How many hours do you guys think it'll be, starting from 12am March 8, before the first person here beats the game and reports back to the thread to squeal comment on their Fenris Experience?

And how many of you guys only plan on discussing Fenris once you've finished your first playthrough? I think most of us will to avoid spoilers Posted Image...
But I imagine there might be a few who will take breaks from playing in order to stop by and "OMG/Squee!" over something that just happened in their game involving Fenris.

[delurking]
I don't really mind spoilers unless they spoil the ending or major story points. Once the ending gets spoiled for me, I tend to lose interest in playing. But, I don't mind character spoilers. I delayed in getting DAO just to find out a few things from the forums. ;) Such as the bit where Alistair dumps your PC if you make him an unhardened King or have low persuasion. Hohoho, I avoided that.

For Fenris and a few others, I will be lurking around for information that may effect gameplay. :bandit:

I wish i had read that thing with Alistair before i've done the mistake xD But all was not lost!

I guess i won't be here a week b4 release either. I will go through one playthrough then check to see if i missed any dialogue or something. Or i may stop and come to look for clues (i couldn't find Justice's wife for example).

Well, last time, some people here took immense offense to it. But since Gaider laid down the law, I was wondering. Also, that was a joke within itself.

Oh? I don't remember that. I guess I have conflict goggles - I didn't even know there were hard feelings around this thread until a day or two ago. Ah, well, bygones be bygones and all that.

Also, I know. ;) Fenris liked it too.

I'm happy we're back to being nice to each other.
I will also not be on here about a week before the game comes out. I also wont be on here until I finish my first playthrough.

Same as me. A lot of DAO was spoiled for me and I'm not making that misstake with DA2.

Waiting the extra few days for the game to be released in Europe will the tough though.

Ser Gaider, Great Poobah, God, etc., I have a question that I don't think would be too spoilerific: if there was a cat stuck in a tree, would Fenris attempt to help it out?

lmao I'm not Gaider but I think he would. Fenris strikes me as the type to be a friend to all the woodland creatures XD

Fenris: Come on down kitty I know how it is to be stuck somewhere you don't wanna be...

If Fenris is confirmed as a love interested I'm kind of worried about screwing up my romance like I did with the first playthrough with Alistair.  I didn't read any spoilers and was soooo sad when he dumped me :(.  Right now my biggest concern is how being a blood mage would effect the relationship, even if you just wanted to be friends.  I really want to play a bloodmage my first time through, but I don't want him to ragequit on me.

 Maybe he'll be a metal hugger instead, since Bioware's already busted the dwarves-use-axes/elves-are-archers stereotype.

Fenris: "Ahhh, pretty, shiny sword *snuggle snuggle*"

Hawke: O.o

I'm not exactly sure if you are serious, or trying to be funny. He probably considers the woodland creatures more friends than foe compared to the Magister. And he might help the cat, as he was once stuck as a slave, and cannot bear to see the cat stuck itself. No more treehugger talk, lest you wish me to huddle into fedal postion in the corner, whispering to myself that the nightmares of Elanee are returning.
EDIT: I am quite sure you are trying to be funny, as the smiley usually indicates such:D

I was kidding... well, mostly anyway. Let's just leave it at that. Posted Image

I don't know... if he managed to free himself from his bondage, he may have a social darwinist outlook, expecting others to earn their own freedom like he did.

Edit: Hanharr from KotOR2 is a good example of this attitude, IIRC (I haven't played that game in a long time).

I wish i had read that thing with Alistair before i've done the mistake xD But all was not lost!

The forum is also how I learned that a female human noble could be married to Alistair and be queen. I hopped on the quickly. Before that, I was intent on making my first playthrough as a Dalish elf. >xD

if there was a cat stuck in a tree, would Fenris attempt to help it out?]

Not sure if my assessment is anywhere accurate to Fen's actual personality, I kinda see him as the strong silent type. Almost like Sten. He prefers not to openly show how 'nice' he can be and if he chooses to, will do it without words or much of an explanation until coerced by Hawke or another party member.

Hawke: I saw you help that little kitten back there.
Fenris: Yes, do you have a problem with that?
Hawke: No, no, of course not. I just thought that nice of you. I didn't think you would bother.
Fenris: ... and why not?
Hawke: Not to offend, but you're just a bit... 'standoffish'. I never pegged that you had a soft side.
Fenris: 'A soft side'? Just because I prefer silence and a bit of seclusion does not mean I do not have a conscious. The few memories I do recall, I remember days where I wished for help and no one offered... no one even batted an eyelash at my direction because of what I was... or am. A small creature, such as that cat, was in need. Do you expect me to turn a blind eye and ignore it, such as I had been?
Hawke: ... Well, when you put it that way...
Fenris: There is no way to put it. There is no other way to say it. It needed help... so I helped it.
Hawke: ...
Fenris: Why do you look so surprised?
Hawke: That's the most you've ever said to me... or revealed about your past.  *smiles faintly*
Fenris: *sighs and leaves*

Orrrr... I could be wrong.

That's one of my concerns as well. I plan to play as a mage first. IF Fenris is a LI, I'd be saddened if our specializations majorly effects whether or not we can romance him. Then I'd have to restart and switch to rogue. lol Then again, if he's not an LI, I'd still like to know if he has a problem with Mage!Hawke.

@Steam: Yeah when Gaider came in, it was the equalivent of all the kids hollering and yelling while the teacher was away then the teacher came back in and said settle down and we went back to using our inside voices.
