I would have liked him more if he were an archer . But the fact he has been magically altered without being a Mage is intriguing to me.

This is so cute I just about died. Their faces!! So cute!

And regarding Garrett Hawke's attractiveness....rawr. I'm almost sad he's so attractive because he's the PC. I'd romance the hell out of that if he was a companion. Plus, dat voice. <3 He needs to trim up that beard of his though, and his appearance in the CGI trailer I find more attractive than his in-game model. But yum all the same.

Yes, the looks are part of that. I thought he had a good piece of concept art, and two awesome screenshots. But what initially hooked me was not ZOMGHAWT (because let's face it, pretty much every character revealed has been good looking) or ZOMGELF - I've seen a few too many pretty elves before to be attracted to every one that floats onto my computer screen - it was those damn lyrium markings.

I wanted to know what the hell they were. Once I found out, I wanted to know exactly how he got them - when he got them, how it was done, why it was done, if he even remembers it happening. I wanted - and still want - to know what exactly he's used as a weapon for. As someone with a moderate interest in the human (elven?) psyche, I want to know how his mind works after all that. Also, his little character blurb on the DA2 site is one of the shorter ones, and reveals little about his actual personality traits compared to the others. We haven't heard his voice yet, either, so I've been pondering about that. I also have no desire to play a Hawke that would 'fix' him as a person, though I understand why some would.

His story's just interesting to me, and it would be whether he was human or dwarven, too. It's that interest, mixed with some pixel-physical attractiveness, that's made me a fan.

What I like  about Fenris (from the little we have seen so far) is the potential for determination and intensity. Which he then proceeds to shrug off with "let them come if they want..." it could make for a very powerful combination. The other character I am looking forward to is Aveline for similar reasons.

That pic is indeed very cute. 
Oh and I agree about liking CGI Hawke better than in-game M!Hawke. CGI Hawke looks younger and fresher somehow. In-game Hawke is too rough and scruffy looking for my tastes - his face has too many hard angles.

I concur. So, I was pondering along the same vein of potential and had a thought. Do you think his time as a slave and the constant subjugation of his will would make him more apt to be domineering in order to compensate now that he's free?  A 'my-way-or-the-highway' type of guy, if you will.

Y'know, I don't really like all the designated ideas for prompt, because I cook something up during the week, wait for Thursday, only to find that whatever I have does not fit into any of the idea categories:crying: So I'll just say this is extremely late, and is Child's Play!
Note: Most of the dialog is from the expansion pack of Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening.
Extra Note: Carver WILL tag alongside with my rogue!!!!

Margaret Hawke and her three companions (Carver, Fenris, and Varric) are traveling near the border of the Free Marches, a couple miles away from entering Fereldan. Varric and Hawke are walking up ahead, bickering about the directions. As the two rogues argue, Carver (in his bordom) crafts an idea, and shares with Fenris.

Carver: Soo Fenris....

Fenris: (sigh) I swear, Carver. If you ask me to play I Spy one more time, I'm going to---

Carver: No, no! It's not that. I was just wondering....

Fenris: Wondering what?

Carver: Do you happen to be familiar with the name of "schleets"?

Fenris:....schleets?

Carver: You don't? Good thing I brought it up then!

Fenris: Why is that?

Carver: The schleets are dangerous, you see. They catch their prey using camoflage, laying on the ground and disguising themselves as an ordinary pair of trousers. But when you turn around....

Fenris: Yes? Why did you pause?

Carver: To build suspense, anyways. When you turn, they strike, gruesomely devouring your eyeballs, then proceeding to---

Fenris: How absurd. I may have lost my memory, but I am not a simpleton!

Carver: How drull; here I was trying to lighten the mood, but you go and kill it!

A pair of traveling knights, newly stationed at the arling of Amaranthine, snicker as they pass the quartet of an odd company, on their way to Vigil's Keep.

                                       The near future: at Vigil's Keep in Amaranthine.

Mahariel: Oghren--

Oghren: (shrieks) BAH! W-who's there!?

Mahariel: Did I startle you?

Oghren: I-I was just keeping my nose to the dust....looking out for the schleets.

Mahariel: By the Creators-- Schleets?

Oghren: One of the boys told me about them, told me they're common in Fereldan. They lie on the ground, looking like an ordinary pair of pants, but when you turn, that's when--when they strike!

Mahariel: Pants.

Oghren: PANTS THAT EAT YOUR EYEBALLS!...Once they're ddone, they just walk off---on their unatural pant legs!

Mahariel: (Lie) Oh? You weren't told the best part?

Oghren:....best part?

Mahariel: ....they're not real.

Oghren: wha-- aw, sod....I haven't been up here for more than two years; how am I supposed to know what's up here?! (mumbles) that Jacob's going to get when I see 'im....

Mahariel: And here I was certain it was Anders who told you this...

Anders: Thank you, my dear lady. It is most pleasent to know that you are thinking of me!<3

Mahariel: May the Creators guide whoever must put up with this nonsense....
