I had one of those a while ago. You can literally feel it settling comfortably on your thighs, but you're too busy having a tonguegasm to care.

I bet Fenris will harbour a secret love for exotic foods after eating slave food for as long as he can remember. In fact, mundane things might seem exotic to him because he can only remember having mouldy old bread and stuff (y'know, slave food). It's like a posted in another thread that touched on the topic:

Fenris: This... this is delicious, Hawke! Your mother is an excellent cook! What supreme dish of delightfulness is this?

Hawke: ../../../images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png Beans.

:lol::lol::lol:

but I'm sure Hawkette will happily cook for him, after all some people say it's a way to put a man in bed  :3
and damn.... I feel I'm gonna buy a mille-feuille the next time I'll go shopping.... 8D

I really dont think he is that much more popular than any of the other companions, really Posted Image

I mean, the fanfare going for Merill alone caught me a bit off guard, she' s not even confirmed yet! As for why I like Fenris so much, well...he's a cute, glowy, elf that might be a possible boytoy for my Lady MageHawke. And he's got a killer sense of style, but that's just my opinion. Posted Image

I think that everyone likes to poke fun at us Fenris fans basically cuz we are just so typical "fangirl" when we get to talking about him, but yea, really do not see him gaining any more fandom than the rest of the group Posted Image I love them all!

LOL! :D

In reality, I think it would take a while for Fenris to eat anything very rich, such as the desserts posted. They would probably make him sick if he tried eating them directly after escaping the magister's captivity.

But of course, that's reality...

We're also looked upon as weird since we would love to have him as a LI, even when we know it's painful for him when his lyrium lines is touched..but hey we don't know when they were branded into his skin, I mean a normal bruise can be quite painful even when the skin is healed.. :)

@kwintessa
That doesn't mean he can't have a sweet tooth, I think his body could cope very small doses of desserts (not sure), no matter what, my Hawkette will eat whatever leftover dessert there is. Posted Image

It's an "elf" thing...look at Merril's thread too (although to be honest, some of it is hating on Merril).  And Fenris got some really devoted fans really early

It's not like we only like him because it is (possibly) painful when we touch him...well maybe some peoples are like that, that's their deal Posted Image

It'll probably become a staple when thinking about a Fenris romance though, like with Thane and his crazy halucinogen skin Posted Image

@BSB: Pfft you don't think this thread had it's nice share of folks sippin some haterade? lol But no I don't think he's more popular than any other character, I think it's just because we talk more in here, it's usually just the same group of folks talking about him with a new person coming in every once in awhile. Or someone coming in trying to ruffle the feathers by saying "LOL it's gonna be SO funny if he no LI BWHAAA."

So I thought I'd go off on a rant about this. Well, less of a rant and more of a very long winded explanation.

First of all, let's look at Bioware's track record of very appealing male characters shall we? In DA:O we had Zevran and Alistair. While the two were very different, Bioware stuck to the same basic principle of the sweet guy and more of a bad boy type. Alistair had great hair and Zevran had great lines that cracked you up. Somehow, Bioware (Or should I say David Gaider) knew just what to write to make you swoon. Plus, the characters were also physically attractive - as much as you can get for being a video game character. Heck, I think even some of the guys fell head over heels for one of them. (So to speak.) And then we had Garrus, Joker (Hey, a girl can dream can't she?), Thane and now Fenris.

You have to admit that emo type hair is pretty sexy and those green eyes are something else with the white of his hair. Also, he has an intriguing past - I mean a tragic previous elf slave with lyrium burned into his skin and no memories and an innate need to flinch when you try to touch him? I think every fangirls heart stopped beating when they heard that story. It's every fangirls dream, pretty much. Well, some of us. Everyone in this forum.

Anyway, I don't know if that helped or not but okay.

I think 50% of this thread is speculation.

And I'm not really stalking, more lurking and waiting for information. :P

I'd say that his thread is one of the most popular on the forums. 100 pages in 5 days is impressive.

I mean, the fanfare going for Merill alone caught me a bit off guard, she' s not even confirmed yet!

The original Fenris thread did the same when there was only an image. A few more days and the growth will slow down. It's just because she's 'new.'

He's very good looking, written by David Gaider, and will probably be a love interest. Like Alistair, I think he'll end up with the largest fan following.

Let's just hope he doesn't break our heart.

I thought it was 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach'? Heh, not that I'm complaining - his bed works too. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie]

And who in this forum thinks about reality, right...? :P

I agree, though. That dessert posted makes me sick if I take large enough bites, let alone someone who can only recall the taste of slave food.

But hey, maybe the magister made Fen his personal food-taster and anything less than the finest roast nug and Rivaini wine is too bland for his tastes. ^_^

The actually physical pain might pass away eventually, the game stretches over 10 years after all, then it's just aversion to being touched, because he might connect it with pain, we have to deal with... but it's all just speculations.. :)

And a relationship can be super strong without the element of physicality. We Fengirls aren't complete weirdos. Though we all have our moments. (Well I do, I dunno if anyone else does.) :police:

I agree; after a period of time, he'd get used to the goodness that is sugar and salt and butter! :P

Well didn't Gaider say the scars weren't nearly as painful as we intially thought? Just slightly uncomfortable? I mean if he's slamming his hands on a table(and I'm pretty sure the markings are also on his palms) Then surely cuddling and sexy time wouldn't be that big of a deal. More like a it hurts so good type of situation.

I am glad i am not alone! We should do "Fenris' belt fan club"

I particulary like this chibi which was draw by Falandra. Belt-awesomeness!

Edit: Trickybun, even if his scars hurt really bad his face is scareless :bandit:*coughlipscough*

I imagine it hurting like a mild bruise or sunburn. Achey, but not IMGUNNADIE painful.

He's averaging TEN PAGES A DAY!  Merrill is averaging THIRTY PAGES A DAY!   Taking away the fact that Merrill is new (and a mage), which does help prop up the volume, the common denominator is the fact that they're both elves.  I do know that some of the volume here does have to do with haters, but I think the volume with Merrill (early on) had to do a lot with the perceived change from the first to the second game (similar to what happened in a number of Isabela threads).  This time I don't mean it as starting anything, but I do really believe that a lot of his popularity (I'd say he's in the top two of popular characters right now) is the fact that he's an elf...

I think I may have asked this question before (I've slept since then so I apologize for forgetting), but has any told you guys how long Fenris' memory goes back? Does he have full memory going back to the traumatic experience or is it more along the lines of "Memento" (or, for those of you prefering chick flicks/Adam Sandler, "50 First Dates")

^Nope, we have no idea how far back his memory loss goes.

I noticed the palm lines quite clearly, too. If he can take the pain received from the handle of a large sword in his partially bare hands, I'm quite sure he can handle physical touch. As has been said, I think it's more of an aversion from when the markings were more painful at one stage.

Yeah so we're not weird at all, Some people just like to think so because girls can't have nice things and we certainly can't express how hot a male character is. Only guys can do that with women ya see. On messages boards there can be a million This chick is so hott0rz posts but as soon as there's a "Squee Thread" all the girls are weirdos and can't be serious about ANYTHING and the thread needs to be deleted etc etc. Double standard I know but tis the way the world is.
