I was talking about Fire yesterday... that one develops from fighting to a fairly trusting (and defensive) relationship to a romance.

Hmm, maybe after a certain quest...PERSONAL MAGISTER RELATED QUEST?!

Ahem, depending on when in the game we actually get to 'recruit' him, I imagine we'd have to befriend him, etc, get 
his personal quest from him and then after that...well...we get to romance him?  If of course he IS a LI. :/

It's just, in Origins, once you reached a certain lvl of Like-ness with a companion, you were able to be more flirty, open new dialogue, what have you. SOOO, since our companions don't necessarily have to like/agree with us in order to romance them, methinks that at a chosen point in the game we will run across a scene that determines if the romance is triggered...unlike in Origins when you could trigger it whenever you wanted.

So yea, when (I'm saying when b/c I refuse to accept if Fenris is not a LI) he is confirmed, or we hear his voice, all the dogs, bats, and dolphins of the world will flip the f*** out as well

Well, you
didn't actually die in the NWN2 ending-- you just got super close.
Bishop definately died, I'm positive Grobnar, Sand, and Qara died,
I think Neeshka survived, Ammon and Khelgar both definately survived
(you see Ammon again in MotB in Thay, and see Khelgar again in SoZ as
the new Knight-Commander of Crossroad Keep). I can't remember what
happened to Elanee, and I believe there is a rumor that in SoZ there is
evidence that Three Word Vocabulary Casivir survived (GRRRRRR! Why can't it DIIIIIIIE?!)

I know.. thankfully I bought both all in one sitting! But that didn't stop me shuddering in the corner all day and night!

CASAVIR SURVIVED?!!?! (I have the mods for it, but its kinda nice that
the game story had him survive) Oh mai~! Although he might be old.. I
like his character, but not the the freaking romance where his at least
DOUBLE your age! Though.. I kinda paired him with my elf.. I'm more of a

I'd compare Fenris to Bruce Banner (from The Hulk) He's a genuinely nice guy its just that sometimes when you push him he runs the risk of turning into a whirlwind of destruction. e_e what an incredibly slow romance.. what if it could be like fable? Where you're dating already,  and your loved ones come to greet you when you return from a mission? That kinda sounds more believable [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

My thoughts on romance speed is that I hope it can go kinda fast but not to fast. I dont really like in Mass Effect where you had one convo after every mission and that was it, but I want the game to set at least some limits as to how fast you can complete it, because in alot of my playthroughs in DAO I almost rush the romance to the point it was unbelievable that they feel inlove that quick.

Y_Y I know... Thane was too fast, I barely got to his son in a convo, then we had to go through the relay!

But.. >:| The other crew members only had like 2-5lines, and that's AFTER their mission..
