In all honesty different hair colours would look better on him if it was shown in a picture that was done correctly or even drawn. I didn't want to edit someone's drawing though.

A few people may have mentioned it possibly but maybe he had white hair to begin with. Like (I know this example has been said) some of the dalish.

I assumed he had black hair because of his black eyebrows. That's how I drew him for my contribution to the prompt. I'm just not seeing white as his natural color unless he's older than we think he is.

I'm going to intervene.

First off, nobody owns this thread. This is not a place to hang out, and treat others who come here as if they are visitors. You are all visitors, and attempting to control the discussion is just going to get you into trouble.

If someone wants to talk about Fenris, then they may do so. If someone wants to complain about him, then they may do so. If someone wants to squee and post fan art, then they may do so. In all three cases all we ask is that you remain civil to each other.

If the venom that's persisted over the last few pages continues, I'll lock the thread down. If you feel you cannot participate without keeping a civil tongue, even with those you disagree, then I suggest you remove yourself voluntarily.

Thanks.

Yes, sir! Perfectly clear, sir!

I've had this sitting around for a while. My vote is lyrium bleach, and formerly dark/black hair because it looks awesome.

I hope it doesn't change back in some horrible disney/anime transformation sequence though. I hope he doesn't get his memories back either. It would be more interesting for him to have to restart his life from square one. Much darker, too. "Congrats, your memories begin at horrible torture, and also, there's no way to get back what you had before or remove the physical reminders of said horrible torture!"

@Pseudo: Love the pic! I adore the tattoos. (Links back to his concept art very nicely.) That is a similar colour to what I was thinking of ^^ The dark, almost black brown with a tint of warmth to it.

@BPearl: I also noticed the eyebrows, but then again there are people with dark eyebrows and light hair. I'm guessing that you are right though.

Yeah the combination of solid tattoos and glowing tattoos was nice. He also had stubble though so that shows us how reliable concept art is in terms of final appearance ;)

It does look pretty awesome there. But I like the white too. I do wonder if it's natural or no.

It would be nice if we could address him in game about it. If not then it would be nice if David gave us a little info. But who knows with elves how their hair/eyebrows work and whether Lyrium can bleach.

He seems like a swell bud in your art. The type of guy you call when you need help building your garden-shed. Very relaxed and normal.

Oh wow. The black hair does look really good. Great job as always Pseudo :D

I dont really want him to get his memories back either. A part of me thinks it would be cool to see what his life was like before the lyrium, but I like the idea of it being a mystery.

the lyrium burns are painful right?

there should be an option to kiss it(them?) and make it feel better. ;)

All for it raise your hand and say 'aye'!

Thank you :D

I think that would be a really interesting crossroads. Be at peace with having to start over and continue as though the past never happened, or spend his time trying to sort out what his life was before the unspeakable torture. The former seems like the more "stoic" reaction, but then the question might be, is he only acting like it's no big deal, or is he actually okay with being at square one?

Decent, normal guy going through tough times is a lot more woobietastic, methinks :)

I think maybe he became stoic only after the lyrium branding. That's just my opinion though.

lmao wow I was not expecting this, I run to get a slurpee and I return to awesome hair colors. So yeah he looks better  with darker hair, though I like the blonde too, so I guess that's why his default white hair works so well. Really brings out those eyes.

I'm a follower of that theory myself. After
encountering the Magister's hubris and witenessing the cruelty of his
old master I would think that it would enamor Fenris to the Stoic
philosophy.

BTW, I consider "Stoic" to fall under the
traditional Greek school of thought rather than the more modern
definition of the word. This philosophy of Stoicism focuses on the removal of self-destructive emotions such as anger, envy, and jealousy along with the concept that all living beings capable of thought are equal.

Considering that Fenris was turned into a living weapon at the hands of the magister I think that Stoicism would appeal to him as a viable way to move away from what his master intended him to be. I am willing to bet that at first Fen will appear to be cold, calculating, and almost detached from the rest of the party. In my head Fenris actually cares quite a bit for the party members, they're like an improptu family to him and he'll stand by them no matter what.

@ Dr. Doctor, yes, the Greek Stoicism is what I had in mind too.

I like Loghain too, especially after reading The Stolen Throne :'(
