You don't think he could do stoic?  He pulled it off back in 1984 (granted he was playing a cyborg and had a limited grasp of the language

I was more thinking tevinter would sound Russian, Greek, or Turkish

It's not that he can't do stoic; the accent just doesn't seem quite right for Fenris.   A bit too distinctive and harsh. That's just me, though. 

Also, he hasn't voiced characters in other RPGs, which rules him out according to what Gaider has told us

Except we're not the ones making it a bloody race. The Varric thread has been happily hovering in the 400s for weeks now, and I don't think any of us (well, most of us) have made a big deal of it. I'm sure if we wanted to stoop to that level, we could make the Varric thread grow just as fast as this one. However, we aren't quite willing to do that.
