All this talk of fist bumps really has me hoping Fenris is a "push you up against the wall" romance Posted Image

Or a... slam you up against a table... *ba dump chhh*

Or tree... I am not picky.

Hmmm...

*Evil scheme to continue my joke dialogue from earlier*

I finally got to that page. Please do continue... it was funny!

I'd possibly have to edit it with a *altered* alternate ending...

Give me a few mins to get it all typed.

Magister: All the Old God asks for is a simple gift of earth and water.

Fenris: Earth and water. You shall find both down there.

Magister:
Your a madman, no man elf or otherwise dares threaten a Magister!

Fenris: You bring the heads of your servants to my doorstep, you insult my lady, you threaten my people with slavery and death! Oh I have chosen my words carefully Magister. Perhaps you should have as well.

Magister: This is blasphemy! This is madness!

Fenris: THIS IS KIRKWALL! (kicks Magister down a pit)

(Meanwhile in the real world Fenris lays in bed; Hawke snuggled up against his shoulder with a smile on his face)

I think a love you a little more now.

Now I can't get over the idea of Fenris fantasizing himself a warlord-like badass during cuddle time. :|

Love this.
Imagining Fenris in one of those dinky little speedo panties with cape from 300. Bad?
I don't think so.

I now demand to see Fenris doing his sexy hip wiggle, whilst singing "Just Got Started Loving You" by James Otto, because the man's voice is pure country love.

the same situation was presented in another of my favorite franchises and the execution was bloody awful.

Possible vague spoiler ahead: Are you talking about Fable III? If so, I agree. The scene where they implented that was absolutely horrible. I still felt sad at the end, though. Kind of like Mafia II. You don't end the game feeling like you've accomplished anything. You just feel horrible about what the journey cost. (Not that Mafia II employs the same tactic being discussed, but the unhappy ending is still present.)

Auurgh that is absolutely wonderful! I love the posing you executed, and the darker, more intimate lines.

I love it as well. Obviously. But that final fight used exactly the plot device being discussed, and not only is that horribly depressing, but, as I said, I didn't like the scene it happened in. I don't know. I just didn't feel it had the poignancy it deserved. The continue the comparison I had earlier, like in Mafia II. "[He] wasn't part of our deal." Horrible, and is very much like a punch. But then again, as much as I love Fable, I don't think it's ever had quite the emotional impact that other games manage. Could be just me, though.

@CG: I see what you mean but you gotta admit the choice with Walter in the desert was pretty emotional...I felt so bad for him :(

I agree. F3 is quite dark compared to the previous two, just like in Origin's certain endings.
But I still adore it to bits. They are my favourite games outside BioWare's.

@Tricky, I was weeping when I did that scene! Here I thought after letting Alistair died was the hardest!

Back to the prompt. I added '300' in option d. Of course you can.

Varric: My friends! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty! For tonight we dine with Fenris!

Fenris: Dwarf, despite your so-called "sophisticated tastes" gruel is a perfectly valid food.

Varric: My dear elf, we're in the Champion's retinue, we're not exactly cash-strapped.

Fenris: Varric, you try living on the run without anything to eat for days on end and you won't believe how good gruel can taste.

Varric: Yeah, sure Fenris.

(years later)

Cassandra: Dinner time dwarf (hands Varric bowl of gruel) What is it, not fancy enough for you?

Varric: (smirking) Let's just say that this is one of those times where I find myself having to eat my words.

Woot! Also yeah  then no matter what happens you end up trecking the desert alone which was nerve wrecking, you felt so isolated. I like when games make me feel genuine feelings like that, which is why I'm so excited for DA2 BW is very good at making me feel :wizard:

@Doctor: What would gruel exactly consist of? Raccoon excretment, grubs, a hint of old chicken broth and paprika, and a clipping of Oghren's toe-nail?
