Just a quick hello from me...hope you're all ok?

My son has got me playing guild wars 2 at the moment which is why I've been so quiet. I had never been interested in it until one day I gave in and tried it.

Within the first few minutes I heard a very familiar voice. I spent ages running round trying to find that character and then when I did I shouted at the top of my voice FENRIS!!!!

There are lots of NPC's voiced by Gideon so most of my time is spent on a Fenris hunt

Guild Wars is a good game but the DA series will always be number 1 on my play list!

Anyway, I'm off on a Fenris hunt, don't do anything I wouldn't.. basically get into as much trouble as you want!

Soooooo, it continues to be very 'still' in here. Fine. My hand has been forced, and I will start asking silly Fenris related questions, that have most likely been covered ad nauseum in this very thread.....somebody STOP ME!!!

Question 1

We are all pointedly aware of Fenris' penchant for "No Shoes". However, this got me thinking....I have a continued story of one of my Hawkes, wherein Hawke and Fenris eventually end up back in Fereldan. In fact, they move around a bit, and spend some time in some less than sunny locations. SO, as you can imagine Hawke not wanting Fenris to lose toes, insists that he wears shoes. Now in my story, he is completely fine with the idea of the shoes (Fenris seems like a character who does still understand the practicality of things), but it does make you wonder if he might "argue" with a Hawke who insists (or suggests...depending on personality type), that they go some place so climatically different, than Fenris is used to.

How much resistance to locale and clothing changes, do you think Fenris would have? And, would this depend solely on the situation (example, being pursued by Templars in the case of an apostate Hawke....or they cheated the Coterie/Carte/*insert crime family here* out of money or goods, ect....)?  Or might it depend on the type of Hawke he was with (one that is good at appealing to Fenris' ego, or one that is just so damnably pragmatic, or one that is waxing nostalgia for the homeland he/she grew up in)?

Question 2

Do you think your Hawke could get Fenris to like fish....eventually?

In the meantime, have a "Porcupine Fenris"........

Um... If you think it would a good part in your story of fenris and hawke, then play with it (the writing) but if your all too unsure then don't write it, coldwetn0se.

Not sure what you mean.  I was using one of my Hawkes "extended" storylines (i.e. what happens after the games events), as an example regarding Fenris' reaction to moving with Hawke to a colder climate than he is used to. The questions were meant for anyone who wished to answer for their own Hawke and Fenris. Just a little "prompt" game, that I poorly executed because I was bored, and saw that the Fenris thread lacked activity. Weird questions have been a staple for these threads, from time to time. Nothing serious (or regarding anything I am currently writing), just meant for fun....

Coldi, I think Fenris can be practical when he wants to be, so shoes in the snow would be good. Or the hot sand....Fenris on the beach, in a mankini. Can somebody draw this please? Rawwr

However, I don't know about the fish. I kinda doubt that one.

Okay, so I see those questions got "lost in translation", so I will go back to just posting random pictures and "poking" the thread from time to time. Maybe I will get lucky, and force @aldien out of hiding, and convince her to update her fanfic...*major obvious hint!*

I re-acquired DA2 and I'm replaying it, rivalmancing Fenris of course.

He got all jealous when Zevran hit on Hawke, which was adorable. But he also told the Arishock that she isn't female. Hehe. I love that elf so much.

Does anyone know if there is a fanfic where Hawke gives Fenris over to Danarius, and the other companions mount an impressive rescue aboard Isabela's new ship? Because if not, that really needs to exist.

@Amirit - nice find! And of course, lets give a round of applause for a role on True Blood....good to see ya, Mr. Emery! Gideon was just on the show airing last night (didn't see it till tonight, courtesy of DVR).
Looking forward to future shows with him on. Catch it, if you were ever curious what Fenris would sound like with a Southern American accent, and if you are a fan of True Blood (HBO).

There is one more poem from the same character (actually, it's more simple to watch the whole smugglers story on Voss). I was glad to see it because this is the rare case I could recognise Emery right away, even when his voice is modified like that.

Have never seen True Blood before but now will check it out for sure.

Long time no seen I been playing an aggresive F-Hawke and that was a new experience, and fun. I was able to friendly romance fenris with 100% at the start of act 3, thats a record for me. I hope you all is well and some updates is coming soon.

I was reading through this thread earlier (am newish to the forums, though not to the game) and was interested in particular in the playlist for Fenris. I am not sure I caught all the songs (this is a loooong thread to catch up on!) but I wondered if anyone else thought that Muse/Time Is Running Out was perfect for a rivalmanced mage!Hawke.

Don't know the song personally, but the lyrics seem to work quite nicely.

If I remember correctly, a few posters on the thread did have Muse on their list of Fenris music.
