I like the way you think.

Nooo, never mind, not even I would draw something like that. :sick:

Ugh...can I use waiting for Tricky's fanart as an excuse to not go into work tonight?

[Yeah, seriously! Especially since it was easy to kill the guy--my dad didn't even know Zevran could be a party member, so his response in-character was always to murder Zevran. :blink: So I have no idea how he would've reacted to being hit on. My dad's not prejudiced, really not, but I suspect he wouldn't be amused. He doesn't like people who try to kill him, all the more so if they go into sexual harrassment mode not long afterwards, and then get pissed if you tell them to stop. I mean, I love Zev, don't get me wrong, but there were aspects of him where I really had to suspend what I would normally do in a case like that and just say, "Hey, he's a companion, if I want to see the content I have to let him live, and just pretend my character going to sleep in the same camp with him rather than having a guard on him at all times makes any sense whatsoever." Or like, "This particular Warden is an outstanding judge of character and just knows that he won't try to murder her again because she is a natural, who read his facial tics just like Paul Ekman would do." So I think a bit of subtlety and non-murder-you-ishness is probably a good idea for the future.

I think the average straight guy's attitude towards gay male LIs would be, basically, "I don't care as long as I don't have to worry about dropping the soap during bathtime." A nervous straight guy in particular would feel that way. If on the other hand you receive the <3 icon here and there, and don't have to use it but can if you want to, I can't imagine very many people minding. No reasonable people, anyway.

And if you grow to like a character,  well... maybe over time loving a male LI as a bro would convince some guys to try him out romantically. It could even open minds.
[/quote]

Yeah I like this lots! lol. I have to give props to bioware though, homosexuality in games is only recently been acknowledged and they made a good effort to make it a game anyone and everyone could call "their story" so gay guys could play. But most of us didnt really like him. lol too provocative for me.haha. On the other hand they made a good effort and I think its one of those things that can only be imperroved with the times. Which is why I said about the bisexuality only coming up if the character asks.
 Posted Image to the dropping soap comment!!!!!! thats pretty much it yeah! Zev howeer, I think carried more soap than he did lockpicks! Not exactly the nice romantic "love" I was expecting lol.

In terms of the getting to know character turning into guys playing male LI's though, I get your meaning but I mean, if I were a astraight guy Id much rather have them focus on really good pal dialogue! ke Alistair: If you dont romance him, after a while he just doesnt have anything left to say to you...that kinda sucked! This game seems to improve the "just friends" aspect though which, nerd that i am, has me REALLY excited!

I was hypervenilating when I saw his in game face. Imagine what will happen when I hear his voice and if he is a confirmed LI. I could possibly go into cardiac arrest, a coma, or maybe even die....then I won't be able to play the game without the help of a squadron of divine clerics and spirit healers.:(

Nooo! You can't die, Margaret! You're the only one willing to post and repost the code that represents the Fenris hip-wiggle! You must live to continue the TRADITION!

I wrote up a little somethin-somethin in my spare time. Doesn't have to do with the prompts. At least, I don't think it does. Enjoy, my pretties!

Edit: Fixed wacky copy-paste from Word problem I had. :whistle:

It was quiet on the road, with an exception to the incessant drizzle and the squelch of the party's boots in the mud as they made their way back to Kirkwall. The city’s lights were less than pinpricks in the expansive dark, warped by the soft rain. The road – well, it could barely be called a road – was framed by the thick tree line of the Planasene Forest on one side and the Waking Sea on the other; threatening clouds were looming past the horizon and Marian Hawke could feel goose bumps ripple across her skin.

An encounter with a large group of bandits had left Hawke and her companions drained. “Hawke, if I may?” Isabela gestured towards the sea, “That storm’s blowing in from Ferelden. It’s not going to let up any time soon. We’ll not get to Kirkwall before midnight at this rate.” Varric cursed and smoothed his damp hair back, attempting to shove his beloved crossbow further into his coat. Hawke glanced over at Fenris and immediately looked away when she realized he was staring back at her.

“Let’s camp in the forest, then.” Hawke’s eyes found the tree line once more. “It’s not as if standing out in this rain will do us any good.”

The underbrush thinned as they moved further into the forest, and the close-growing pines provided a somewhat drier experience compared to their previous position on the road. The four immediately began setting up camp, drying off in the process. When Isabela and Varric went out to find dry wood, Hawke found her gaze drawn repeatedly back to Fenris, watching him for signs of pain. He seemed to be favoring his right arm while he pulled the canvas of one tent over its frame and nailed it down.

“Let me help.” Fenris looked up at her, those unnatural green eyes twirling her stomach into a knot.

“I can manage,” he paused while yanking the tent canvas taut, “without you.”

Hawke bristled at his quick dismissal and, in three quick strides, was squatting next to him. She could feel the heat from his tattoos from this proximity and shivered in spite of it. “With that arm?” She couldn’t help the feeling satisfaction that bubbled up at the startled look on his face. “I can heal it for you. Easily, even.” Her fingertips began to glow and he unconsciously jerked away from her, wincing as he put pressure on his injured arm. Blood flowed through his fingers and into the pine needles of the forest floor, and his face contorted with pain. Hawke reached for him and he fell farther back, onto his elbows.

“No! You can’t touch me; not like that.” He was staring at her glowing hands. “I could kill you. Drain the life from you."

Hawke wasn’t deterred. She pursed her lips and dug around in her pocketed belt, finding a roll of clean bandages and a half-full poultice. “That’s a bit compromising, I suppose.” She kneeled forward and raised her eyebrows impatiently, “Maker’s breath, I don’t bite!” She motioned for him to sit up against the large oak’s trunk behind them.

“It’s your funeral.” She waved his remark away as though it was a pestering fly and took his injured arm up gently in practiced hands. Fenris noted they were very soft and cool against his blistered skin. Marian first began by rinsing the charred gash with her water skin and patting it dry with some of the bandage cloth. Fenris leaned his head back against the tree trunk as she slathered the healing balm over his burns, a relaxed expression passing over his face.

“Not so bad now, is it?” She asked quietly, touching his forehead. The elf peeked through his eyelids and saw that Hawke’s gaze was tender, like her touch.

He lifted his uninjured arm and brushed a few damp strands of hair from Hawke’s eyes, the ghost of a grim smile tweaking his lips. “You have my gratitude, Marian. Thank you.”

The girl blinked, grinning. It was the first time she’d heard him call her that. It was rather nice. “Any time. Any time at all.” She grew acutely aware of the pitter-patter of more rain and reclined against the oak tree’s trunk beside Fenris, realizing that he had finally decided to trust her. It was something she had barely dared to hope for.

Zevran doesn't do that.  He only gets pissed at you if you lead him on first or if you're rude to him.  And "would you be offended if I said I fancied you?" is not sexual harassment mode, especially since you then can say, "No, but you needn't bother" and he does not get mad and never mentions it again.

@Kwintessa: "It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it." ~Alistair.
Nice story though, and it fits into the prompt category of "Rain" (who is also a popular singer in South Korea.)
You all keep trying to sway be to be a mage first playthrough. I need to be a rogue, it drives me frickin' batty when I am unable to stealth, lockpick, poisons, etc. I will be a mage eventually though, so I may wub my widdle brother Carver, smack some poor fellow upside the head with my staff, and perhaps enhance conversations with Fenris or Orsino (he'll be a party member, right?:huh:)

Edit/ @Dave: NUUUUU, I'M SOOOOOOOOORRRYYYYYYYY!!!!

It's probably occurred to your guys before, but now that I think about it--those are awfully elven looking tattoos. Did Fenris' master use specifically elven magic, not altered by Tevinter magi? Is it important the tattoos looked like that, I wonder?

@kwintessa : Lovely piece.

@Margaret_TheElf: Same here, I love my Rogues - even on my _th play-through when pretty much I memorized the content of every chest, it still annoys me that I cannot open them and get to that useless item. Although, this time around, my second one will have to be a Mage - I want to see the difference between having Carver / Bethany in the party.

I've always seen people call the tattoos Fenris' "veins" which causes me to stand constantly in front of the mirror, trying to see if I have two veins leading up my chin to my bottom lip. It sounds interesting that if the tattoos were shaped into a certain form, instead of them just being veins that are highlighted due to being pumped full of lyrium (which is astounding by itself, but if the Magister had a certain idea in mind....)

@Margaret: On his concept art, the lines on his arms and feet matched up with where veins can be found. This doesn't seem to be completely true any more, but they still look vein-y. The scars on his neck and chin do not appear to be the same type of scar as on his arms... and don't worry, you're not supposed to have veins precisely there anyway. :D

If the Lyrium gives him physical strength, it would make sense to put it near his veins, because muscles (and everything else) require blood to operate? Maybe?
