@Margaret: On his concept art, the lines on his arms and feet matched up with where veins can be found. This doesn't seem to be completely true any more, but they still look vein-y. The scars on his neck and chin do not appear to be the same type of scar as on his arms... and don't worry, you're not supposed to have veins precisely there anyway. :D

If the Lyrium gives him physical strength, it would make sense to put it near his veins, because muscles (and everything else) require blood to operate? Maybe?

Ah...good. I was tired of my cats staring at me funnily anyway:whistle: As for the physical strength comment: you always do know how to thrust things into the light.:D

What type of music do you think Fen would listen to?

A) classical

B) R&B

C) Metal (like Evanescence?)

D) World (ya mon;))

E) Other

Edit: new pages demand hip wiggles (srsly gets spammed too much)

It's probably occurred to your guys before, but now that I think about it--those are awfully elven looking tattoos. Did Fenris' master use specifically elven magic, not altered by Tevinter magi? Is it important the tattoos looked like that, I wonder?

I've always seen people call the tattoos Fenris' "veins" which causes me to stand constantly in front of the mirror, trying to see if I have two veins leading up my chin to my bottom lip. It sounds interesting that if the tattoos were shaped into a certain form, instead of them just being veins that are highlighted due to being pumped full of lyrium (which is astounding by itself, but if the Magister had a certain idea in mind....)

I don't think they are exactly veins since they are in a special magical shape (3 dots in the concept art and really fractal-y). It's weird that the chin ones do not match the rest and don't go up further.

PS: i slept 4 hours in the afternoon so i can stay awake some more hours with you guys ^^"""

Also, every since I saw Fenris slam the table and ser Gaider said that he says meditative things during battle I have wondered, does he have a rage problem? Perhaps caused by the lyrium, and so he has to calm himself in the heat of battle so that he doesn't loose his marbles?

*strokes beard in contemplation*

I've also been thinking about a possible short temper that Fenris could have. There are many reasons why he might have outbursts of anger, whether it be borne from years of being the magister's slave, a release from pent up pain or discomfort from the lirium scars, or even just his natural temperment.

I think that having a character with anger issues, especially if they can't control it, would make for interesting situations regarding possible friendship and rivalry paths. I also think it would be fairly unique (at least in a Bioware game?) to have a somewhat angry companion

This also opens up some interesting possibilites if Fenris is also a love interest. The whole table slam thingy also gives me hope for a possible "push up against the wall" scenario between Hawke and Fenris, even though that will most likely be happening with Isabela. If Fenris has an angry side and is also a romantic interest, I can see romancing him as being particularly hard, harder than most romances in the past. It could be hard for a lot of players to put up with a romancable with a bad temper, especially is Fenris has an outburst at Hawke, even though he tries to restrain himself, and then he regrets it and goes off to brood :P.

Off course I'm not talking about domestic abuse or hitting Hawke or anything, just a bit of an uncontrolled anger. How do you guys think Hawke would react to a potentially angry glowy elf?

Fenris likes to listen to nature, "Sounds of the Sea" and "Tropical Paradice"

Is it weird that I actually hope so? I think that's why I adored Valen in HotU.

No. Not at all. There are quite a few Valen's fans on this thread. He is one of my favorite characters.

I can just imagine him loosing his marbles in a fight and killing everyone while the rest stop and look shocked at him. Then he would burst into singing (I feel pretty) or "Goosfraba!".

Fenris' fav movie is "Anger Management".

Valen is my favorite tiefling  and Lord Gaider said that Fenris is similar to Valen or something like that :wub: that's why I think he's an LI cause Valen was and written by Lord Gaider (which I had NO idea until someone said that he was <3). And Valen was the best NWN LI ever *melts*

Anyone think your relationship with him will be more interesting if you were a mage? I'm trying to decide between rogue and mage right now for my first run through. I kind've would rather have Carver, but I also really like the combat mechanics of the rogue.

Will Fenris have an open gay dialog as Zevran did?

He doesn't like people who try to kill him, all the more so if they go into sexual harrassment mode not long afterwards, and then get pissed if you tell them to stop.

Zevran doesn't do that.  He only gets pissed at you if you lead him on first or if you're rude to him.  And "would you be offended if I said I fancied you?" is not sexual harassment mode, especially since you then can say, "No, but you needn't bother" and he does not get mad and never mentions it again.

Yep, for me Zevran is rather that way: "Listen, we both are pretty and can get killed evey moment, so why shouldn't we do something nice together, hmm?"
He is a person who appreciates life, 'cause he knows in life there is happiness and sorrow and he's trying to seek only good side of it. I also think he was the most sesitive person, but he puts his mask of heartless assassin ,'cause he didn't want to suffer, and he was wearing it so long that he really became one. Of course, you could give him opportunity for realase his "true" self, especially when you love him.
And when he was angry when you mention something about love I think he was more angry at himself because, in fact, he always wanted to be loved.

But it's my opinion. :)

And I'm really surprised when Zevran and Fenris are compared (ok, they're both elves :P). As far as I know Fenris is quite different than Zev. When I'm trying imagine Fenris I see someone who is rather not so happy with his own life like Zevran was.  Fenris looks tired, exhausted and like he is trying not to yell at anyone/everything. I think that he is someone who doesn't seek anyone's attention (what with his appearance isn't that easy) and doesn't like to be bothered.

Time will bring answers. :o

These are fantastic! Great find, thank you for sharing. (I'm particularly taken with the second snarly one)

I get an anger vibe from Fenris, myself. I mean, why wouldn't the guy be angry? I know I would be if put in his situation.
Also, I asked a question about a dozen pages back and don't think anyone answered (it's alright, mon, ah still like ya guys). I was wondering if because of his enslavement and having his will stripped from him that he would be more inclined to be domineering in an effort to compensate? It kind of ties into the whole anger angle.

Note to self: Only ask Fenris for his love; asking for sandwich can be hazerdous to my face....and I happen to like the way my face looks, so no Fen sandwich for me if I want to keep it that way:(

I don't get that vibe, though it is possible, but I do think that Fenris won't take kindly to being ordered around.... Posted Image

Mysterious elf mage that we know next to nothing about. Really. We know what his robes look like, what his staff looks like, that he's an elf, and that his name is Orsino. Unless I also missed something, I'm pretty sure that's it.
