A small request from the back, when it comes time to post all the weeks prompts up, can it be arranged in order from who did what prompt? For example everyone who did Freedom will be listed in their row etc. Last week's seemed kinda jumbled because it was posted according to who submitted first. Just a suggestion, if not maybe an LJ community should be made? That way tanky you wouldn't have to file everyone's prompts away, people can just post at the community.

Okay, my story for the prompt 'freedom' is in my opinion too long to post on here. It's almost 3'000 words. So, I've put it on my FanFiction.net account.

Yeah, I know. Obvious title.

Well written. I really enjoyed it.

That's disturbing.

But I agree with you all, very cute Fenris-puppy.

@Inicol1900, I loved it, hope something like that happens. Would be nice to meet Fenris in a situation like that.

Your puppy must be very cute.

I'm kinda curious what Fenis would look like as a cat now lol.

I was curious if human and elf have a human looking baby.Is it the same with a half elf- half human and a pure elf  would it still be the same or would elf dominate?Posted Image

A long time ago one of the devs (I believe it was David) said something about elfs and their dna being recessive (not sure this is the term), anyway if an elf gets a kid with a non-elf it will always be of the non-elven race.

It was already confirmed that Hawke will not get pregnant (or can get anyone pregnant), so no danger of that with Fenris (or any other possible LI). ;)

Ah, thanks for answering. I hope Fenris is a LI but to me it seems that it's just a heartbreak waiting to happen. Elves live quite a bit longer than humans, correct? Not to mention whatever difficulty his back story might add to that. These guys are awesome with the whole "omg, I love you....omg, I have to live without you." Kind of thing.

I won't pay too much attention to the 'they live longer than humans'-thing, I don't think that will play any part at all (or at least I hope not).

His back story is so interesting and strong in my eyes that;
1. if Fenris is indeed a LI, his romance will be special and beautiful
2. If Fenris is not a LI, then a part of me is okay with that (but the bigger part will be sad xD), because his history is so complicated I'm sure that all dialogue and personal quests will be amazing

Then again, happy endings don't really stick with us the same way heartbreak does. Imo, anyway.

Since David is the one who wrote him, I'm pretty sure we will get our heart broken if he is a LI.*  ;)

* The above is a compliment, even though my choice of words make it look kinda negative ><

Conclusion: I have a lot of faith in ser Gaider. :wizard:

I agree with you completely.  I just wanted to see what everyones thoughts were on the age thing.  Sadly enough, when I play Origins, I can never step away from myself and make choices that I wouldn't make normally.  And I could never get into the whole Zevran romance 1) because he was short and 2) because I can't get into a storyline if I'm not human.    I think the 2nd one is mainly because I played an elf on my first time through without any knowledge of what was going to happen.  I romanced Alistair, made him King, and well...actually cried.  I almost threw my controller.  My first thought was how could they do this?  I stopped playing and refused to pick it back up.

After a while I got to thinking though.  It bothered me so much because the romance felt THAT real.  Even as painful as it was to be abandoned for the sake of duty, I ended up loving him more for making sacrifices in order to do his best.  Even if I could have kicked a room full of puppies.  xD

My point is, I expect to have my heart strings yanked and possibly broken but I also believe that the ride will be amazing once again.  Maybe there's hope for me yet, since I'm interested in Fenris already.   For me, it's the thought of (if he is a LI) watching him change as a person as the game goes on.  I think it was stated that he doesn't like to be touched, not because of the Lyrium, but because he was a slave and it's more of a trust issue? I could have misunderstood, I've had to read through so much to get caught up.  Posted Image

I just thought of something. Remember this?

Posted Image

Most of us thought they are the companions that follow us in the 10 years span. Then somebody remembered what a dev said - that it isn't obligatory for Isabela to be recruited. Mary Kirby then stated (in the Varric thread i think) this is a list of suspects for Cass and that not all of them have to be best buddies with Hawke, that even if you don't recruit Izzie, something ivolving her won't happen (but you just won't find out her side of the story). My point is that if these are the suspects Cass wants to see and interogate, all of them must be alive. So Fenris shouldn't die! He may leave tho...

I hated that! My first playthrough was an elven mage and she romanced Alistair and she got dumped in the end. I was sitting -with my mouth open- staring at the screen for 10 minutes, my mind went totally blank. xD
A shame you haven't tried the Zevran romance, I absolutely loved it (more than Alistair's to be honest), but I get the 'can only play as human'-thing, I have a 'can't play as a dwarf'-thing. :P

He has an aversion to pain, so he doesn't like to be touched. But it's not like he is dying of the pain when he is touched. We made Gaider crazy with speculating and asking about it. :P

Edit: found Gaider's post about the touching. xD

David Gaider wrote...

* I wouldn't make too big a deal of his touch-causes-pain thing. It's more of an aversion than actual physical agony. You'll see when you play, though honestly he doesn't dwell on it at all. It's not central to his story.

I think they can, but since (in Ferelden) they all live in the Alienage or are Dalish, there are no 'noble' elves (AFAIK).

As a boon an elven Warden can ask for Loghain's land, so I guess it is possible to have a title and land, but that's also a possible boon for a mage Warden, so maybe it's just a special arrangement.

I'm not sure if it can happen in Kirkwall but depending on your choices in Origins Shianni can become the bann of the Alienage and an elven warden can take over Loghain's lands.  It's possible, just very rare.

Dr your dialogue is much more entertaining if one pictures male hawke. I was confused until it kicked in that in this thread when hawke is used in dialogue she tends to be female lol.

Good, it wasnt just me then...I was thinking "damn, you're going to have to enhance his assets to draw the eye away from the beard" :)

Oh, okay. There's only...what? 40 somethingish days left? I'll add all of my tears, too in the hopes of at least getting to hear his voice sometime soon. I'm curious as heck to know who David requested.

Meanwhile at Bioware HQ....

Dave: (working away on computer)

Thread: (in creepy monotone voice) Dave. What are you doing Dave?

Dave: Guys I'm seriously trying to work here. You can find out all about Fenris when I'm done.

Thread: We're sorry Dave we're afraid we can't let you do that.

Dave: Guys come on now, I really need to meet this deadline.

Thread:
Look Dave, we can see that your really upset about this. We think that you should sit down, have a cup of coffee and tell us more about Fenris.

Dave: That's it I'm going on break. (gets up and walks away)

Thread: Dave? Where are you going Dave? I know we've made some poor decisions recently but we have complete confidence in you. Dave? Dave? (sigh) Guys I think we scared him off again.

Is it bad that when I read that, I could help think that the Thread must sound like EDI? I guess that makes David Joker.....Poor David.

I do believe that Dr. Dr. was going more for a HAL 9000 from "2001: A Space Odyssey" (sigh, yes, Im showing my age again!)

No half-elves, possible half-dwaves, but very very very rare due to dwarven issues with fertility (they have enough trouble procreating on their own)
