Mini story thingy:

‘Damn it’ Hawke uttered as she ran through the dark, shadowed streets of Kirkwall. ‘I’m going to be late for my own meeting’. There was no-one else about but a stray dog, looking for food in a side alleyway, as she rounded the last corner to see the candles flickering inside her home.
Hawke turned the handle and went inside hanging up her clock and kicking off her boots. She went into the meeting room only to see Fenris slamming his hands on the table top and growling ‘I. Do. Not!’  and stalking out of the room muttering in Tevinter as he left.
Hawke look perplexed as she crossed the room and sat at the head of the table.
‘Ummm... What was that about?’ She asked, still utterly confused.
‘All Aveline did was mention to him how obvious it is that he needs to control his feelings’ replied the ex-pirate captain and Hawke’s friend Isabela.
‘Have I missed something here? What feelings?’ Isabela sighed
‘His feelings for you, Hawke!’
‘M-me? Like feelings feelings?’ Hawke asked looking thunder-struck
Isabela sighed and put her head in her hands, and she knew it was going to be a long night.

I love Cillian Murphy. He has a facial structure you don't often see on men.

Yup, dem lips, in particular. He's a gorgeous guy!

That man is so pretty that he makes the average woman jealous! ;)

I really love his acting... he had me in tears at the end of Inception (just like you said, CrookedAsylum, those baby blues... *sigh*) And he's impressive with accents. And he did do voice for the Batman Begins  video game.  But of course that's not an RPG, and he's too famous, and as much as I love an Irish accent I can't imagine the Tevinter peeps sounding like that. Nor English, 'cause of course that's already been used for more general purposes which would hardly lend itself to us quickly guessing someone's identity.

So I will just have to continue quietly adoring CM in whatever movies he shows up in. He's proven he can play the villain, the hero, and anything in between. Very talented guy.

He's in Inception? Damn, another reason I have to watch that movie, then.

Him and Tom Hardy.

Holy Jesus, Tom Hardy, I entirely forgot about his deep, sexy voice.

Mmm, Tom Hardy...
OMG, FenrisDeSolar, you've gotta watch that movie! Let us know what you think, okay? :)

Madame Rose Crimsynn wrote...

Gaider said we could pin-point the VA in 30 seconds if we were told the accent.

*bites lip* You don't think he would do a stealth-reveal, do you? I mean, the only case I can think of where only 30 seconds would be needed would be Allan Hyde, the Danish guy...

You'd think that would be too obvious, but maybe he's just crafty enough to know we wouldn't think of it!

Gah, I want to KNOOOOOOOOOOW! *collapses*

@Wynne: thanks for the welcome. Like I said in my first post, I've read every page in this thread, and it's great how friendly everyone tends to be to each other.
...
On topic of Fenris... I wonder if his personality will change over the timespan. By that I mean, at first, he's going to be uncomfortable with everyone, keeps his distance, ect. And then, later in the game and in time, he's more relaxed, more inclined to be social/be part of the group.

I agree! I think we all enjoy being here and chatting with each other. It's like a sleepover that never ends and you never get sick of because you don't have to leave the comfort of your home! ;) The party won't stop after DA2 is released, either. We'll all be back here squeeing together--well, the first chance we can pull ourselves away from Fenris, anyway!

About Fenris's personality, I definitely think it will evolve. I mean, just seeing what happened between Aveline and Male Hawke in the Story video, where it's obvious they haven't seen each other in a while and she says she's been keeping an eye on him... I think some of the romances will be Zevranish/Morriganish, like Isabela's for instance where you can probably sleep with her pretty early on, but actually convincing her to settle down will probably be a major challenge, and others will be a bit more like Alistair and Leliana where you really had to work at building the commitment--except this time, it won't be that they're sort of sweet and innocent; rather, that they're damaged by life.

Aveline... it's obvious she has some issues there. And Fenris... not having a memory will be hard. Would he have a family somewhere? Is he almost irreparably damaged emotionally? Can he trust a mage? I think the issues they both have will be solved slowly over time, rather than the previous games' approach. It's one of the things that excites me the most for Dragon Age 2. I think the friendships and romances will be more realistic than ever.

*sees awesome red and black sniper rifle* Hey-hey! *Infiltrator high-fives* We'll get along just fine, I think. :D

And halloo to all of you other lurkers as well! We're happy to have y'all join the party. And, um... I hope I didn't say anything too embarrassing that I don't remember.

If you look very carefully,
you can see the Gaider prowling around in his natural enviroment. While
known to be very mysterious, he is easily spooked when faced with a
herding group of fangirls, especially when spotted by said herd and
ambushed with continuous questioning.

ankuu wrote...

Hrm...i wonder if Ser Gaider has fangirl issues in real life.

*Ser Gaider goes to the cash register at the local supermarket*

Lady at the cash register: The total is 30$ and-...ARE YOU THE GRAND POOBAH? OMG OMG ITS SER DAVID GAIDER!

*girls come out of nowhere from beneath the counter, from around a rack*

Ladies:
SER GAIDER!!! TELL US ABOUT FENRIS! HOW IS CASSANDRA?
IS MERRILL A BLOOD MAGE? CAN I ROMANCE MY BROTHER?!
ANDERS IS THE NEXT COMPANION, RIGHT?

*can't stop laughing at the images in her head of the wary Gaider-zelle and mobs of demanding fangirls chasing our poor Poobah through the supermarkets* You girls! You slay me!

Despite how delightfully absurd the thought is, I have to wonder if it isn't occasionally true in a way... I find it plausible, but then again, there may not be enough of us who would have the nerve to approach him anyway. I kinda think if I saw him in the supermarket I would have to fight the instinct to run the other way in fear of acting like a total gushing dork, and I don't know if I would muster up the guts... *sheepish smile*

@Everyone who loves Fenris' belt, we get to change our companions rings, belts, and I believe necklaces, so I dont think his belt is going to look the same throughout the game. (Unless only the stats change with when you equip a different belt)

Ser Gaider can at least tell us about that, if he's generous today :happy:Since it doesn't mess around with their timeline (i think?).

So, are Fenris' clothes gonna change (including the awesome belt)?

*Le gasp!*

Not the belt! It makes hypno-shiny elf's wiggle all the more distracting...

But... wait... then Hawkette...

OK. I guess I can live with it.

Speaking of which..."It's been a while, hasn't it?"

If we can only change belts and rings and stuff, does this mean we cannot undress them?

*Sigh* Alright, folks. I think we better put the cakes and cookie to another table, lovely Fenris hip swinging on the wall, and be serious. Our last 50 pages of jesting scared a handful of regulars away.

I think it is safe to go back to just talking about Fenris'  haircolour, LI or not, and his sexuality... stuff we've talked about since page one.

@Wynne, it's downloading, and I was going to say, "Just call me Fenris," but in this thread, that'd get confusing.

They just... look funny to me.

Actually, they don't look like sleeves... it looks like after the shoulder, it's a large strip of cloth going down the from into what looks like bracers.

It's just the first time I've seriously noticed it, thats all.

Alright ladies and gents here's my Fenny prompt for the week, I chose "Freedom"  for my prompt and provided a drawing and a blurb of story to go with said picture, hope you guys like:

Posted Image
(bigger version on my Deviantart page)

“Maybe I should just die... right
here...”
He thought solemnly to himself, anything was better
then being the nameless property of that bastard magister. He had
been running so hard and for so long, he hadn't noticed how much
pain he was actually in and how his constant movement was only
worsening things.

Legs shakily giving way until he could
run no longer. He found himself staring into the blackness of the
night sky, the water surrounding him cool to his skin as it eased the
burning he felt beneath his scarred flesh.

Looking at his palm he saw the
pronounced state of his veins, so very sensitive that it felt that
even looking at them the way he was now would burst them. Trembling
he could feel his bandages unraveling around him and he knew that the
longer he laid there the chances of his recapture increased.

But I can't move. Even if I
wanted to...I just can't it hurts too much.”
He
lamented and bordered on just giving up, even if he laid here and
'died' what was to stop someone from finding him and bringing him
back? What if it was the wrong someone? All he had done was run he
hadn't calculated how far, and what if it wasn't far enough?

A sigh
escaped his lips. Eyes threatening to close as an escape to his
racing mind, that is until something caught his attention.

A lone
bird, soared overhead such a simple thing but an impressive sight to
him. The ability to fly, to be able to just up and go where you
pleased, the freedom of it all. However there he laid, clinging to
life in the river bank about ready to give up.

Something
in the back of his mind didn't want this to be his fate, if he
wanted to die so badly why run away at all? He had gotten his freedom
but at what cost? He couldn't very well enjoy it if he was dead, he
couldn't give up...not now.

I've followed this thread from 1 to 358 and I'm finally ready to become a known fengirl.
