Guys, shouldn't you be wondering what's the event as important as 'Dark Ritual' going to happen to Fenris in game?

I never liked the idea of every elf being short. Made it hard to take their race seriously.

Brilliant.

If they do they're definitely one I don't "take seriously."

I said that a day or two ago, when we were discussing tragic endings. If nothing else, do not let him pull a Morrigan and run off with orders to never follow. That was more agitating than it was 'dark'. It just felt like such a non-ending. I guess if I'd played Witch Hunt it would've tied up the ends a bit better, but I never did buy it.

If they give us a DLC that lets us follow him and tie up loose ends then I'd rather him run off then die.
I haven't played it either, cause I've haven't got around to buying it yet.

I think I'd actually prefer a "happy" ending (the level of happiness may vary).

I'm positive being a 'fangurl' cannot be inherited, thus it could never be a 'race'.

They aren't being unreasonable however.  It's not mindless moaning without reason; the elves were all shorter than humans in DAO.  I'm just ambivalent.

I'm not saying it was mindless I just don't see how a couple of inches is something worth freaking out over in that big a way. Personally I did like that the elves were shorter in DAO, but I dont mind that their now as tall as the humans, like a said eariler its just a couple of inches.

Mindless was a bit strong of a word choice on my part, I apologize.

@tank; Good point. :| hmm...maybe he is the entire reason for Thedas being on the brink of total global warfare? Them magisters be makin' human elven atom bombs down thar in Tevinter.

Another, random thought; if BW uses our first clip of his voice to also announce him as indeed an LI (such as saying something romantic to Hawke), I will melt into a small puddle of Demon goo due to sheer joy. And I'll still cry tears of joy. :|

@Saslic Its all good. I realize my feelings about things are not the same as others and if I came off sounding like a B**** I'm sorry. We all have the right to feel how we wanna feel about this game or anything else for that matter.

I'm also positive that just because there are some of us here who do not have an issue with the retcon that we are to be defined as 'fangirls' with such a negative connotation attached. I do grow so very tired of the acerbic attitudes that this entire section of the boards has gained of late. It's gotten to the point where I'm honestly ready to stop reading or posting until release day. If ever.

Especially when not all of us were being so very defensive. All I stated for my own part was my height preferences in men in reality, and how this works for me, personally. A personal opinion is just that, opinion. And then I stated that it might be best to wait and see some screenshots, since TGP simply said he 'thought' elves were as tall as humans now.

No. The artists have this thing about elves and shoes. Don't get me started.

They want all Elves to step on rusty nails and get tetanus? Or go frolicking shoeless through lush meadows only to contract some hookworms?

1. How tall is Fenris Compared to Fem!Hawke?

I don't know. I've never compared the two. I think elves are now the same height as humans, so he'd be a bit taller than FemHawke, but I could be wrong.

2. Will Fenris ever wear shoes?

No. The artists have this thing about elves and shoes. Don't get me started.

....I know how the artist's feel. Do the writers and concept artists often get into spats?

.......

Yup at the hour mark, TGP's officially dead!

-sigh- Look, for future reference, since I'm usually the one asking/taking all the questions for the group. And if you want them all answered, please keep your peanut gallery comments until after I'm done asking and he's done answering.

That way everyone wins, and we as a group can retain our sanity for another 3 days or week until he shows up again.

Is this request agreed upon?

If the game truly takes place mostly in the city of Kirkwall, and Fenris goes strolling about with no shoes? Ummm.. yeah. Have fun if there is a sewer section of the game Fenris.

I'm guessing its to show how in tune with nature the elves are, or some such mumbo jumbo. If its just a quirk of Fenris thats fine, but if all of a sudden Elves had a growth spurt and can't equip shoes, I only ask : why?

It's definately an interesting suggestion. Maybe those lyrium tattoos have something really important to give to the plot? Or his secret power?

Dude. What? Really? He visits, answers a few questions, and leaves. There's no reason to be so formal, nor is there a reason to compile everything into nice, neat little stacks. Please refrain from attempting to make rules like NO TALKY in a public forum. It's not gonna work.

Well, MD, if you have looked outside the door here, you will see the negative reaction to that one question has spread beyond this thread. Where the acid continues to fly. Yeah, I think it's getting close to time for me to say bye bye to these forums for a bit.

Between accusations of fangirlism and being discriminatory just because some of us don't find a shorter man attractive, I've really no inclination to hang about. There is just way too much animosity in the DA2 fandom right now. Maybe when we get a huge pile of info it will sate everyone into a more agreeable state.

I visited Thailand years ago. You wouldn't believe what some of the tribes people casually walked over in their bare feet.

...Considering what happened last time when everyone went beserk asking their own questions, then yes. It probably is a good idea to organize things.

WOW! more than 100 pages in a week? it MUST be a record! at this rate this thread will surpass Varric's thread in another week!

and David Gaider answered a few questions on top of that, makes you wish you had asked something more serious, but that would just scare him away I think.

I think you guys are underestimating Gaider's thick-skinned-ness. I'm sure he puts his big boy pants on before he reads this thread.
