I just want to say that regardless of whether or not the fan-made film appeals, it's nice to see that Fenris is not simply fading into obscurity. Some publicity is better than no publicity. Besides, I am all for people having fun whether it appeals to me or not and imagining a romance with Fenris is fun. The actor playing Fenris looks great. I mean, as great as a human playing an elf can look. Full marks for that.

Anyway, I have a quick question. I should ask this on the Alistair thread but I have no idea how active it is and I don't see it on the forum o_O I must be looking in the wrong place.

Someone said to me that Alistair comments about sleeping with the dogs? When does he do this and where? I finally figured out how to make him comment about the stables but does he do the same for dogs? I am determined to hear every single one of his lines (sad I know but the voice actor is awesome) and after upteen billion playthroughs I still can't get that particular dialogue to trigger. I also have a question about Fenris and Hawke but I'll ask later when and if I have more time.

You must be referring to the "Fereldan dogs" banter he has with Zev. That one is bugged in the vanilla game. You need the Zevran Dialogue Fixes (or ZDF) mod installed to trigger it.

No, during fireside chit chats he jokes to the Warden that he was raised by dogs. This is when the Warden probes him about having been raised by Arl Aemon (Eamon?).

Eamon, yes. That's also a possibility. I just thought that, since aldien mentioned "sleeping with dogs" and not "raised by dogs" that it was referring to the banter, not the conversation. The "Fereldan dogs" banter has Zev asking Alistair whether it's true that Fereldans can't go to sleep without a dog in their bed, Alistair says it's not true, Zev says it must've been a reference to Fereldan women then, and Alistair laughs. Besides, the "raised by dogs" comment is rather easy to trigger, it's just a matter of picking the right conversation choice, so I can't imagine why someone would have difficulty with it.

 I think aldy means the "I... ahh... slept with the hounds." This triggers when you're about to infiltrate Howe's castle to rescue queen Anora. Alistair should say this somewhere in the garden. I'm not sure whether you have to click on something to get him to say it.

Hmm, don't recall that one. That could be because, in a vanilla game, random companion comments aren't 100% certain to trigger. If you want to be absolutely sure that it will fire, I think it's Improved Atmosphere that force-triggers all companion comments (so you can have multiple companions commenting on something, rather than just one).

Anyway, Alistair's got a lot of dialogue about dogs!

That's the one Ren! Thanks for finding the video. You know, I think I have been near the fountain with him before and it did not trigger. The only difference this time was that I had Morrigan with me in that pt. I'm sure that has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I have IRS installed but not improved atmosphere and it did trigger. So sad the way he says it Now off to make a hardened Alistair angry at Landsmeet. Hmmm can't imagine why I saved this for last

Maybe it is IRS, I dunno. I've got both, so I can't say for sure. It just seemed more logical that IA would implement something as global as 100%-firing comments.

It's also entirely possible that you got lucky on that playthrough and got the comment to fire. I remember having a lot of trouble with Sten's approval on my first vanilla playthrough, because none of his field comments fired, so I had nothing to talk to him about at camp

Hey guys! Fell off the face of the planet for a bit there.

I am playing my Archer/Mage at this point of time (sort of, my brain is being eaten by the HP fandom again and for some reason I have a slight Tom Felton stalker-ish thing going on. ), but I actually wanted to know if there were any Diplo specific lines between Hawke and Fenris that I should be looking for? The other day I came across his "If you can't handle it, run away, and let me take care of it" and I am all for empowerment, but I swooned.

Now Aldy, ya gots it all wrong.  April and Ren are just a pervie as Ghost (thank the gods for pervs).  But me....I'm just silly/goofy.  I have a foul mouth, mind you (especially when I put booze in it...*gafaw!*), but pictures....nahhh.
