That's what I was thinking, but his arm is rested on her back. I would think that he were uncomfortable/rejecting it, his arm would be in the front, kind of in a pushing away motion. That's my two cents anyway Then I guess being uncomfortable with something and rejecting something aren't exactly the same thing either.

Nah. It's just one meter. Either full Friend or full Rival. Rivalry points detract from the Friend meter, and vice versa.
