David said that if he named the accent we would probablly guess the actor right away, and that the actor was in other rpgs. I believe that he also said that Fen's accent is not super distinct but you definitley notice he has one; kind of "watered down". Feel free to correct me anyone if I have anything wrong.

Well the distant ancestors of actual English are Germanic languages so there's that.

He swears in tevinter...interesting! I wonder if he actually is tevinter or he was brought from Ferelden or another area.

Well the distant ancestors of actual English are Germanic languages so there's that.

Earlier in the thread David said he was singing in a german accent and it sounded nothing like Fenris. So we are assuming Fenris is not german (Or maybe Ser Gaider just does a horrible german nhilist accent? )

Heh, no. The common tongue actually comes from the dwarves. They introduced trade and currency to humanity.

oh cool I admit this used to bug the hell out of me when playing Origins. But I always thought it was one of those things we had to ignore.

So the common toungue was developed when Humans arived on the mainland or was it developed when elves and dwarfs first began trading?

This would explain how the Alamari statues you encounter speak your launguage. Does modern Ferelden as decendents of Alamari have their own launguage or do they all speak the common toungue?

Fenris primarily swears in Tevinter, but occasionally will break into meditation-like comments on the fight. He's one of the few soundsets that never actually yells during combat.

No kidding. I think Bioware is great for interacting with their fans. I love that they come into their forums and talk to/tease us.

I would say Bioware - the DA branch, the devs from ME are not really interactive. The ustream videos were especially fun! :wizard:Love everything about Bioware!

That's what I get for over sleeping, I miss precious infoz and cookies. Gaider has informed us of awesome, and I guess when I joked earlier and said he'd be meditating at his homebase it wasn't completely and utterly ridiculous now lol. Also he's speaks Tevinter and with an accent...hmmm very exotic, I'll agree with ankuu that they pretty just made Fenris a fangirl sandwhich here, all that's missing is the toothpick with the olive (confirmation that he's a LI) at least for some ladies here I'd imagine

Also again for like the...5th time what is this notion that they'll be rioting in the streets if Fenris were just exclusively gay? (even though that's unlikely) are people not aware of the huge populous of  "yaoi" fangirls that plagues the internet? Or is it because this isn't a Square Enix game and those types of girls just don't know about Dragon Age?
