I get the feeling this isn't too off the mark.

Any interpersonal skills he had could've easily been lost with the rest of his memories. Given, of course, he had any to begin with. That depends when he was enslaved, I suppose. 'Social nightmare' would be an apt term. 

There's probably a sizable wall of distrust you'll have to bound over but once you figure out what buttons to push I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the most manipulable character in the game. I can almost imagine all the poor life decisions you can convince him to make. I wonder what party members would run with this, if any. Varric might do it for laughs, Isabella for other things...

Maybe we'll even be given the chance of almost picking up where the magister left off, ownership wise, if we decide to do a cruel playthrough. Chains optional.
