Aveline: So what do we do next now that Hawke's been captured?
Fenris: (stands up and slams fists on table) I have an idea....Ser Gaider! I can talk!

Hehehe...I just thought of a continuation of my previous mageFemHawke/Fenris idea
Fenris slams his fist on the table, expression unreadable as Aveline watches on in concern.
Aveline: I am sorry Fenris, there is really nothing I can do. If you wish me to speak with Hawke-
Fenris: No...that will not help the situation any.
Aveline: Are you sure?
Fenris glances back into the shadows, spotting the ever grinning Hawke, her wrists engulfed in flames as she winks coyly at the brooding elf.
Fenris: *sighs* Yes, I am quite sure.
I wonder if Fenris could tie a knot in a cherry stem with his tongue? (I know I can...)
LOL
I think he'd tie up his own tongue in the process.

K, here it is my interpretation of Fenris' lyrium branding, I was talking about such and such pages ago. (with his speculated black hair) I'll keep it short...I was gonna go...lower but had to cut that out for obvious reasons, also I figured that this particlar type of branding involves burning the blood thus the red glowy veins you see there. Enjoy ladies. <3

If I don't dream of shiny elves tonight, it'll be a miracle.
@ Margaret
I failed at saying that. Epically.

(if you can name the movie that was from, you win a plate of non fattening, virtual cookies.)
I think I kind of like that idea, him being a knight in glowing skin and feathery armor.
Is that from Ravenous?

ROFL!
I can barely say it one time slow, let alone five times fast.
That's my new mantra. "

And it is very sad. It really is. But I really have an affinity for dark, sad bits of stories. And art.

Just wondering, do you guys think Fenris will have come to terms with what
happened to him by the time Hawke meets him? Or do you think it could
be like with Aerie in BGII, where he hasn't found closure yet and you
help him deal with it and overcome all the bad memories?

It wouldn't surprise me by the time you meet him he doesn't remember the actual branding, it'll probably come back to him in snippets and stuff..at least that's what I'm hoping for

Either way, I'd put money on the fact that in some way Hawke is going to have to help Fen get past some of these issues involving his time as a slave and escaping his former master, possibly killing him/her.
Edit: ahhh, trickybunny beat me to it. How...tricky

I think he may simply be relieved at first that he's free (to a degree) then at some point deeper into your friendship he will disclose his thoughts on it with you in-depth. Just a guess. He may not wish to think about his experiences at all, and simply ask you to leave it behind, or an encounter with the magister may force the memories back into focus.
(I think I'm gonna head off to saw logs, y'all. Sweet, DA2-filled dreams to everyone else!
