I now wish I could draw. I can't stop seeing M!Hawke, Varric, and Fenris with the stupid poker hats and cigarettes...

Fenris' house will now be forever known as the Fencave to me now.
So, if party members can be visiting with eachother things like this could happen:
Aveline: So we're still on for poker night at Hawke's tonight?
Fenris: Yeah, I heard that Varric was going to grab the snacks before coming over.
Aveline: I thought you were picked to bring the food last week?
Fenris: (slams fists on table) Oh come on why is it always me who brings the food? Remember what happened last time?
(Hawke and the rest of the party are sitting around a table playing cards)
Varric: Did you hear that the Viscount had that bakery on the corner shut down? (takes a sip of ale)
Hawke: I did, apparently the owner spent her days making poisions. And cake. Speaking of which this is really good cake Fenris.
Fenris: (with a nervous expression on his face) Oh Maker.
The image is just too funny:O

Maybe one of the Thursday prompts should be coming up with unique captions for Fenris' table slam-shuffle. XD Or comics/cartoons for that particular scene.Dr. Doctor wrote...

I really got a good giggle imagining that Fenris was really complaining about always having to bring the food to Aveline.

Dog only appears during battles and disappears after the fight.buggirl wrote...
I was just over the announcement board and saw that we will get a Mabari Hound. I really enjoyed the interaction between the companions and Dog (I always thought in my US play-through that Stan would adopt him). I am wondering if there will be something similar in DA2 and what Fenris reaction would be.
The only interactions should take place at Hawke's house, but I'm not sure if dog will even be there to be honest. I hope he will be, I liked the 'camp talk' companions had with dog.
And same here, in my US playthrough I always pretended Sten took Dog with him. xD

The site flat-out states that the dog will be at the house. Or I would at least say that "beloved pet at home" would mean that it will be there.

Yes, this is what I meant. It seems similar to the Extra Slot Dog Mod (which I used in my last few games) and that works for me because as much as I loved Dog I hated missing out on the Companions banter.

Meanwhile back in Ferelden:
Warden: There you are Rabbit, I thought that you'd gotten lost boy.
Rabbit: (happily barks with something in his mouth)
Warden: What have you got here boy? A pair of fuzzy nug slippers? Where in Thedas did you get those from?
Rabbit: (Happy bark)
Meanwhile back in Kirkwall
Fenris: (stretches, gets out of bed, and notices that his slippers are gone) *Sigh* (Fenris crawls back into bed)

January is half-way through, February is a shorter month, and the first week of March does not really count... <sigh> trying to look at the brighter side but patience is never been one of my good traits.

Oh, nothing big and earth shattering, just the latest thing he posted in this thread. Still pretty awesome in my opinion.

I'm not good with patience either. But I'm convinced that waiting for the game now is cake compared to March 8, seeing as I live in Europe. Waiting the few extra days for ME2 was painful and the game is out by that point so visiting the forums is a big no.

Virtues - Temperance

He was starting to get used to it. His eyes didn’t narrow as much as before and his fingernails stopped leaving moon shaped marks whenever he clenched his fists. His heart didn’t pound quite as loudly and no blood boiled in his lyrium flooded veins, no barely contained anger heated his face.
Yes, he was starting to get used to it. Getting the calm mask back on his face wasn’t as hard as a week or two ago.
The sound of laugher drifted through the night’s air and he couldn’t help but turn his seemingly disinterested eyes to the left, where it came from.
At the beginning of it all, he used to find it annoying. Bah! Infuriating even! It was loud and far from what one would consider a melody to his ears. On top of that, when it started, it was hard to make it stop.
Overtime, as unwilling as he was to admit, he started to view it as a part of his life – something that followed him wherever they all went. He couldn’t deny that the corner of his lips lifted once or twice when hearing it. Imagining that it would not be there tomorrow made something weight on the bottom of his stomach. Uneasiness? It would seem so.
Hawke – that’s what they all called her.
Calling her beautiful would probably be too much, but as far as humans go, he guessed calling her attractive wouldn’t be that far from truth. It wasn’t her looks that he came to find so appalling, though. It was her determination. Her loyalty. The way she looked danger straight into eyes, a challenging smile on her face. The way she proved him wrong.
His lips pressed into a thin line as his eyes swept over the scene. She was sitting on the ground, one of her legs bent, her elbow on its knee. There was that grin of her – the wide, cheeky, almost childish one.
But she was not sitting alone. The dwarf kept her company, alongside a bottle of fine wine.
Lately, he noticed, they grew closer. There was something in the air around those two – the ease with which they talked, the way she always laughed at his jokes, those eyes of hers on him in silent fascination as yet another tale left his mouth.
Varric was a good man. He could not deny that. There was that sense of respect between the dwarf and himself, one that could be easily overlooked if one listened on to their conversations.
But as much as he liked the man, he couldn’t help but grow bitter towards him. He was suave, flirty, outspoken, a great listener and story teller – something she seemed to like and look for.
Him? He couldn’t even force a few words about his past out of that tightly shut mouth of his. Not even one. He couldn’t provide words of comfort when yet again the world let her down, couldn’t embrace her when she needed it, wasn’t able to show how much he lov-
No. He was a fool to go as far as to think he held any deeper feeling for her. She was a human and a mage, both of which he hated like nothing else. In the long run, the two of them would be doomed.
Fall in love with her?
No. He just couldn’t.
He could feel his eyes grow colder as yet again she laughed, swinging her arm across Varric’s shoulders in a friendly way, bringing her bottle high in the air, a loud toast leaving her mouth.
“For us!”
His teeth clenched painfully as he forced himself to look away, back to the sword he was supposed to be cleaning.
Dark thoughts invaded his mind as he took deep, calming breaths into his burning lungs. But even the cold air did nothing to soothe him.
He was a fool to fall for her.
She was even more so, for not taking notice.

I chose this prompt because the way I see it, Fenris probably would struggle a lot in a situation like this, just to keep his temper in check. It would also be one of those times when he notices the differences between himself and the others who might be interested in Hawke, the things that could be hard or impossible for him to do for her while others could do them easily. I mean, killing weapon, anyone?
Hope this piece pictured him more as strong and not emo-ish. I have this picture of him as the calm, brooding character who keeps more to himself than he should. Personally, I hope he’s not overly sweet in the romance (IF he’s a LI). I’d be more interested to for once pursue someone who’s reluctant to involve himself in a relationship and denies his feelings. Just imagine the amount of frustration that would give!
Uh, and… Although I doubt Gaider reads stuff like this, I hope I didn’t butcher Fenris' personality.
…Then again, it would be interesting to for once make a dev cry…

*lol* Sounds good! No money, though... baked goods, maybe? Tankgirly's chocolate and strawberry tiramisu inspired me... I bet--*ponders* a traditional Flemish stew with caramelized Belgian endive on the side, a pumpkin pie, and double chocolate brownies!littlenikki wrote...
@Wynne Oh wow! I never thought about that but yea, it totally does look like that's what he's saying. It would fit as well in a heated coversation.
I think we should start placing bets
