I don't know why I got a such a specific scenario out of that.
Actually, what you'll find when you go to speak to your companions in their homes that they're sometimes engaged in other things... occasionally you'll find them in mid-conversation with your other companions, who are visiting them also. One of the advantages to knowing exactly where conversations are going to occur is being able to stage them in interesting ways.

Oooooooh! Oh, really?
Also, it's neat to know that they have relationships with each other outside of Hawke. How...quaint? Well, novel, at the very least.

So Tricky doesn't think Aveline is pretty. Some of us here aren't sold on Fenris being attractive. Others don't like Varric. Or think Merrill is too young. It's okay. I've made detracting comments about characters before and it's never been really mean spirited. But then again, my sense of humor sometimes tends toward the darker and not always appropriate/appreciated. And sarcasm. Lots of that.

Oooooooh! Oh, really? Some people might not have liked them, but I loved the companion conflicts from ME2. I'm really glad to see them done DAII style, now. Are they similar in execution--a make-it-or-break-it move? If there's anything off-putting about them in ME2, they required a high C/I score. Will there be other variables factoring in?
Also, it's neat to know that they have relationships with each other outside of Hawke. How...quaint? Well, novel, at the very least.

This sounds intriguing. Let's hope it's not just companions not getting along (the only ME2 ones I really recall are the Tali/Legion and Miranda/Jack fights), but that there's more... positive interaction between companions too. Just hanging out together, gossiping about Hawke and omg did you know he and... that type of stuff.

idk. I mean, I didn't find it all that offensive. Saying a random character isn't pretty really isn't that big of a deal. But then again, I'm used to that sort of thing from the FF fandom and the rabid animosity between the CloudxTifa and the CloudxAerith fans. Blah blah, ugly, blah blah, boobs, blah blah, clothes.

God don't even go there with Cleris vs Cloti some of the most inane rabid wars ever. lol
I'm glad you could see it for what it was Maera I wasn't aware that if I said the chick was ugly I'd have like 5 people getting on my case about it, it's really not that serious. I'm sure Fenris has been called all sorts of names but I'm not seeking out threads to defend him, it's their opinion who cares?

I'm loving it, can't wait to see this extra layer of depth added to the companions. The ME3 team should take note, one of the weakness in ME2 was inter-party relationships (aside from those two conflicts that the player gets to resolve, of course). Bring the companions to life and the whole world starts to feel a bit more real and immersive. Looking forward to the experience
Can it be March now?

*starry eyes* Oh, the possibilities!
This statement has just upped my anticipation of the game to the point that I may just explode if it is delayed.
