He does have a very sexy voice, but he's a horrendous actor, imho. I'd rather have to listen to someone with the acting chops. Even if the accent wasn't as hot.tankgirly wrote...
By the risk of dragging everybody into that area again, can this guy be the VA of our Fenris?
*Alexander gif*
His voice sounds very smexy.
Honestly I hardly ever see him act much, as compare to Bill he's very yummy to look at. Humph...

Lol. Bill never appealed to me. His actor is sexy, though. Whatever his name is. I just saw a batch of interviews and wow, sexy personality much? He's very smooth.
I thought Alex was alright because of his accent...

He doesn't even have much of (if any) accent anymore. I'd much prefer Mads Mikkelsen voice wise. Though I'm sure very few will agree with me, as he's not eye candy in comparison to Alexander.
Was he the guy in Casino Royale?

I think he actually tries to put on a more american accent, which is sad. I notice it comes through sometimes.
In any case, whether or not an actor is hot or not does not bother me. I doubt it bothers anyone else here. The character is still all their own, who the hell cares what they look like? As long as they do a good job...

@Lucy: You'd be surprised. I've seen people initially recoil from Mads due to his appearance, especially when it comes to the more fangirl-inclined.

@Margy: Lol yes,the personality trait I speak of is def. amongst most of those girls you listed XD Though I could tolerate Morrigan, I guess it was because she was just so in your face about how she felt that it didn't bother me as much. Plus it was totally sweet to see her get all attached to my Warden and see her feel things "she'd never felt before" and call him selfish because he just wanted to love her Dawwww!
As for Fenris' accent I'm certainly not picky, any accent is sexy to me but I guess that's because my own 'accent' consist of "Plain Ol American" so anything that doesn't sound like that is cool XD
I can deal with companions really well and I end liking them all in their own way once I understand them, but I'm really picky with love interests. I've played all of Bioware's console games and I really only liked two of the RI. I don't mind brooding, I just don't like it when it turns the character into a grouch, and everything is always serious, and REVENGE! I also don't like when I'm reminded about it every five seconds. I mean I get kind of tired of being compared to your dead wife after awhile. Then again I don't like the Zevran personality either, just a little too in my face and nothing was really that serious until you got to know him.
For me, Alistair strayed all those lines perfectly. He had hard life but he didn't constantly brood about it. He had revenge in mind for his mentor but he was still able to laugh and joke. He tried to act suave, but every one in awhile you'd catch him off guard and he'd blush and stumble over his words. He had a lot of the same traits of previous Bioware RIs but he never went overboard with any one trait.
Then again I do have a lot of faith since Mr. Gaider is writing Fenris. And I'm really interested in his character over all the others, so I'm definitely checking this thread every day for any new information.

Even then Gaider said it would be slight and I don't see the Tevinters being the, "Ya mon's" of Dragon Age land

I think it's just the expectation that he must have a European one.

You know I'm good so long as it's deep..I just hope it's deep... not Barry White deep, but anti-hero deep
I hope it's deep and South African. I would have multiple eargasms.

For me: Nah. SA not doing it for me... Personally, I think it's a cool accent, but it doesn't fit Fenris' appearance in my head.
I would prefer German if it isn't Irish...

This.
Personally, I'm hoping for a Russian accent. I think it fits well with his character design.
I agree with Tricky that it should be deep, too. Maybe not gravely deep, but certainly smokey.

German's pretty chill; a friend of mine makes it sound like the most beautiful and lilting language, but her accent, when speaking English, is a bit rough on the ears I think. Irish is chill too, but I hear it - and Scottish - so often in videogames that I kind of just want something different.
Irish is probably on the bottom as is because of Sebastian and his Scottish accent.
I love Germans when they speak in English... I think it sounds so... just nice in my opinion.

Anyone have a clip of a SA accent? I don't think I've ever heard one before?

Here you go. Just click the Hakeem Kae Kazim- Other Africa choice, then Play Sample.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure this is SA, but this is what I was thinking of.

As I've said before, I want it to be deep and smooth, with a small hint of gruff. I have now thrown Irish accent out the window.
I agree completely
