In Karpishin's defense - ME novels do not touch game characters (almost, or only very secondary) and I think MrFlipFlops is absolutely right about media change affecting his writing. It does feel like he was trying to describe the movie to a blind man. So, no I am afraid to touch Assunder - Gaider does play with already existing characters and the future one too.

We need Fenris here. So, one more with another Merry Christmas wish!

Hello Mr. Flipflops! It's nice to read your upbeat posts once again I've missed mucking about on the Fenris thread. Coldy kept it going. I think she is drunk now. Her latest post makes me wonder I'm just jealous because she has better booze than me.

To be fair, I do read the DA wiki. It's not the novels but it is based on the game and book lore. It gives insight into the characters and the DA world in general, so I guess that makes me a hypocrite in some regards. I guess I like being able to imagine what happens to the characters when it is not explicitly stated. But I also understand that need to be informed. It also helps form opinions and gives insight where there is none in the game.

Thank you very much Coldy! I didn't know you were still reading. I love Sol and his comb over. Did you ever notice it? He had a short appearance in the game but I found him to be quite an interesting character and charming. Unfortunately, there is very little fanfic about Sol. I did find an excellent story concerning him and Bethany. If you are interested I'll post the link. It's sweet but not too sentimental and a bit sad. It makes you want to free the mages. There's also another story about him and Genitivi. I think they get it on in that story. Can't remember.

Merry Christmas everyone! Time to move presents under the tree. Hmmm I tell my daughter not to lie, yet I make up stories about a man wearing red, breaking into our house after midnight to deliver her suspect goods. o_O Where's the flaw in that logic? @aldy - BOOOOOOZE! ok, got that outta the way. As for Sol.....Of course I noticed his comb-over. He is the only DA character that can pull that look off.
I do adore his cameoed spots in DA2, and I think you did a fantastic job characterizing him. I think YOU (yes you, ya dumb broad *giggle*) should write a Sol + Issy short-shot. As for the the fics you recommend; I like the idea behind him and Bethany, but Brother Genetivi.....bah! A world of 'NO'! LOL
It takes every bit of will power not to kill the dumb mudda-fugga in DAO. Such a louse. ppppbbbbtttts!

I think it's better for your Fen sim that you can't conjure up wine for him, though, since you've already managed to make him drink so much that he pees himself (yes, I remember things like that xD).

The previous time I posted that you liked his pjs! After all the spiky armor, Fenris wants to wear something soft when he goes to sleep. 
And... well... it's the only medievally alternative kind of pjs I have for my sims. I can't let him pose in checkered pants now, can I?

Hey now Coldy ignorance is bliss! Hmmmm pulling off a one shot with Issy and Sol would be a challenge. It took everything I had to convince people they could get their groove on together.

I didn't say I liked the idea of Sol and Genitivi. I just know there is a story out there concerning the two. The one with Sol and Bethany is really nice and strangely believable. I didn't do it, just said that I could if I wanted to. Although I just tried it and it turned out I had deleted the handbags, because I didn't think I would need them. So no handbag for Fenris after all.

The game model is definitely not smaller than Fenris, no. It's hard to compare their heights, because Fenris imitates Quasimodo all the time, but FHawke's ass is absolutely broader than Fenris'. Perhaps that's just because of her special hip joints.

Ren, concerning Lady Hawke's special hips... Oh, Maker, I remember when I first rolled a female I just ran circles around the Blightlands crying "Oh nonono, she's gonna break in half! This looks so painful!" Got used to it after a while, though. Plus, these sorts of shenanigans seemed to fit a woman after Isabela's heart XDD

How do you and Ren get the cool poses and the great props? I really want Fen in a santa hat now! Not sure who has the legendary booze between Coldy and me. She probably does since I spent too much at Christmas.

I absolutely love the synchronized sword moves with Kas and Fen. Shall they take up synchronized swimming next? I can just see Fen in one of those blue caps and sequins. Plenty of sequins.

@ aldy: honestly all credits for that go to the amazing modders out there. I did the poses with a sex pose box that someone made. xD All I had to do was assign them their respective poses, dump them on the bed and try to make them "fit" without one's arm sticking through the other one's back or something like that. Which was challenging enough in itself.  I don't know if similar things exist for Sims 3. I've heard that it's more difficult to mod that game, so perhaps there are no pose boxes for that one.

With the candle I was going for some kind of romantic angle, but I see now that an effort like that is always spoiled by you. xD Yes, Fenris' woohoo is just FLAMING. Happy now?

What kind of Fen fic are you looking for Coldy? In my opinion, some of the best Fen fics are the early ones. I found some great ones that received few reviews, but I suspect were written before he gained popularity. I think these characters have spikes in their popularity, and if you happen to be writing the fanfiction at that time, the reviews are plentiful. I don't mean that for everyone but since I found many great Fenris fics from the earlier days, when the game was new, I have to wonder. I have some recommendations. Just let me know what you are looking for.

I have a few that I have really enjoyed, and they are all over the place (as far as style, before Kirkwall, after Kirkwall, AU, ect....) I remember a very sad story in which Fenris dies of lyrium poisoning, but it's not in my favourites because I didn't have a fanfaction account back when I read it, and I don't recall the name. It was split up in three parts and I cried reading the 2 and 3. xD

Other than that I'm afraid I haven't read that many. I really need to search for more when I have the time.
