Fenris: *thinking* She's propositioning me? Oh boy oh boy oh boy *aloud* SURE I'LL TAKE IT OFF, HEHE
Isabela: *haha I've totally got him wrapped around my finger; I've only got to pull the string* Nah I like it rough, none of that romantic bullsh!t!
Fenris: *confused*
Isabela: *soon he will be mine, mwhahaha*
Me: :| I'm never letting them in the party together again.
Even though Hawke is aaalmost in a relationship with Fenris, he still considers Isabella?!

I comfort myself in the knowledge that my Hawke screws Fenris so hard his life flashed before his eyes. ![]()
Izzy didn't do that. MUWAHAHAHAHA

I actually enjoy Fenris-Isabela romance. When I'm not romancing him someone is talking care of him.
After a long time it was starting to grow on me. Then I read on these boards what is revealed about Isabela's backstory in one of the comics, and it makes me absolutely sick. Isabela does not deserve a ship, and her sleeping with Fenris is sooo wrong. Gahh, every time I think about it I get mad that a stupid comic I haven't even read managed to completely ruin a character I used to like. ![]()

Yeah, I only got him to turn her down when they have that dialogue post the Questioning Beliefs/Alone aftermath. Prior to that he always plays along. I was always disappointed when he did. Not the answer I was looking for, Fenris! ![]()
Some recent Fenris art to make up for my long absence and angry arrival. ![]()

I absolutely love Fenris-Isabela romance, when i'm not romancing him. Don't be so selfish people, let the guy have some pleasure in life, he deserves it.
Not all of his life should be roller-coaster like this:

I don't recruit Isabela most of the time or I have her ditch me in act 2 XD so poor Fen's stuck either with Hawke or single (I hc my Hawke's that are with Anders going back to him after Chantry BS happens).

I'm not being selfish. I just think that Fenris deserves better than a selfish, lying hypocrite whose heart he would sooner rip out than sleep with her if he knew what exactly she had on her conscience. ![]()

Yeah...that comic kind of made me ugggh on FenrisxIsabela. I was so so on it before but now? NOPE.
And you can't really compare it to Fenris' killing of the people who helped him. He was in slave mentality mode. Isabela was just a slaving pirate who killed her cargo to save her ass after she tried to sell them for profit in the first place. Not the best of light.

What she did was indeed horrible, and I woudn't compare it with what Fenris did. But from what I understand of the comic (I haven't read it), she didn't want to transport them in the first place.Yeah...that comic kind of made me ugggh on FenrisxIsabela. I was so so on it before but now? NOPE.

Mind you, I'm not trying to justify what she did. It's just that your post gave me the vibe of a person that would do it again and didn't have a problem with want she did.
Regardless, what there is between Isabela and Fenris in the case they hook up is nothing serious.

Nah I don't think she'd do it again. She was horrified enough by her doing it that she freed the slaves the second time that happened. But just her being a slaver and then dumping them is something I see putting far more of a gray cloud over any relationship she and Fenris could have (even just as FWB) than Hawke's mage supporting ways could. Even at his/her worse the people Hawke kills are usually fully capable of defending themselves, or are threats to people around them. (The only exception to this I believe is that jerkass Javaris and he's just a jerkass).

I agree on the relationship thing, but I seriously doubt that Gaider thought about the comic event when they were developing DA2.

It's in Those who speak I believe.

That's why I hate EU with backgrounds that aren't even hinted at in the game. It changes her "Even I know that's wrong" to a very different theme.

I don't think Fenris would rip out Isabela's heart, as that'd mean crossing Hawke, which he refuses to do. He'd probably just act pissy to her like he does Merrill and Anders.
Also, to be honest, I don't think Fenris necessarily deserves much more slack for his "Kill him and be done with it" line regarding Anders than Anders does with his line about possibly selling Fenris.

Did you intentionally omitted first half of the quote - "He wants to die", which Anders does by the time of Last Straw, or was it by accident? Now tell me, if Fenris wants to become a slave again, so we can justify Anders' suggestion the same way.

Anders doesn't want to die, he's just prepared for it if Hawke chooses to kill him.

He wants to be a martyr, a symbol of mages freedom, and he wants Justice free. From what i know, first and last part requires death.
