I really hope he's an LI...I can't imagine my Lady Hawke with any other of the male characters revealed so far...I mean, Carver is her brother and while I can see her having somekind of platonic friendship with Varric I simply can't picture a romance between the two of them (even though I love DA: O dwarves)...
