No, I don't think I was the first to notice this similarity with Wolverines background...or that the his looks brings Geralt of Rivia in mind... and I doub't I'll be the last. I just popped in to check on new announcement regarding DA2.

Sure I realize it's next to impossible to create completely original fantasy character nowadays. Please.

Btw, in the movie, bullet wiped Wolvies memory. In the comics however...

Nice dialogue Dr.Dr. I could see how Fen would be the one to "understand" Seb's whole "revenge on the one who pained me".

Anyhow, I reserve my further judgement about Fenris. Until I see more... who knows, I might be pleasantly surprised even. But if he turns out to be as I feared (not just a Wolverine ripoff) I will chop off his pretty boy head in a heartbeat if it is an option like in Zev's case. Just that I don't have to endure his character for the remainder of the story.

I can see your point of view though. But how many times have you seen a hero have to rise up to save something?
People will continue to associate Fen with other characters for the base inspiration is a fairly popular one. Someone gets permanently scarred by someone else, that person uses their experience to get away, and plots revenge on the party that affected them. Whew.

Anyways, what colour does Fen wear? ._. In his concept he is all green and blue, but in the actual released screenies he wears brown. It appears his button up front outfit is green and his plate armor is brown. Did he have a character design change or does he have like a casual or something? .-.

He looks good in green personally, it contrasts really nice with his skin tone. Also what is this notion again that he's pretty? He's not lol, sure he's attractive but he doesn't really have the qualifications to be called a pretty boy seeing as he actually has a weathered face. Like Jualen said people are to caught up in his Herbal Essence hair, Sebastian is more of a "pretty boy" than Fenris is truthfully

Quite funny (particularly the Carver "I heard that!").  I can't remember where I heard it, but if I remember correctly, the Devs have outright stated that there are no half-elves in the DA Universe.  In a human-elf coupling, child will always be Human...I think there is a chance of a half-dwarf, but it's very very very small (hell a pregnancy would be a small possibility because of dwarves issues with fertility)

You know.... in DA:O I really didn't like Oghren. I talked to him, we bonded as much as two drunk people can bond....I still didn't care for him. I didn't dislike him, I could just leave him to the darkspawn and say "oops" without much thought ( much ). But then yesterday I finally opened up Awakening. My character was so happy to see him, despite my opinion.



My point: sometimes our own opinions are "mental" and our first reaction based on something other than just logic.



Who knows what we will think when actually presented with new characters. I really hope to keep an open mind, despite pre-emptive likes or dislikes ( yep, we all have 'em!)

Well no obviously not enough to make him grizzled but I think he has too much weathering to be a pretty boy either is all I'm saying. If he didn't have the snow white "anime" hair I highly doubt anyone would be calling him pretty. But yeah ok if he's pretty to you...then that's what he is.

Actually, I don’t care what hair color he has. I think he would look fine no matter what color his hair was. I find his back-story and the brands on his body far more interesting than the way he looks anyways. (Not that he isn’t attractive) He isn’t what I would call a pretty boy either

The original MEG thread was 154 pages. With the combination of that and our 240, technically, Fenris has 394 pages.

Dunno how many the old Varric thread had.

I'm bracing myself for the day Fenris' trailer (or something) comes out. We've seen how fast the thread moves with just some pics and a paragraph of info - can you imagine what it'll be like when we get gameplay footage and hear his VA? XD
