He sounds just like that ancient elf legend about the wolf god who tricked the other gods into heaven, or a close association.

Fen'Harel, The Dread Wolf

He was on my list when I systematically search through elven legend codexes for MEG's true name (oh, David, are you going to bring this one in Dragon Age Universe? I still remember Valen's true name, Oeskathine the Demonwrestler)

My money's on this. That wolf god was named Fen'Harel, right? (Edit: 'd)

Gaider said he's called that for a reason. I doubt it's a direct reference to Norse mythology, since whoever came up with the name wouldn't know Norse mythology, but a reference to an elf god? Very believable. His tattoos also remind me of the Dalish facial tattoos, sort of. I could see a demented Magister giving an elven slave these tattoos in some kind of mockery of the Dalish ritual, perhaps even the name too.

His character would definitely help answer some important questions that DA:O offered, like - Who WERE The Ancient Elves? Why is it that the elves lost their immortality (And no, a story about how the gods neglected them is not a good explanation)? How did the humans collapse the elfish kingdom so effectively?

It'd be interesting if Fenris' capture and subsequent torture may have related to these story plot elements. His immortality would certainly explain why Tevinter is so interested in him.

first: Nice hair~! 2nd- bravo to the bioware team, you really took the blandness of DA's visuals and added some despretly needed design style, outside of aveline(butchy mcbland) & derp carver the cast is looking gorgeous

Hmm. Thus far I'm thinking my first party will be rogue Hawke, Fenris, Aveline, and the as-yet-unannounced male mage.

The elves of Arlathan and their gods have always interested me, and I wish to know more.
I dont think he is Fen'Harel, but something close to it could be probable.

Regardless, it's clear that his past is going to be rather ineresting to find out - suspected elven god or not. Especially since Gaider is the one pulling the strings.
Gah! March can't come soon enough.. D:

I remembered I found this codex as I search for Fenris' possible name and thought: 'That can't be right, this is a wolf we are talking about.' It turned out my doubt were probably the intuition inside me that was signaling we were hitting the right note.

....anyway. I am sticking with this story now. Can't wait for more info release and see the link between them.

Yes, Mr. Gaider has me speculating over this elf more than anything revealed about this game.

81 more days for me!

I'm going to celebrate March 8 like it's a holiday. :)

I've been skipping some other newly release game, such as Force Unleashed II for this.

And then it is revealed that he'll romance Bethany.

The inclusion of siblings makes for such interesting sadistic possibilities.

Will probably come to Hawke for tips on what she likes and how to woo her, too *nods*

Oh my goodness. If Fenris attempts to flirt/romance with Bethany, then there is going to be a HELL of a lot of rivalry between my FemHawke and her. ("Round 1 - FIGHT!")

If Bethany is indeed interested in Fenris, or vice-versa... My FemHawke will probably attempt being the good big sister and end up throwing her inhibitions to the wind, seducing Fenris in ONE. FELL. SWOOP.

(And whoever said swooping is bad was a BIG FAT LIAR.)

I hope he is a LI. My planned first character is a (understament) pyromanaic mage named Rosalyn "Rose" Hawke. I already had the idea before I saw Fenris was actually *shiny* that she was easily distracted by shiny objects that didn't try to hurt her. She'd do her damndest to make especially good friends with Fen so she could stare at his shiny tattoos in peace.

OK, I'm kidding that she'd make friends with him just over that. Depends on the character.

Also... I wish I saw the "M.E.G." thread... could've made this comment there but... I remember reading the forums one day and (I believe 'twas) Mr. Gaider said there would be a character who would pin (I think... this was back when people were ranting about what they wanted for a LI, and note I have the memory equivilent to that of a goldfish) Fem!Hawke against a wall and kiss her...

*Glances at Fenris again* Just a theory, but I think Fen here might be our guy. If they don't crush anyone's hopes that Fenris is a LI...

He did say something like that. But we are not sure if its Fenris or some other character what has not yet to be announced.

If Fenris was a food, what kind of food would he be? Chesthair fans have their Kiwi-Varric, what's Fenris? I am trying to think of a food that tastes bitter at first, and then it tastes sweet....green apple gobbstoppers?

Perhaps a pomegranate? Don't try to just bite in-- take your time to crack it open and enjoy the fruit inside?
