Asuming Hawke doesn't kick him out, the kiss is a bit grappling, but awkwardly cute. They still end up against the wall. But Fenris never pushes Hawke up against the wall. As for less violent...I would still call it less violent (hmmm...passionate??), but my main reason for liking the "returning" Fenris romance scene, is the kiss lines up much better. hehe....silly, but the "don't go" scene is just so off center, it feels a bit immersion breaking. HOWEVER, I will still use that if it fits with the Hawke that I am rping. Besides, every now and again, I build a Hawke that seems to line up better with Fenris for that kiss. Go figure. :D

Thanks!!! :D Yeah it depends on the Hawke. Rufus Hawke (yes derpy name goes with derpy Hawke) is silly and awkward... he's not the wall-pushing kind of guy. Also I'm really sensitive to Fenris' vulnerability this playthrough. Other playthroughs he seems pretty tough. It's weird how you can see them differently each time. This playthrough Merrill also seems more sure of herself, and Bethany is more of a warrior... possibly because I've dressed her in the same armor as her brother... possibly.

Finished first playthough of ME series! (new avatar in a memory of my first Shepard)

Well... endings... You know, nothing to add here. And I've got the good one (thanks to lower requirements), can not even imagine the bad one. Have to cool down a bit and run ME1 as it had to be run (not sleeping through). Have a good feeling about playing all games with the great interest to each of them.

I was promised the topic will be here when I return. Yet, I see Cullen's thread is almost ahead of us! Sure they discuss there mostly nail polish but still. You even forget the Top Page rule!

Here, to all your male Hawkes one more time:

... I don't think anyone in the Cullen thread's ever even mentioned nail polish lol

That pic is gorgeous *_* Though Fen looks a bit fem there.

Does your Shepard have pink hair?? Is that modded? I wish alternative hair colors existed in DA universe :( I'm sure they could have access to bleach, and natural hair dyes could be, say, bought from herbalists like Solivitus...

Pink, yes. And yes - modded. Totally accidental look but I liked it and left hair color intact.

Though, in DA modding is legal and unlike in ME (where real modding does not exist, it's a pain to get something there) in DA you can get anything in any shape or color. Or you have DA on console and can not mod?

D: Yeah it's on xbox. I can change a lot with save modifications but can't "add" anything to the game, like hair color.

She's really cool... very punk. I would love to make a pink-haired Hawke.

I honestly don't think my laptop is anywhere close to being capable of playing games like these, even though it is pretty new... I did ALMOST buy DA2 on PC about a year ago, but I eventually figured out how to mod xbox saves, and that kept me happy enough. But still.

I think that things like different hairstyles and colors could/should be a DLC maybe... sort of like how you can download new hairstyles and such for the Sims after the initial base game. It would not be resource intensive and would not be forced upon those who don't want "immersion-breaking" stuff in their game.

Amirit, out of curiosity, which ending do you consider to be "the good one"? And thank the Maker for the lowered requirements, I have zero tolerance for multiplayer games where any sort skill on my part is required, since I suck =__=

Bah! The Cullen thread hasn't even hit 2000 pages! We're still in the lead. And while not exactly nail polish-related, our conversations here are also rarely 100% on topic XDD

Ah, Awakening approval bugs. Gotta love those things. Andy and Nate, Alim's best pals personality-wise, are stalwartly sitting at 100 (Warm), while Sigrun and Justice fell in Love with the elven mage half a quest after meeting him. Well, can't say I mind the last part all that much XDD

By "the good one" I meant the set of good. Maximal, I think. My choice was "Destruction" of course (was there really any choice?) And if I got it correctly, Shepard even lives. So, you can not get anything better then that. But man how did they screw the crew!

@motomotogirl - totally agree about Hair-styles DLC. That way console-users would not be left out with mods, compatablility would not be an issue, and everything would be within the game style (no immersion brakes). Probably the reason they do not do it exactly this - do not want to be blamed for transforming RPG into Sims.

So, not a frequentar here, but, felt this was relevant, in relatableness to Fenris and whatnot. I was watching the first playthrough videos of Assassin's Creed III, and about 20 minutes in, an assassin appears whose voice is WAY too familiar it's nearly uncomfortable.

After some digging, it turns out he's voiced by none other than the wonderful Gideon Emery himself. While he won't have an extensive role by the look of it, I did fangirl hugelly about this. Dragon Age and Assassin's Creed, two of my favourites combined as one.

*drags self away from job* My boss is grounded in New York and everything has gone to hell. I can't... just... uhg.

That is an adorable kitten Eggs.

Lol, Moto, the warden doesn't need a horse, he has a Golem.

Amirit, I loved synthesis to be honest.

Aedan is actually the first run through where I managed to get sigrun past warm. For some reason I feel like I am missing a bunch of quests in DA2, the conspirators? Can't seem to find them. Love that they mentioned my Cousland and Zevran properly so far.:)

Lily, I am also very excited for AC3! Gideon being in it is like icing on the cake. Possibly the best part.

@Fleshdress: That ending is wrong for so many reason - I would not even know where to begin (though I am sure you heard all of them anyway). But no arguing here - you like it so it's a good ending. My main problem is with horrific plot holes, ignoring codex and terrible crew handling. The endings themselves I can live with.

Hi guys *waves madly*

I've barely been around the last month or so - I have been lurking but, yunno.

This is mainly because we've found out we're expecting an ickle baby in May. Am about 13 weeks now so happy telling everyone. I promise once the intial exhaustion has worn off I'll be back in force. :pinched:

Also I'm a bit more active on Tumblr (mainly because I can easily use it on my phone) and am over there as TheLoopyLlama.

:)

Day three of twelve hour shifts and I am so exhausted. It's so slow in here!

What's your guys opinion on Fenris keeping his slave name? Do you think in your canon he ever tried to go back to Leto?

Leto means nothing to him now. He _knows_ it was his name but do not really remember. Beside, that little boy is dead anyway, Fenris has changed too much to go back.

Firstly, I think it would be difficult to literally change one's own identity like that. It sort of reminds me of women who change their last name after marriage. It seems like it would be so hard to think of oneself as ... not oneself (in a manner of speaking). I mean I just earned a new title in front of my name, but I can't even comprehend THAT. I think of myself as the person before that title, the "me" that has always been. And for Fenris, because of the memory wipe, "Fenris" is all he has ever been. "Leto" would be as artificial as putting a title in front of one's name or taking a new last name.

I think Fenris is also re-defining "Fenris" by not reverting back to Leto. "Fenris" can mean "slave name," yes, but also represents the person who freed himself from slavery. "Fenris is a free man!" Hawke tells the slave hunters. The look on Fenris' face is heartbreaking when s/he says that. It makes me wonder what he's thinking in that moment: "Does s/he really think of me like that? Do *I* think of me like that? A free man?"

Gahh my Fenris feels, they never fade :crying:

Hi guys! Gosh, I've been away a while now. But, like Staar, I've been lurking, but not posting.

So, has everyone heard about the third Dragon Age game? Apparently it's going to be called "Inquisition". And once again, you can only be human. Which . . . is a little saddening, but understandable of they're going to give him/her a voice. Having six different voice sets would have been a long time-consuming and expensive process.

But, they also said that the races will have a big impact on the story. So, yeah . . . each to their own on this?

Again, if it's already been discussed, sorry. I've been out of the loop for a while now! :-p
