I have been away for awhile and need some catch up any new info on this fenris fellow is he a romance? a warrior?

You know, part of me doesn't know why the devs withhold VA information. It doesn't really give that much away (other then what they sound like, of course) does it?

His character page is here, that should tell you his background. He's a two-handed warrior by the looks of it.

And, quite obviously, the general hope around here is that he's a romance. It hasn't been confirmed, though.

I wonder about that, too. The only thing I can think of is maybe it keeps pressure from fans off of those actors, who may not be as tight-lipped as BioWare employees? But that seems pretty weak. I'm sure an NDA would be enough to satisfy those concerns.

Mmkay, can we just stop manufacturing rivalries between this thread and the others? It's completely ridiculous. And we know more about Varric because he's been announced for months, not because of imagined dev favoritism.

Seriously things like this are why I said I prefer the Varric thread's atmosphere.

I like Varric. I like Fen. I like Sebastian, and all the other characters we know about. I don't feel I'm on any side of a fandom war and I'd like to post in any or all of their threads but drama completely turns me off.

EDIT: I think what we need is a very convincing reason for BioWare to release the info we desire for Fenris. They managed to let devs to release the info about Basti because they told devs that might make fans want to buy the signature edition more. They bought it. And here we had Basti.

So what can be a good reason for BioWare to release more Fenris info?

Actually, that seems a bit valid. I mean, I can think of quite a few reveals that seem to come from fans pestering actors, almost always unintentional. For all we know, we weren't supposed to find out Steve Valentine was doing voice over work for Alistair in DAII--the devs hadn't confirmed his appearance, after all.

It was a trailer, so I imagine we didn't convince them. In fact, it seemed like Mike Laidlaw was just hinting that they were planning on doing so, not that they have decided to.
