also have it?) Or is he like Zev, pretty much the only one with his accent?

@Madame Rose - okay, I see, haha, you cruel cruel person!

@SteamPunks - yay, I was right. For once my memory did not fail me. :D And yes, Game of Thrones - Sean Bean as Ned - let April come sooner! Although once DA2 comes out I guess I'll lose sense of time, lol.

Exactly why I'm against it. I can't have this:

Fenris: *Sean Bean is VA* Hawke, I love you.

Hawke: (No response)

Me: (In reality) *Pictures Martin flying off of Dive Rock* :crying:

Hm, Fenris' bday? ...good question

Hey, February 26th is my birthday!  (Except I'm turning 23).  How crazy is that?

Late but I've got a Feb. 27th birthday (turning neither 19 nor 23).

As for Fenris' birthday...I was thinking more of a summer baby for some reason...August 2nd (or the Thedas equivelent). I've no clue why.

In other news the Grand Poobah sings Evanescenece in a strange accent. This pleases and amuses me.

See, as soon as I am offline the thread were off in full steam, as soon as I am back it slow down again.

Off Topic, totally randon:

1. @Ser David, 'Bring me to life' is one of the a few songs I beat my SOH in xBox games 'Lips'. He usually beat me in MC Hammer's 'Can't touch it' (wink).

2. Do you know Jon Curry, Zevran's VA, once wrote on Zevran's FB, saying he missed him?

Posted Image

Now back to Fenris' VA and birthday. Humph, since he had no recollection about his past, how about we guess the date those Tevinter magister tattooed the Lyrium onto his skin?

8.27 is a good number to start.

Alright, so we can cross German off the list. Personally, I'm hoping for an Irish accent.

Go draw instead! :P But yeah like the quote Chagrinned Goat posted says, Ser Gaider initially told us that Fen's markings were painful for him if touched.

@tank: Ha ha no kidding. I hate how that happens :(

Is Fen's memory completley blank? As in "Durp I dunno who I am or what my name is" or is it just fuzzy "I know a magister did this to me but that's all I can recall"?

EDIT: If Fen is Irish I will repetatively initiate dialogue with him just to hear his voice. Even if he just says "What is it?" over and over again. Fingers crossed for Atlas's VA from Bioshock! *melts*
Mr.Gaider... Would You Kindly tell us the va? lol
