Same. I can see some things in the background, but it's hard to tell what they are. They look like headless mannequins wearing skirts, to me.

I think they're earthenware jugs, like big wine jugs or something.

So you want to have Teal'c time with Fenris?

This was the first thing I thought. Fact.

Second thing: man, either their Lady Hawke or Fenris is really kinky.

ENHANCE!

Anyhow, it's a rather large room--perhaps Aveline's city guard location?

Wait wasn't Hawke wearing armor similar to Aveline's in another screenshot?

Hmmm. Could be. I don't think it looks like Fen's house. I mean not like I know anything about Fen and his decor preferences but whatever, it's a gut feeling so I'ma roll with it.

I don't think it is either--and that's assuming he even has a house. I highly doubt he owns any property in Kirkwall (or Merrill for that matter). Which really makes me wonder where he lives.

I think it's the falcon/eagle symbol of Kirkwall. Or the noble family. But they repurposed the griffin slightly.

That's really cool about the companions interacting on their own.

For some reason I've been picturing him in a crappy little basement apartment in a bad part of town, some place he could just ditch if a particular foreign dignitary comes a-knocking.

Wow, i am glad i've made the gif! ^^ We noticed more things...like that sexy hip movement (i am sure the devs facepalmed when they heard us talking about this xD). And i just can't help but stare at it each time i come across it.

Ooo-hoo! Ser Gaider intervened! I am eager to see how the companions interact.

A thing i noticed is that they left out the voice of 2 important characters, those who have special VA chosen by David Gaider himself. I wonder if the VA is that big...makes me curious.

Who's the other we haven't heard?

And I've been wondering if Fenris' 2-3 seconds, he said something important. I don't know how anyone could say anything majorly important in 2-3 seconds, but it's always a possiblity.

Holy Jellyfish, your dev meeting snippets made me laugh so hard!  I guess it's like Ser Gaider is Persephone. He has to stock up on extra tears to make it through the long months of ear-piercing squees... ;) And speak of the devil...

That is awesome. I kinda wished the companions would talk more in Origins; you get to see different sides to people that way. :)

I'm getting *SLAM* "It has to be."

*stares a while longer* Yeah, I was convinced for a while it was "You heard me", but now I think there's this little trip of the lip that means an extra syllable... anybody else have more ideas?
Saibh wrote...

I totally think that's what it is, too. My instincts say he's not the type to get mad at Aveline specifically; I just have a feeling they'll get along well, being warriors of an unconventional sort (him an elf, her a woman) and both a bit on the stoic side, probably both with fairly similar senses of humor. I just get that feeling about them. I guess because they both have things to brood about.

Then again, it's just as possible their brooding styles will clash, or perhaps her sense of law and his hatred of oppression.

Please do! I am a sucker for puppies and their big brown melty chocolate eyes of pleading that make me forget all about the cruelties of life. I've got exams right now so I'm especially sensitive to those...
dirtsa90 wrote...

Another
topic, I thought your theories about the different types of romances
was very interesting, it would also make sense in-game since, on the
rivalry path, Hawke and the companion will have a final confrontation in
the end which either will result in coming to an understanding (the two
people reach harmony with each other) or end of possible
companionship/romance if failed (still not in balance or in harmony with
each other).
I really love your posts in general, they are always very interesting to read. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png
About Fenkira--I know, right? *lol* I had to smack myself for that one!

And for the rest--I totally love the idea of that! I'm so happy they went this route instead of the route they usually go; it's nice to see romances evolving like this. And thank you for the compliment. It's totally the people here that inspire me, though! Everyone in this thread is awesome, seriously. It's like a haven of awesomeness that shelters us from the pelting rain of haters outside. ;)

I had the same thought, but then I realized that it didn't make sense because they were armed. Take someone as a slave, and you're not going to leave them their weapons. I think those people were refugees who paid for their passage.

THIS!!! I love this.  For some reason, this makes me very happy!   Adds many possibilities and a dash of things being less "static" than the camp in Origins.  Thanks for this!

I love this, it's one of the things that I missed in Origins. Beside the party banter there was no interaction between party members (except for Fort Dracon part) and that always seemed strange to me.

And I hope Gaider can find this post next time he is online (I'm pretty sure it will be be buried under a great pile of other posts), I was wondering about something.
You once said that Alistair was your favorite NPC, so my question is, is he still your favorite or do you have a new one now that the DA2-characters are finished? And if you had to make a list of favorite NPC's, what number would Fenris be?

Merrill. If i remember corectly, Ser Gaider said that until now 3 characters got the VA he was hoping for. One was Arl Howe, one is Fenris and the other one was a "not yet revealed female char" which happens to be Merrill.

Since Arl Howe got Tim Curry, which is grande, i am really wondering who the VA for Fenris and Merrill are.

Ooooo, me likey.

I think I'm going to be obsessively visiting all the companions' homes every chance I get hoping to find a new conversation cutscene. I wonder if we'll have to break up fights like in ME2.
(yes I constantly went back and forth over those conversation trigger spots in Origins and Awakening, exhausting every last one of those companion banters)

I'm so incredibly excited for this! This is so interesting and I know it's going to add so much more to the game! I loved all the interaction you had with your companions in ME2 and it's seeming that DA2 is heading in that direction so that you have more interaction with your party members and between your party members. It'll be so interesting to see what goes on. I <3 It!

Fenris' house will now be forever known as the Fencave to me now.

So, if party members can be visiting with eachother things like this could happen:

Aveline: So we're still on for poker night at Hawke's tonight?

Fenris:
Yeah, I heard that Varric was going to grab the snacks before coming over.

Aveline: I thought you were picked to bring the food last week?

Fenris:
(slams fists on table) Oh come on why is it always me who brings the food? Remember what happened last time?

(Hawke and the rest of the party are sitting around a table playing cards)

Varric: Did you hear that the Viscount had that bakery on the corner shut down? (takes a sip of ale)

Hawke: I did, apparently the owner spent her days making poisions. And cake. Speaking of which this is really good cake Fenris.

Fenris:
(with a nervous expression on his face) Oh Maker.
