MCR, are you talking about Pride and Prejudice?

Hmm... I was just going to tell you, but now you're going to make it a fun guessing game.

No. This book released in 2009 (A little less then a month before Origins, actually). The series its part of (I didn't know it was a series until about two months ago) and the author aren't very well-known because both have a fanbase that's strong, but not large.

Hint 1: On my DevArt account, my signature has the name of my Origins/Awakening character, Fire Amell. Pyromania was not the only inspiration for her name.

Is that Fire by Kristen Cashore?  She also wrote Graceling.

O_O

Fracking epic (you've got good guessing skills). You win the cookies, Igor!

I LOVE Fire by Kristen Cashore. That is one of my all time favorite books, I've read it like 7 times at least :wub:

Here's a wiki link for the book. It doesn't really tell you much unless you look at the character descriptions, and even those are very vague... [X]

I do 100%. Currently I'm planning on a sarcastic mage who smarts off all the time but loves her family (and Fenris muhaha). This may lead to the coveted rivalmance.B) But this has the means to change. I'll most likely play whatever I feel like in March.

I just had the best idea ever. What if Fem!Hawke being a mage automatically led to a rivalry?

That would be interesting, and it also makes complete sense. I know I wouldn't trust a mage as far as I could throw them if I were in his shoes (or not, since he doesn't wear shoes ^_^).

Just thinking of the friendship/rivalry system... would it be like the ME Paragon/Renegade system, where you earn points in both, or would it be the arbitrary 'once you go down one path, that's it til the end'?

I would think it would be rather preliminary and not effect the relationship very much. I wouldn't think the Grand Poobah would force us into a permanent rivalry just for being a mage. He doesn't hate us that much. Or does he?:?

*Has just noticed the hilt of the Fenris' sword is blue*

Oooh. That is a sexy sword. My rogue must steal it, even if she can't use it.

Luke. Ankuu and I named it a while back.

I
am blaming this thread for making me fall in love with Valen. A few of
you brought him up a while back and, out of curiosity, I looked him up.

. . I regret it, and yet I am completely grateful. I need to go buy
Neverwinter Nights now so I may play it myself, rather than sufficing
with fan-fiction.

Same thing happened to me. Good Old
Games has it for only $10. :D So I picked it up about a week ago. Only
played HotU because I really wanted to see Valen for myself. It's a
great campaign. I haven't tried the others yet, but HotU alone is worth
the $10.

To another point I wanted to make:

If being a
mage was the only thing I needed to induce a rivalry, I'd go for it. But
if inducing rivalry means I have to play a somewhat mean or uncaring
femHawke, I would not. Or it would be very difficult and wouldn't happen
on my first playthrough.

Welcom to the club, my dear. Hop over to the Valen thread on NWN 1 section if you like.

trickybunny wrote...

You can find NWN2 Diamond on Amazon can't you?

I got Neverwinter Legends. From bargain bin, out of luck. And then I fell in love with Valen, Bishop, and Gannayev.

I did like the idea of Fenris naming it after the female PC, "...because I can't live without it."
Other than that...."I will call it squishy, and it shall be MY squishy!"

The Shiggler. :police:

Serious: I think he will name the sword "Freedom". Or something of the like.

I like this picture for three reasons:

1. It tells me that during combat, we will not have our robot faces, we actually show emotion.

2. Sexy snarl face is sexy.

3. BECAUSE IT'S FENRIS!!

I'd name it something cheezy like Freedom or Liberty ..or if I could speak Tevinter call it those in Tevinter lol. Or maybe Vidar after the Norse God of independance, solitude, and freedom. since Fenris' name is from Norse mythology(actually I'm pretty sure Vidar was the one that killed Fenrir hrmm)

Well this is why I'm primarily asking the fans here what they'd name it since Fenris wouldn't.

Eh, but it was quite cute to see that Finn had named his staff in WitchHunt. :D But then Finn was so full of quirks what was one more?
