Thank you for all the suggestions.
I prefer a fanfic within da DA2 lore. During, or after the events of DAII.
So if you have more good ones, please share. I have read one beautiful femShep/Thane once. It moved me to tears. I hope I will find another fanfic with same quality.

I usually ship Fenris with femHawke, so i'm afraid i have little to add for your request, besides what i've already posted.

How about AU but still takes place in Thedas with all the same characters? I'm only chapter 5 or 6 but so far I'm LOVING it: http://archiveofouro...hapters/1426056
Personally, I only liked Coffee, Black up to a point; after about chapter 10 or so it seemed to lose steam (for me). Also, and this is probably something I should reserve for the Confessions thread, but I prefer Hawke/Fenris to Fenris/Hawke ![]()
Shameless tiny self-promotion, I wrote a teeny tiny fic here: https://www.fanficti...An-Act-of-Mercy
It takes place in Act 1, so it's pre-romance. But... the fires of love are already there ![]()

Well... I have two.
The links are in my sig. Ahaha, okay, that was shameless. I'm sorry. I'm trying to think of some.
I really enjoyed Coffee, Black, despite it being an alternate universe fic and I don't usually read those: http://archiveofouro...chapters/366263
I'm trying to come up some others, but the some of the ones I enjoyed the most have ended up abandoned.
Oh Ill check out yours. Thanks. ![]()
I do not really like alternate universes :/ But thanks anyways. others?
How come they are abandoned? If you come up with others, please share.

Again, I'll also not kill Loghain despite his slaving ways.
Loghain could be justified because he's actually can be useful to the warden. So it's not the same scenario at all.

I do wonder why Varric warns Hawke to be with Fenris in "Friendly Concern". Hm.

I know I'm dredging this out of the past here, but i was surprised to see that the Fenris thread was still the original and decided to peak into the past a bit. This so should have been a thing! ;pHAH!
^
Hawke: Drat... The sun is down again. And we are still soooo far away from the camp.
Bethany: I know! This is suuuch an issue. What are we to do? Walk around blindly into a trap?
Hawke: "I haven't the faintest clue! What shall we do?"
*Both eye Fenris fiendishly*
Fenris: "... Oh for..." *Rolls eyes, takes off shirt, and follows the path in a grump.
Bethany & Hawke fist bump.
Apologies, I'm over tired and feeling a bit eccentric.

Hopefully this hasn't been posted here yet; if you've ever wanted to know what Fenris would sound like in Japanese, now you can find out!
There's not much of him right now because the current Hawke is with Anders and the Tumblr is on an unannounced hiatus at the moment, but there's enough to hear his voice. ![]()

Hmm Japanese experts correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm probably wrong
) but I find it interesting that Fenris says "Ore wa Fenris" instead of "Boku wa Fenris"; it's kind of like he's saying "don't **** with me" right off the bat LOL

It is quite the aggressive speech pattern. In normal life there are contexts where it can even be considered out right rude. (Like meeting your girl friend's parents) But it isn't so unusual in the circumstances of meeting him in Thedas. I wouldn't say it's quite like saying "don't bleep with me," but it is a showing a virile self confidence.Hmm Japanese experts correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm probably wrong

Heh, I remember having a lot of trouble with Fenris in Night Terrors. His tactics were set in such a way that he immediately would use Mighty Blow on me. That staggered my poor mage and cost most of his health. Then all that was left to do for Fenris was swing his sword a few time more, and Hawke was dead.
After several tries I stole Fenris' sword and disabled the Mighty Blow tactic before confronting the demon.

I hated fighting Fenris in Night terrors. I loved the scene afterwards cause it gave me a little more Fenris content but that fight was brutal. I forgot how I speced him but he was one hit killing the shyt out of my poor mage. I had to pause at the start of the fight enough to react and get away from him. Worse is that I had Varric with me who Fenris also one hit killed. lol!

Heh, how did your mage survive? That's the Mighty Blow on screenshots, idk how much health your mage got to survive it. Or maybe your difficulty was lower.

I'm guilty of that too... my mage Hawke died in short order when confronted with Fenris. I disarmed him, though and the bastard had some other, no-name sword to hit me with anyway! Is that a PS3 glitch? In the end, I came back to that quest once I had invested a bit in grenades and did the pride demon encounter first so I could have Isabela (while I still had her) toss grenades at him right off the bat. Then I could deal with him. lol!

It's not a glitch, all characters have "default" weapons with low damage (something like 3). The thing is that skill damage are greatly affected by primary attribute (STR for warriors, DEX for rogues etc.), which is why even with default weapon skills can hit pretty hard, if you have invested a lot of points into primary attribute.

I dunno. He was a spirit healer. Perhaps that boosts healht a little? I don't remember.
I haven't played DA2 on Nightmare, so that could be the reason as well. I think this was Hard difficulty, but that Mighty Blow did seriously hurt my mage. It can't have been more than 25% of health left, and Fenris made quick work of that too. ![]()

Yeah, one of the (few) things I disliked about DA2 is that when you removed a character's weapon a default weapon would appear no matter what. A character could never be totally unarmed.

Or Fenris had most points put into health. Ugh, i hate when people screw the DPS machine so badly and make him walking meat bag.
PS. Spirit Healer spec adds to mana, btw.
