I also did up a little something for Thusday
Prompt: Unlikely Places
After a harrowing journey through the Deep Roads, Hawke and the party have returned to Kirkwall to rest and restock. Fenris; choosing to forgo the company of the party choses to take a walk through the streets of Lowtown. Whilst walking amogst the shanties and old slave quarters, Fenris soon finds himself in the presence of a mighty tree that stretches almost to the top of the city walls. Deciding that this place is as good as any to sit and rest, Fenris sits at the titanic base of the tree and closes his eyes.Elder Cyrus: I see you found the vhendadahl lad. Most newcomers here have be scampering through the Undertown so long that they're a little afraid of seeing actual flora.
Fenris: I have seen trees before elder, but I did not expect to see one in Lowtown.
Cyrus: Well then lad, you've obviously never visited the Alienage before. The vhendadahl here is the only tree in Lowtown.
Fenris: (awestruck) Forgive me elder, I mean no disrespect, but this is the Kirkwall Alienage? It's more beautiful than I expected it to be.
Cyrus: (confused) Lad, that's not the reaction most newcommers have, where do you hail from?
Fenris: Tevinter, I spent most of my life in that black pit in the service of a Magister. Once I escaped, I heard tales of this place, of this tree and the paradise that the elves here have built.
Cyrus: I can see why you considered this place a paradise then, my father too
was a slave of Tevinter for many years before he fled here. From the stories he told me of that place, of what he must have seen...(inhales)...Ah well lad enough of the past. Name's Cyrus by the way I tend to look out for our kin around here.
Fenris: (genuinely happy) Fenris.
Cyrus: Fenris, eh you wouldn't happen to be one of the Champion's lot that there's been talk about would you?
Fenris: You know of Hawke?
Cyrus: Aye, there's been talk of his exploits around Lowtown. But that's beside the point lad, the Champion and his band is giving the people around here something that's in short supply in Kirkwall; hope.(chuckles) That's quite a feat for an elf who just so happened to stumble into the Alienage.
Fenris: I am glad to be of service to my kin Elder Cyrus. If it means perserving this place so that others may enjoy its sanctuary will continue on alongside Hawke.
Cyrus: Lad, there's no need for vows or theatrics, its a good day, the sun is out , and you've
found a home amongst your people. Ah well, I'll let you get back to your nap. (places hand on Fenris' shoulder) Good luck lad.
Fenris: Thank you, Cyrus.
