Its worth the restart. Trust me. Anders gets more and more creepy the farther you go with him...I restarted like 20 hours worth of gameplay from the same mistake. I wanted to romance Anders after multiple play through a with Fenris....I just couldn't do it. Anders is a hell-a-no...

 

He's apparently not quite as bad with m!Hawke.  Less of the I'll murder everything to protect you type stuff.

 

you know...... I'm going to redo my last playthrough's save and reject Anders (I'm going to pick "I love Fenris").

 

You get a lovely reaction from Anders if you do that (said with all intended sarcasm ... I wanted to punch him)

Even in Awakening, Anders comes off as a bit of a romantic.  Talks about wanting to retire with a buxom wife and several nubile mistresses, wanting to save damsels in distress, etc.  Much better than the slightly creepy stalker Anders we get in DA2.

 

And now I'm tempted to try using that line, lol.  Sounds like it's even better than the one in Act 3 where he compares Fenris to a wild dog.

I've said this before but if there was an option to make him tranquil i would do it.  No one threatens or makes fun of or wants to hand over my Fenris to Danarius without consequence.

I don't think I would have done it, personally. I do wish you could respond to companion comments though.

He's never in my party for Alone because his 'jelousy' comment is awful and from an rp perspective, theres no way you'd involve someone who clearly dislikes you in something so personal. Its usually some combo of Varric/Aveline/Isabela.

I have yet to bring Anders along for Alone, but by Act 3 he does deserve a serious talking-to.  In fact, personal headcanon has my canon Warden showing up in time to help kick Danarius' butt, then chewing out Anders for (among other things) being even dumber than Jowan.  "You're an apostate, in Kirkwall of all places, you're obviously not in full control of this spirit, AND you just picked on an ex-slave elf who clearly has good reason not to trust mages.  What part of any of this seemed like a good idea?"  Something along those lines, anyway.

Dorian, I think he'd immediately hate/distrust because mage + Tevinter

Vivienne, distrust at first, but then like because she's pro-templar, pro-circle
Iron Bull, I think they'd get along pretty well.
He and Cassandra and Blackwall would be okay.
Not sure how he'd feel about Sera - I go back and forth on that one.
Cole, I don't even know.
And Solas?....

Interesting question, but for those who have played Inquisition, please try to avoid posting plot spoilers for those like myself who haven't played it yet.  (I don't mind knowing who is/isn't going to appear, or minor details about characters, but anything beyond that I'd rather find out for myself.)

Solas: Maybe because Solas seems to be pretty understanding of the fall of the elves and slaves and such. 

Dorian: No, because he's from Tevinter and I feel like if they were forced to work together there would be a lot of resentment from Fenris' side.

Iron Bull: I really don't know enough of his character to really say yes or no, I feel it depends if you make him Tal Vashoth or not.

Sera: I think he would be really annoyed at her at first because she's super jumpy and random and sort of like Merrill, but once he learns about her stance with magic and "big people" vs "little" people they would get along. Of course she would have to get over the fact that he is an elf as well.

Varric: yeah....

Blackwall: I think he might tolerate him at first but once learning about his past and what he has done he would definitely not get along with him.

Cassandra: I think he would respect her a lot and what she has done. It might depend on what you convince her to do with the Seekers that could potentially influence them getting alone.

Cole: I think he would be frightened of Cole at first, but once Cole gets underneath him and starts helping him heal his past I think he could potentially confide in Cole, especially if he becomes more human. 

 

Bonus: 

Leliana: I think he would respect how she works behind the scenes. But it would probably depend on whether she is hardened or not.

Josephine: I think her politeness and overall cuteness would win him over to the nice side.

Cullen: He is pretty much pro Templar same as Cullen, and depends on past interactions with him (siding with mages or not) could also influence their interactions. 

 

 

 

Edit: Also to clear up my past post, the dialogue you get with Anders asking about your relationship with Fenris, Sebastian doesn't say anything in that cutscene...they just argue with each other in regular banter is what I meant to say....

Dorian - I don't think Fenris would want anything to do with him.  But he wouldn't let that keep him out of/away from anything.  If they do have to interact, I imagine it'd be pretty similar to how he responds to Anders and Merrill.  I think the mage thing would probably bother him less than Dorian's thoughts on slavery.

 

I don't think he'd like Cassandra at all.  In a different set of circumstances, I think he'd be OK, but I can easily see him being angry over Hawke getting dragged into their mess.  Ditto for the Inquisitor.

Pretty much everything that comes out of Ander's mouth in DA2 makes me uncomfortable.

 

And I just wanted a video on youtube that if you suggest returning Fenris to Danarius, Anders is all for it. Like, really dude? I know you don't like Fenris, but I didn't realize you were that much of a dick.

Yep, plus corresponding approval. There's also his jeallousy comment after the Varania is a mage thing. He's pretty spiteful either way.
