And is this about qun sympathizer? I don't think so...I'm pretty sure living a strip of water away from Par Vollen would've taught any intelligent person a thing or two.
Anywhoo, thanks guys!
Maybe he's not fully human (or elven, as it were)?
He could be like Cole and not know it.
At least it was funny to sell Fenris back to the Tevinters... =3
How is that funny?

Yup it's absolutely hilraious to ship him back to Darnirius so he can brainwash, rape and torture Fenris and Fenris pretty much becoming an obdient lapdog. Joke of the century right there! ![]()
I feel it should belong in here:
da2 is full of monster stories, but fenris’s might be my favourite.
it’s a story about what comes after a terrible thing has been done to you, and done again, until you live your life in wait for terrible things; and you are also the terrible thing, the thing remade in the shape of brutality, with violence graven into the soft animal hide of you. (violence has never been a question it has always been the answer, the only answer, before all other things. you keep your head low and your voice brief and you do not think about your gentler hungers.)it’s about the body, about fettered skin and hands and blood and tongue, about having your flesh forcibly rewritten until it isn’t yours, it’s the prison that holds you in unnaturalness, an arcane language of savagery and threat and punishment. fenris can’t read, was never taught, and after he escapes and finds hawke learning to read is a slow and frustrating labour, because after all those years in the dark you need a new alphabet and new words for this new bright world in which you walk free but sometimes drag behind you the shadows of your chains.i am very very wretched about fenris’s sharp metal-cased hands touching faces gently and clumsily and reverently, because after the terrible thing has been done to you, you can still choose: you are full of ghosts, there is a violence in you that will never drain out entirely, but it is yours, only you can wield it, and there are lines you have drawn, will draw again and again, here and no further. the strange paths of your body can be yours again, you can choose by inches to be your gentler hungers, to be soft-skinned and tender and capable of love, even if this light is only a brief space between two darknesses.
I love that post. It's beautiful, especially the last paragraph.
I'm not usually one to ship the Male Hawke/Fenris romance, but this comic about it is amazing...sort of along the lines of this post.

It's pretty long but worth the read. God I love Fenris so much...
Please Bioware, show us more Fenris!
Can never have too much Fenris.

Fenris before the ritual
I always wondered if the ritual also made him deliciously tanned, because seeing him and Varania standing next to each other...she's a ghost in comparison. `
That really is a wonderful image and he looks great. I've seen mods that gave Fenris black hair, but for some reason it never looked nearly as good as this picture!

Doesn't seem likely that lyrium would have that effect on the skin. At least I don't know how that would work. But the there's no resemblance to be found with Varania no matter what. Hair, facial shape, skin... it's all completely different. I guess it's possible - me and my younger sister look nothing alike - but it may be they just did not spend a lot of time creating her, considering how brief her appearance is.

She looks purple. WIth red hair. Definitely rushed character design. But, then again it would be kinda weird to have someone look similar to Fenris...I like that he is unique to most of the character designs in DA.

In reality, yeah totally rushed thing.
There's absolutely nothing in game that suggests this (so completely headcanon territory), but it's not complete outside realm of possibility that they're not full siblings.
Her appearance is most likely rushed and besides she's not going to appear again.
OMG.. I so miss 2 Stupid Dogs.
Also, I
Fenris.
I love Fenris. Maybe not quite as much as Zevran, but still. ![]()
Currently on my first DA2 playthrough, friendmancing him as a mage. (I actually have both him & Anders maxed out on friendship thanks to shameless party manipulation, plus a few lucky guesses.) That cutscene after All That Remains was so sweet and appropriate it made my teeth ache. In a situation like that, sometimes all you really need is just to know someone's there who cares about you.

That one is great, but I counter with the most awesomely succinct comic that hits me hard in the M!Hawke/Fenris feels every time:

These damn elves are so distracting! I was trying to write more to my DAI fic and I ended up rolling back to write more on my DA2 one with my FemHawke and Fenris...
I regret nothing, but at this rate I'll never finish my DAI stories! ![]()

Link plz??? I love me some fenris fics.
Haha, I think you're the first person to ever ask me that, I'm all embarrassed ![]()
I don't really share my fanfiction freely...I think a lot of it is rubbish (I'm my own worst critic xD) but as it stands I haven't uploaded any of my Fenris fics yet, at least none that are finished (I write bits and pieces then struggle to fit them both together...) so maybe when I come up with something to finally post, I will.
For what it's worth, my fics are here: http://tempestpyre.d...e-Short-Stories (I didn't realise that my link dropped off my signature, oops!)
Critique is appreciated, my writing style is weird...

Finally got around to reading this and SO MANY FEELS. I now need to play a male mage!Hawke and see if I can manage a Fenris rivalmance.
(I do wish DA2 had conversations about same-sex relationships, though. Anders is the only LI I've come across who talks about his attraction to men. I can understand Fenris' reticence, given his history, but even so it'd be nice to be able to have that sort of conversation with him. And my F!Hawkes have always gone for Fenris.)

Is there any other? No really
Rivalmance is hot. I implore you to do it.

Male Hawke has a stupid diplomatic option right after sex: "is it because I'm a man?" --> actual line: "was it... too strange to be with another man?" while female Hawke gets to ask about the markings hurting, but that's about it. Female Hawke also gets the investigate option in Act 2 Questioning Beliefs about Fenris never having had another lover while for some mysterious reason this is unavailable for male Hawke.

I think maybe...don't quote me on this...it is meant to imply Fenris' relations to Danarius (him being a man) and it being mighty awkward because of that...it's pretty heavily implied he was a magister sex toy.
I COULD BE TOTALLY WRONG THOUGH.
