Nilf, yeah, when you use (Intimidate) dialogue choices they are different for mages and usually go something like: "You know I'm a mage, right?" "AGGHH NO I DON'T WANNA BE A FROG HERE TAKE ALL MY THINGS". Or threatening to burn their faces off with your mind. Either way, they're great fun XDD But the most triumphant mage-specific dialogue is bullying the Desire Demon in Connor into teaching you blood magic and then leaving the boy alone forever. Badass.

Variety is always better and I do miss my dwarves, since Orzammar/Deep Roads quests have always been my favourite as I proclaimed here previously. And the Dalish elves. Ah, man, now I bummed myself out... My fondest hope now is that we get to visit Tevinter. I want go there so badly!
Algebra totally sucks the big one, especially for the more humanities geared people such as myself. I totally will pull a Dante sometime and write a self-insert novel where I inflict misfortunes upon all those who wronged me. The people who decided to make calculus mandatory for freaking creative writing majors are getting the old rusty shovel up the arse right in the prologue.

“Logic? Pfft, ****, please, I'm a dragon!"
Yeah, screw you buddy. Also, less kiting-centered bossfights *coughArishokcough* would be lovely. This reminds me, how many people here like the sword & shield tree in either game? I was always really bored of it, but that’s since tanking really isn’t my thing.

Edit: well, if it isn't top! Agh, art, where are you?!

moto, the last one? Ehm, which one exactly? The longest thin one? I'd be happy to make Fenris banners as well, I just choose the look of them by the art I have available. If you have suggestions then I'm game.

You mean like, if I find art work, you could make a banner out of it?? :D:D:D

That pic of Fenris is gorgeous.

Just about finished Origins... I wonder if skipping Awakenings will have any effect.

I head that in DA:I they are looking into ways to carry flags even without the import, which may come in handy since all my import flags go pear shaped at one point or another.

I can't wait to climb back into DA2, the mods Moto taught me allow for an extremely dangerous duel-wielding Mage!Hawke that I can't wait to try out. Oh Fen, best rivalmance of your life. I thought Force Mage with my two handed weapon Hawke was pretty cool, it was all

Hawke: *weapon slash*
Enemies: *go flying everywhere*

Umm back to being game illiterate. What does kiting mean?

LOL Yeah two-handed weapon Mage!Hawke is pretty badass. Do you mod Fenris? I can't play the game anymore without making him a duel-wielder. He's all sexy and rogue-ish. Adorbs.

@ Fleshdress: To kite means to run laps while an enemy is chasing you. The typical setup is to make your tank get the enemy's attention, then run around in circles while the rest of the party snipes it. That way you minimise damage to the tank, and the snipers stay safe. A typical case of kiting would be the ogre encounter at the top of the Tower of Ishal in DAO. That's how I always play it, at least.

How have I not noticed these? >.>

Well, that gives me an excuse to replay a Mage and test out that Cullen mini-mod.

That is an extremely weird requirement. Why would it be mandatory? Posted Image

Gah, I hate sword & board, and I hate tanking. I only had my Aeducan try it out, and I was bored senseless. I can't decide whether that or archery is worse.

And smailika's pics are beautiful. She has a whole array of gorgeous Fenris stuffs. She also has some Alistair, Zev, Anders, Garrus and even Thane, but most of all, gorgeous BG art. It's a rare commodity, that is. Especially when it includes Kivan and Edwin pics. And a beautiful Xan pic as well. Oh, and she's got a Valen in there too.

moto, of course! I can just run wild and make several from my own ideas and just let you choose or ya can say what you want written on it, the colour palette and size. Either way works)) I haven't done any graphical work in a while though, so I hope my stuff is still up to snuff XDD

Flesh, I really hope they do find a way. I love me some continuity, but the flag imports are a bloody mess. It takes several mods just to make the games read them semi-properly. You think they'll do it "ME Comic" style or something like that? Just let you choose your outcomes at the start of the game? If so, then they better include everything importable, not just three major plot decisions. Beauty is in the details!

Oh lordy, that does sound like loads of fun XDD Sometimes I'm sad that I'm too uptight to change the game that drastically, since these things sound awesome. Hey, can you make your dual-wielder a Blood Mage? For me~? I just think it's a wonderfully visceral combination!

And as Nilfalasiel said, kiting is when you run around in circles with the enemy following behind you but never catching up, like a kite. The default strategy for the Arishok battle is pretty much 15 minutes of that.

Nilf, you better! Those things are available right from Lothering, so you won't miss it. Just pointing out your mageness to random people brings hilarious results most of the time)) Or posing as an herbalist.

Thanks. Why? I don't know. Why does anything happen in the universe? Though, from what I gathered, it's only mandatory for the first year or so, which is still a kick in the nuts for me.

Eugh, yeah. My Aeducan is one too and I'm afraid I'll just get bored of her because of it. Bur I've already played through all the other classes and combat styles! Aghhh ;___; I'll look into a way to spec her as an offensive sword'n'boarder...

That would actually be a great idea.

Does the character pick up the Rogue's animations when you make them dual-wield? Because while the supernatural agility makes sense for a lightly armour thieving type, it might not be so credible with a heavily armoured fighter...

Okay well I found this oldier but goodie buried in the thread way back :) It sucks that I can't use it with my hipster Cullen sig lol They were different sizes and it just didn't look good =\\ But if you wanna go wild and make more Fenris sigs, I certainly won't stop you xDDD I've wanted a beautiful Fen sig for a long, long time...

Ha! Finished, and my perfect playthrough is ready to be pulled into DA2. Plot flags were all recognized. Yes, oh yes, Aedan is complete! I really, really hope we get to see what they do with the OGB storyline, my Cousland really wanted to meet his kid. Loghain is my new fave character. Hmm, if he lives in DA:O he appears in awakenings and says he is being sent to Orlais. I wonder if that means he'll get a cameo in DA:I.

Fenbear! Hawke is on his way!

coldy, yay, Fenris shots!
It's nice that people still pop in here to uphold the Fen lovin'. Kinda lonely lately... Not that I've been exceptionally active.

Nilf, it would indeed. And it’s not that hard to implement too. Now actually implementing visible consequence for all those choices is another thing altogether. I hope that don't take the ME route and say "it changes ****-all, except this one easy to miss two line side quest".

I dunno, you'll have to ask Fleshdress or moto, since I don't do that for pretty much the same reason as not morphing companions - too much power over the game world breaks my immersion.

Do so! It's so awesome! I laughed hard. The quest is easy to miss though. I only found it on my second playthrough.

Loghain certainly did many reprehensible things in the game, but I still think he's a great and well-developed character. You should give The Stolen Throne a read. Liking an imaginary personage is different from liking a person, since I'm certain few people would actually want to hang out with the Joker, but he's still an immensely popular villain because he's so fascinating XDD

moto, ooh, that is, indeed, a good one! I really like it. It's certainly better than whatever I can cook up XDD Maybe I'll still give a shot on the weekend if the inspiration hits me again.

Fleshdress, congratulations! I still have to drag my import Warden through several more quests before getting to Kas... Why u so long, game?
Also, post Fen screenshots. And throw some Hawke in there.

Ghost, well, let's see... Hmm, nope, nothin' to report. Fenris still rules and Danarius drools. Thread still barely on-topic most of the time as well. Speaking of which!

Ha-ha! I finally got around to doing that CE redesign. Still need to iron out the details and I'm not too keen on that particular scar, but the concept is on the right path now. What do ya guys think?

Yeah, it was more of a general question directed at whoever may have tried.

Loghain certainly did many reprehensible things in the game, but I still think he's a great and well-developed character. You should give The Stolen Throne a read. The thing is, I'm extremely picky about what I read (comes with being a literature major, I guess), and most of what I've heard about The Stolen Throne was not positive, so...

Loghain's a great villain, to be sure. But I find zero redeeming features in him.

Ha-ha! I finally got around to doing that CE redesign. Still need to iron out the details and I'm not too keen on that particular scar, but the concept is on the right path now. What do ya guys think?

Ooo, she looks badass. As for the scar, maybe part of why it's jarring is because no other character in the game has visible scars?

Quick pics of my duel-wielding Mage!Hawke Samuel (have to run)

Okay, back.

Nilf: Loghain isn't my favourite character because of any stellar acts on his part, I love him cause he is well rounded. I don't support his actions, and anyone but my Male!Cousland would choose Ali, but Aedan had a very Loghain mindset. Anything for his country, his people. From the very beginning I have supported many of Loghains moves, and I dissapprove of them as well. I think thats why I like him more then Ali, he isn't "spotless honor" guy, he will get down in the muck to do what he thinks is right.  Plus his dialogue with Zevran is hilarious.

Zev: I am the crow you hired to kill the wardens.
Loghain: I thought you looked familar.
Zev: Yes, I would like to report that I have failed in my mission.
Loghain: You don't say. Well... thank you for letting me know.
Zev: You're welcome.

(Or something like that.)

He can't backstab, or anything like that but he does the rest of it. slice/dice and jumps on enemies. when he does a spell he'll slash his right dagger., when I pull a rogue or mage!rogue I use medium armour, when I do a two handed weapon!Mage I usually use Ser Issacs armour or a heavy set.

I'll make the next one a bloodmage for ya Flip. This one is gonna be my canon Hawke and though he is rivalmancing it is because Sam is toad. I had every intention of friendmancing him but look at that face, does that look like a face that can friendmance... he is turning out pretty derpy.

Nilf, I never really expected to see consequences for every little dumb fetch-quest, this isn't The Butterfly Effect, but some stuff really should have made a bigger impact =__= The game world feels kinda cardboard otherwise. So, yeah, hopin' DA can find the middleground.

Can't say I disagree, the books aren't anything to write home about. I just read them for the nerd points. For what it's worth, they aren't horrible, but DG is more of a video game writer and that really shows. They're good for getting backstory and lore.

Nah, that's not it XDD I just don't like that it isn't visible most of the time.

Fleshdress, derpy or not, Sammy's really rocking that blue tat. I wanted to make someone with that tattoo colour forever, but it always clashed with the design.
Ah, I wish all the armours in the game were as cool and well-designed as the Champion armours. I know it's silly, but I just love them so much.

moto, barking up the wrong tree there, moto XDD I'm as mod crazy as the next gal (the mod count for DAO is currently well over 200), but I really do consciously stop myself from modding in cross-classes and morphing companions, 'cause that kind of power over the world is just too much for my immersionz.

Agreed, the rogue champion armour and Ser Issacs armour are my favourites of all time. I find them really dashing.

Lol, my Tats always have to match the colour of my characters eyes. Since I pretty much always roll with the Dark blue, my tats are almost always that. You can kinda tell but Couslands tat is blue as well.

The rogue armour is a work of art. It's brilliant even among the Champion armours. And the Warden sets! I especially love the ridiculous winged helmets, because they're so pretty.
Too bad that DAO didn't have many great armour designs, almost all the ones I play with are mods. These little details (armour, weapon and accessory looks and icons) are stuff I love in any game. Here's hoping we get some awesome swag in DA:I, that system they described sounded cool. Also, don't cheap out on item descriptions this time! Some of us actually read those things!

I've tried eyes many times, but I just don't feel that the colours "connect" or it makes it seem like all the details are concentrated on the face. So I match tats with hair and clothes with eyes. Sadly, that method precludes blue tattoos, since I am also too uptight to make character with hair colours that are far too outlandish. For a fantasy game.

Have you seen any of the DLC item pack armours? Cause the Arms Mac Tir armour, and The Fugitives Mantle for Mages are among my faves. And looking at the concept art I hope it stays somewhat like that. I have a thing for lots of straps. Loves the Mage Warden Armour. I love the special bits of Lore equipment, it's why I love the item packs, cause all the armour has a story behind it.

Mmm, I only find that I like it when the tat is one that falls really close to the eye... Meh I could also just be that really dark blue is my all time favourite colour.

Yeah my favorite Hawke, Eirik Hawke, wore the Arms of Mac Tir armor all throughout the game... he was a wise-cracking **** who was kind of hard against mages (WHY IS HE MY FAVORITE; I DON'T EVEN) ... but he wore that armor with the pink sleeves LOL It just fit him somehow. He was like this evil dandy.

Guys, I can't remember ....... yes, despite having romanced Fen at least, oh, 10 times now.... but is there a non-wall kiss option? I know you can either consummate the romance immediately or wait for Fenris to come back and approach you again. Doesn't one of these result in a less violent kiss?

If you wait for him to return to you later, he will say

"I've been thinking of you. Command me to go, and I shall go."

Asuming Hawke doesn't kick him out, the kiss is a bit grappling, but awkwardly cute. They still end up against the wall. But Fenris never pushes Hawke up against the wall. As for less violent...I would still call it less violent (hmmm...passionate??), but my main reason for liking the "returning" Fenris romance scene, is the kiss lines up much better. hehe....silly, but the "don't go" scene is just so off center, it feels a bit immersion breaking. HOWEVER, I will still use that if it fits with the Hawke that I am rping. Besides, every now and again, I build a Hawke that seems to line up better with Fenris for that kiss. Go figure. :D

If I could have the Sebastian Armour minus the Andraste chastity belt. Om nom nom.

Gah, I could use some advice Moto, I finally got Sams other dagger to stick, but I want to make both daggers level up with my Hawke. How do I do that?

You know what drove me nuts in DA:O? Finding all the pieces to matching Armour sets. Gah, the amount of times I found Effort, and Efforts gloves, but have somehow missed the boots is uh... everytime. to the point that I think I am picking these items up and then accidently selling them when I purge my inventory. I hope carrying stuff isn't this hard in DA:I. Who came up with a weight limit anyways? who is to say my Warden/Hawke can't carry 121 items. Sheesh.

I really like Chica Hawke's attitude in that comic XDD Make out with hot guy. Disregard crazed mage man. Get snacks. Like a boss.

Lore equipment is the tops! As a flavour text enthusiast I was really fond of that aspect of the DLC items. Heres one more for the DA:I wishlist.
I actually never had problems with armour sets since I'm one of those OCD-gamers, so I scour every last nook of every level looking for goodies. But that leads me to sharing your pain of the weight limit. The Warden can frickin' stab ogres with a hammer! Why can't he carry more than 121 things?!
