I'm guessing she is referring to Hawke's rather tame and unfazed reaction by Fenris' sudden departure. The man practically bolts out of your bedroom. Showing more surprise, hurt or even irritation/anger are all plausible reactions and do not necessarily mean Hawke is heading into abusive territory, although caution would have been needed.

Yes that is excatly what I meant. I mean, in reality a girl being emotionally invested in someone would have been maybe a little bit upset at him leaving after having sex with you. But maybe that's just me being a girl......................

Then again, maybe Hawke really did understand his inner conflict and confusion. He really hasn't had much experience with such things after all.

Its all good in the end anyways right? Even if it took him 3 years...

Haha, it's not just you. I think I wailed at my screen in disappointment when he immediately left after the kiss. I don't think it's strange to expect Hawke is surprised and upset then, especially if  they didn't sleep with each other right at the end of Bitter Pill and Fenris came to the mansion with the "I have been thinking of you".

And I think Hawke (or at least, most Hawkes) do understand that Fenris is conflicted and that he is not leaving because he has had his fun. Still doesn't mean Hawke can't be hurting/feeling frustrated too. :) I guess it's up to headcanon how exactly Hawke views Fenris' departure, e.g. with bitterness, sympathy, annoyance. Can all be fair, but if they're too resentful of Fenris "abandoning" them there may be a problem for the reunion. If Hawke sees it as too much of a betrayal that could hurt the trust and foundation of the relationship between them. But if that's the case Hawke can turn Fenris down in A3.

Have another silly comic. :D

As much as I would like to believe she would be back...she probably won't be. Unless she somehow defeated the nightmare demon and found another rift to jump out of. But seeing as the fade is pretty much infinite, the chances are extremely low. One can hope though...

As for Fenris...well you better hope he doesn't go kill himself after finding out she's...gone. That's why I chose Loghain instead

I think they put the word "likely" in it as a safeguard, in case they think of another way to (ab)use Hawke. Then they can bring them back and point at that sentence: "aHA! But it didn't say they were guaranteed to die!" But I don't believe they intend to include Hawke in the next game at the moment. I suppose we will be lucky if Hawke survives in Weisshaupt, because apparently they "disappeared" there as well. <_<

I dont think he'd kill himself at all. I just got a banter with him and anders where anders asked him that exact question, and fenris said he's sure the maker wouldn't want him too. It seems contradictory to his other banters with Sebastian since he doesn't believe the maker had a hand in his freedom, but I don't think he would "just in case...." if anything, he'd make his way to the Inquisition to find varric and figure out wtf happened.

I had varric in my party and no special convos happened with him and Hawke :( and he got just as emotional when I killed stroud!! The music played and he was all sad...I felt duped!!

Weisshaupt would be a good place for her to reappear though. Maybe she'll find whatever flemeth stuck in the fade...

Here we go:

"We stand upon the precipice of change. The world fears the inevitable plummet into the abyss. Watch for that moment... and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap. It is only when you fall that you learn whether you can fly."

But Hawke didn't fly, she just fell!!

Yeah but that was before Hawke was in the picture. Hawke says that the reason she left Fenris behind was because he would have killed himself to save her if the situation ever arose. He may not actually commit suicide, but he would probably put himself in harms way intentionally which could result in death rather than simply plunging a dagger in his chest.

Let's just hope that Hawke somehow finds her way back to him anyways. Wasn't happy when I found out she suddenly "disappears."

That conversation really, really bothers me and personally I can't take it at face value (I think he's intentionally vague about it too).  It treads way to close to IRL victim blaming rhetoric and an attempt to minimise trauma (which is essentially what Anders is trying to do)

Hi guys! Quicky question that came up on another thread and I totally apologize if this is somewhere 2k pages ago.... I'm writing a little fic with fenris and was wondering whats the established thought on why he hasn't lost his mind from his ever so close proximity to lyrium?? Templars start hallucinating when they're withdrawing from it, dwarves go nuts when they mine it for too long, so I was just curious if fenris is unnaturally resilient to it, or if the way it was placed in him was "safe" if impossibly painful?? it just seems anti lyrium lore that it's in him....

"Magic". That's pretty much the only answer we have. Whatever Danarius did to create the markings, he must have done something to keep the lyrium stable in Fenris' body and prevent it from harming him. Fenris himself says warriors like him are rare and Gaider even said he is the only one, so it stands to reason the ritual is an extremely risky process and Fenris is a lucky/resilient exception to survive. Gaider's speculation that the markings might grow unstable once Danarius is dead and no longer able to "maintain" them also suggests it is related to magic.

Oh no! Like a contractual binding kinda thing, " if I go, you go"??? But...but.... :( not cool... thanks for the insight, magic is as good an answer as any!

Hey ringtones! Is gideon doing anything fun like greg ellis or steve valentine has done recently? I haven't seen anything and gideon has the voice of a god....

Wonder what he would say....hmmmm...

Jeez, it's speculation, don't raise your hackles :) Gaider just tossed every possibility, and ofc fans latched onto the most grim one.

Yeah, by no means is it guaranteed to happen. :) Gaider was speculating, and maybe it is the scenario he personally has in mind for Fenris, but as long as it doesn't make it into a game you can dismiss it like any other headcanon.  ;) I brought it up because it does suggest magic has something to do with the markings not outright killing Fenris or making him go crazy.

Meh.

Fenris looks alright... but everything that comes out of his mouth is rot.
And the moment he started speaking Qunari, I just wanted to cut his head off.  I do not abide Qun-sympathisers.

Needless to say he rarely ever got used.
My party was 3-mage,1-rogue pretty much always.
At least it was funny to sell Fenris back to the Tevinters...  =3

... He's not a Qun-sympathizer. That he knows a bit of their ways and language doesn't mean he is on their side. He holds no illusions that life under the Qun would be preferable to his life as a slave.

I'd conduct a long lecture on brain dysfunction of a person, who finds making others suffer funny, But I'll just remind you of an old saying: "Do as you would be done by."
