Idk, he sounded disdainful to me, and he was definitely applying southern Andrastian society' mentality to her worth as a member of the Dalish society. it's not surprising since there is no Dalish clans in Tevinter and I doubt he's had much contact with them on the run. Sabrae clan were probably the first Dalish he met. He has some theoretic knowledge about their lifestyle and behavior, but not in the area of magic, it seems.

That's true, but I still can't help but interpret his tone as being at least somewhat sympathetic at that point, like he understands what it is to be unwanted.  But that's just my interpretation of him in that particular situation.

But he's wanted as property, not as a person.  If not for the lyrium under his skin, Fenris would have been just another slave to Danarius, a piece of property to dispose of as his master saw fit.  I think there's a part of him that recognizes what Merrill is going through at that moment, even if he's mistaken as to why she's going through it and even though he disagrees with her about the use of blood magic.

Fenris/Carver banter is awesome.  They're so much alike and they both try to protect Hawke, yet they get on each other's nerves all the same.  (Probably BECAUSE they're so much alike, lol)

 

Merrill... someone needs to knock some sense into that girl.  Making a deal with a demon to purify the mirror that killed her clanmate?  And using blood magic to do it?  Fenris is right, that's foolish.  Very foolish.

ESTAQ99, that is some seriously gorgeous modding!  I prefer default!Fenris myself (well, of DA2 elves anyway... I would rather they left the elves closer to their Origins look, but that's another matter) but... WOW.

You are right - it is that mod. Got myself light version. I do love his vanilla look (aside from skin and nek in some cut-scenes) but author of the mod is right about inconsistency between his skills\abilities\actions and his appearance.

In my opinion, many modders are real magicians in the art department. I can't believe I played DA2 so many times without any mod. There so many good ones that gives a lot of replayability value.

 

It could be really awesome if Fenris shows up in the next DA game.

You're definitely allowed, and agreed on the replayability value AND on modders being magicians.

 

Also, now I'm tempted to try out that mod.  Even if I love my vanilla Fenris.

Ugh, I'm not fond of mods that change companion's appearance. This one, in particular, makes Fenris look like a crazy vampire bat. And what was the reasoning behind changing his eye color - also didn't match with his abilities?

Lyrium is Titan blood as I understand it. I'm wondering if the veil is dropped and the Titans awaken what would this mean for Fenris? Would he become a Titan minion? I also wonder now if Fenris has a sort of stone sense or if he hears the song. Gaider is writing him in his new book isn't he? I wonder if he will address any of this? I remember him saying that without Danarius to maintain the markings they could prove to be volatile. I also wonder if someone like Solas would be able to remove them. He must have tons of knowledge concerning lyrium. I just wonder if he has the ability to manipulate in a way that is usually on attributed to dwarves. Just a thought.

Well, he can sense when the Veil is thin, so his lyrium somehow reacts to the Fade manifestations. Can't say anything about other possibilities, but there are plenty of theories on the internet.

I imagine it would be... taciturn.

I would love to hear a conversation between Fenris and Bull, though. They both have these horrific memories of Seheron... Fenris speaks Qunlat and is potentially the lover of the person who killed the last Arishok... they hate slavers and are suspicious of magic and demons! It works.

Ah that'd be a war! I still don't get Solas' character completely, to me he's cunning and a bit of a con artist. Why do you want them together? Haha they're like fire water

I can only watch Trespasser online, i don't have the new platforms. But not sad, as I'm more attached to the previous characters.
Eh, anyone who's more of a warrior type like Cullen and Cass would be more compatible as friendlies to Fenris, yup Bull too In my AU world, Fenris is quite alright with Cullen and the kirkwall group after the mage templar war, coz i hadn't done Inqui yet then. *to Aldien, yea i'm quite new here too! I have great respect for anyone that succeeds at getting either 100% friendship or rivalry with Fenris.

In the beginning, I was determined to rival him. Took the guy with me on every mage quest.

Then the Bitter Pill quest came later on and bumped the bar all the way to friendship. So I figured "Okay then. Might as well stick to this path now".

And today I got +15 rivalry for sparing his sister in " Alone".

Damn. Fenris really was made for neutral zone.

Can't say I've ever had any trouble rivaling him. Friendship's harder for me to gain because I feel like I have to metagame waaaaay more, but I digress. What did you say/do that caused the friendship bump in A Bitter Pill?
