No, Fiona did not want the baby because she didn't want the baby to be treated like she had been. She also did not want it raised in the royal courts, but to have a normal life. The baby was VERY clearly human. 

If you don't believe me, I have the book sitting on a bookshelf in my room. I can grab it and quote the part where it's clarified the kid is human.

Well, you did ask what they looked like. Either way, though it has one elven parent, it's for all intents and purposes a human. I'd say the only reason she wouldn't want the kid to know is to shield him from racism, shame, or self-loathing.

I mena I have the books two but I could have sworn it said the babies are both but because of the elves genetic adaptibility they come out human looking...

Yeah I'm pretty sure human blood overwrites any and all things elven when it comes to baby making, so in order for Elves to continue on they have to procreate with other elves. So it'll be interesting to see Fenris' connection to other elves and if that kind of thing bothers him at all.

XD, yeah I don't think it'd even be in a hateful type of way persay but kinda like how Wynne would talk to the M!Warden about getting involved with Morrigan, out of concern. I think in that context, "fully human" it means in both raising as well as lineage. She wants the child to have a human upbringing.

I honestly think Isabela will hit on anything with two legs and a libido. At least, that was the impression I got from her in DA:O.

Another character I believe might, would be Aveline surprisingly enough. Both companions have suffered a great loss, and truth be told I think they will get along quite well with each other. They both seem sort of moody and brooding after all

Being half elf would definitely be enough for the child to be treated differently. Remember, elves are a completely different class than humans. They're sold into slavery and forced to live in alienages just because they're elves. It's not hard to believe that even though it's not visible, a half-elf would recieve scorn and derision for his ancestry.

lmao ahh Wiki leading me things I didn't intend to click, I know when I actually looked up branding to get some more understanding about how and why it was done I some how ended up in Medieval torture devices then ended up on Vlad The Impaler's page...good times. I will say at least the theme was consistent

Yeah your right Chagrinned Goat I can see why they would want to hide it. Well maybe half elves can make elf babies with elves you never know but now I really don't like human/elf so  much I mean for a mage I don't really mind becuase they are suppose to be outisde the norm!!! I love mages
