So quick question fenaddicts what exactly is it about Fenris that you find attractive? Like physically his angst ridden past put to the side for a second. Is it the caramel toned skin? the snowy white hair? the lyrium scars? Inquiring minds wanna know...
I'm gonna try to answer this without looking like a drooling mess of hormones.
Physically, I do find him very attractive. I mean, you kinda said it already: caramel skin... snowy white hair... add mossy green eyes and a nice build...What can I say...he's hot in DA standards. But, I'm not going to say that's all there is to Fenris. I love the pieces of information and dialog we're getting about him. From reading all of Gaider's little snippits(yes I lurk quite a lot), his character is very interesting so far. The more I learn about him, or atleast can piece together, the more I like him.
I've also grown fond of any character Gaider writes himself. Alistair... Zevran... Shale... Morrigan... He also wrote my beloved Dalish and HN origin. You know you're getting something really good when Gaider is writing.

I lurk (never post) in this thread, but my answer is his expression and the general "vibe" I got from it in his concept picture. I've been wanting a darker LI (a la Bishop from NWN2) and Fenris gives me that impression. I thought Zevran could have gone this route what with his background, but obviously that wasn't the case in DA:O.trickybunny wrote...

Not saying I want an irredeemable ****hole, but a person who represses their emotions (such as I fancy Fenris to be...his withering glare tells me so!) mixed with a steaming heap of sexual tension can create some oh-so-smexy scenarios.
If Fenris had been introduced with a Merrill-like cutesy aura about him I honestly wouldn't have interested.

Great, now I have this image stuck in my head, completely Fenris or Calvin Klein related
LOL well I certainly wasn't expecting THAT but yeah Fenris, and then Fenris with Hot-O-Vision glasses still attractive mind you just without the stress under his eyes and longer hair..THEN you'd have your standard run in the mill elven pretty boy. I think what will also make Fen really likeable is that he's probably unaware of his own attractiveness that's always fun

I'm not exactly sure why I'm drawn to him. Zevran wasn't my choice in DAO...ever. I loved having him in my party and talking to him, though. His character and background was funny and heart breaking at the same time. I also know that I missed out on a great deal by never romancing him but I've never been interested in elves in any game I've played. However, I liked Fenris from the first look I got and it wasn't a OMGZ HE'S HAWT kind of thing. >> Which he is, don't get me wrong. He just looks...interesting. It's odd and I can't think of the right words but he looks like someone who would be interesting to listen to.
I'm not getting working up about how important his role may or may not be. He's in the game, a party member (hopefully a LI????? *puppy eyes*) so I'll get to learn something about him and hopefully help him out as far as his former master and memories go. Even if he isn't the main man and his story isn't as deep as Alistair's, Sir David wrote him, so I know it'll be darn good regardless.

Well I suppose looks aside (because we all know that he has enough going for him as previously stated to make him attractive) the thing that really gets me is his story (or at least what we know of it). He just seems like such a deep, interesting and well written character. And while this is assumption at best from what I've gathered he it appears as if his personality will be one that is somewhat standoffish and closed off based on his past, amnesia, etc. The other thing could be the fact that I have a strange penchant for cold tortured male characters....who are angsty...and brooding....<3

I must admit, it's a bit of concern. Not the "don't die on me" bit, just the idea that you guys may be building this character up into something he isn't or can't possibly be-- and then ending up disappointed not because he isn't great but because he isn't what you assumed. I realize you can't help it, and certainly appreciate the excitement, but if I were you I'd be careful how much you invest in your assumptions.

I'm sorry, but when I read this I thought you were afraid he was literally toast (like cooked bread) and I was confused for a few moments....this is probably a sign that I should go get some sleep:blink:

What drew me to Fenris most was his backstory. There's something especially admirable (and badass) about a slave breaking free from his master and totally making a run for it. And his quote "They know what I am. Let them come, if they find the courage" is awesome too.

I took it as he meant that we're just blowing things out of porportion as far as his story goes. He doesn't want us to be let down.
But I giggled at that so I hope you were aiming for funny. xD

If Fenris were a drink, what kinda of drink would he be?
Is his hair naturally white, or was it turned that way by the lyrium? If the latter, what was it's original color?

Is "everything" an acceptable answer?
