So, Gomez. Would you tell me why you like M!Hawke x Fenris even more than F!Hawke x Fenris? I have been considering taking that route in my next run.
It's not that I like the pairing more - I just find myself playing more male Hawkes, so it ends up that way. I think he's great with either.
But there are some contrasts I really enjoy. Like, Hawke has the potential to be Danarius 2.0, especially if you're playing a bearded mage. But there's so much emphasis on how different they are, despite those superficial qualities. Hawke treats Fenris as his equal in friendship or rivalry. He kicks slaver butt and doesn't consider himself above other people because he has magic (or magic in his family). He supports Fenris through Hadriana and Varania and Danarius. But this is all applicable to femHawke as well, if you compare her to Hadriana.
I also like how they look together, Fenris being this spindly dude who's actually super tough, coupled with a fuzzy bear of a man who's a total sap. Their animations look good. And I'm a sucker for Nick Boulton's snarky voice.

I think Gaider said he wrote Fenris with male Hawke in mind at first. Despite Dorian being his first "legitimately" gay character.
But I could see the Danarius thing being transferred to that other chick too..his underling. Forgot her name.

Yeah, that's her.
I play a default femHawke too.. so it was kinda funny how she resembled her a little.

Actually the this I did not know, but the fact that Hawke x Fenris are hot, and good written.
Just that the diplomatic answer after the first night... that is idiot! (Hawke: "The problem is that I'm a man?" Fenris: "Yeah, of course I was so drunk that I did not realize before they went to bed with you" ... bah ...
) (I choose the direct reaction, much better...)

^ What does male Hawke say for the direct response? I'm always afraid to choose those in certain situations because I don't want to sound angry or anything along those lines. I also did not like the "Is it because I'm a man?" line and thought it seemed quite awkward. To be honest, I'd think that issue would be more likely to come up before you get started, or even as hesitation while things are getting going, but not as likely afterward, particularly if both parties clearly enjoyed it.

It does not finish the romance, but it is not as illogical as the diplomatic answer, and not as stupid joke as sarcastic.

The man option made no sense given their previous interactions - and Fenris makes it clear that it's not that - but I guess diplo Hawke could've had a bad experience in the past that led him to the conclusion that his gender was the problem..? Or he was extrapolating based on what he knew of Fenris's past? It was weird. I just ignore that option.

Yep.

^ I liked the dick joke.
But I played Hawke as someone who wasn't always, uh, aware of the mood and who really thought things were going well for him and Fenris so didn't think twice about joking around... until it became apparent that something was wrong.

Yep.
Perhaps... but i think in this atmosphere most appropriate choose the direct answer.
And do not forget. Fenris and Hawke known each other for some time: ~1-2 years ago. Hawke has long been flirting with Fenris, and this Fenris visibly pleased. Fenris biggest problem with their relationship that he escaped slave who illegally live in a rundown villa. The conversations often refers to he is aware that Hawke's gender. Fenris also say that he is love men, like Hawke. (He even accepts that Hawke [possibly] mage. In fact, this argument [Hawke is an apostate] is convincing him, that he do not have to worry about his own position in the relationship.) After the first night he also made it clear that he felt good ... The bottom line is that: never once raised the question: Fenris able fall in love with a man – and he would like to have sexual intercourse with him –, or not. Therefore I still think that the diplomatic answer is illogical and unnecessary.
.
Maybe, that seems too simple, but, maybe i'm too simple...
(I hope I was not too rough...)

It just occurred to me... what would happen if Fenris were in your party during The Descent?
Would he be affected by the titan's call?
Interesting question... Theoretically, he can hear the call, i think.

Oh, that is VERY cute! (And it's the first image of Fenris with long hair that I've really liked.) I would love to hear her say she wants to experiment with pieces of him... lol, I'm sure he'd be thriiiilled.

I wondered about that, too. And about what his reaction to red lyrium would be. I'm imagining, you know, horrible pain and insanity, so it's probably good that Hawke didn't drag him along to Skyhold.
Ohh, by the way.

Yeah, I felt like the issue of "is it because I'm a man?" was something that should have been addressed during act 2 QB, when Fenris is discussing his feelings for Hawke, rather than after they've slept together.
