I know, but just imagine how much worse it would be if the developers added yet another fatally ill companion to the heep. This board would go from from having the occasional bout of chaos to outright pandemonium.Liana Nighthawk wrote...
I'd say they are revolting enough already.
Agreed, the unrefined lyrium in the deep roads was like candy for most players. Instead of getting harmed by touching it, it instead acted as a healing agent. I mean, I know by that stage in the deep roads campaign you're probably about out of potions, which makes the lyrium an acceptable substitute for most, but still. It was like the Thedas equivalent of crack, just minus the horrific side effects. o.Okwintessa wrote...
One of my pet peeves about lyrium was that, in the Deep Roads, you could mainline it like crazy yet there would be no negative side effects. It was like, "Ooh, look, how shiny! *Touch* Wow, I feel great!"
I just thought... if dwarves, who are moderately resistant to lyrium and its effects, can still be seriously injured by it, then my human PC should be ill or something after touching eight mounds of it.
I do hope that the lyrium imprinting brings some form of negative consequence to Fenris, though hopefully not as drastic as Thane's illness.
