I love David Wenham, too!

How about Peter Wingfield? (Methos from the Highlander series). He has a lovely voice. And he's Welsh. Maybe Meg retained his old accent.

But he's not Dalish. :crying:

Or have all elves been Welsh'd?

I think it's only the Dalish elves, but my thought was that the Dalish elves were originally Arlathan elves, and the Welsh accent is what the Arlathan elves originally sound like... And the Dalish just retained their ancestor's accent.

That wouldnt make sense since Dalish were once City elves too after the Exhalted march until they escaped and reclaimed they're ancestory.

The only way it could work would be if the escaped ones forced the accent until the later generations had it natural. Which would just be funny.

Lulz. All the theories being brought up (vascular system or slave for example) were brought up in the old thread but ignored, I find it funny how with a name everybody is crazy speculation mode. :P

Well, for me, it's either speculate about anything having to do with Meg, or speculate that I'm pregnant. And the latter is driving me nuts right now because I can't take a test for a few more days. So Meg is helping me keep my mind off it.

Well, the Dalish got an accent from somewhere. I'm just thinking that Meg got an accent from the same place, possibly.

What's "up the duff"? It would be wonderful if I was preggo, my husband and I have been trying for two years. :)

And ooooh, Cillian Murphy! I really like his voice.

I'm betting he'll have his slaver's accent. Though I'm not sure what that is, exactly.

It's what people usually say when you are pregnant here.

Fenris' cheekbones resemble his. Which is like a +9000 on my fangirl meter.
Holy crap and a half I need to get someone to design a car based on those cheekbones. Or maybe a kitchen appliance.

Do not jest about such things!
I just jested.

I'd much rather a Brit/Irish/Scot/Welsh VA for our cute fluffy Fenris. Like any of the LoTR actors mentioned. Or Cillian Murphy.

If anyone is interested in hearing Cilian's voice, here he is in a nice interview where it is only him talking, not some annoying interviewer doing all the talking.

Oh, wow. Cillian's swoon material. He's someone I could listen to all day.

I wouldn't mind Tom Hardy voicing Fenris, if it came down to it.

There are just so many amazing actors that I can totally picture voicing MEG.

I look at Fenris' concept art and for some reason 'Viggo Mortensen' pops into into my head as a voice actor. He'd be way too expensive to hire, though.

I approve.

Also, I know it's been stated before that certain DA characters are influenced by Buffy to a degree (i.e. Alistair shares characteristics with Xander).  When I look at Fenris, for some reason I think of is Spike, and by extension James Marsters.  Probably won't happen, but I still like the idea.

I'm speculating because we have some backstory to work with now, not because he has a name. :P Heck, I brought up lyrium to explain his brands and THAT was ignored because lyrium is 'too dangerous'. Who's laughing now? ^_^

Wasn't Zev partly Spike inspired?

Fenris is totally Jonathan. Or Andrew. :B

Whenever I think of Spike (Or Marsters) I think of two things:

1: The Piccolo that should've never been.

2: That psychotic Spike Fangirl who's had hundreds of conversations with herself on the buffy forums.

I have no idea about Zevran.  He never seemed to fit the Spike mold to me, but that's just a personal opinion.
