I can only assume the title sank with the rulers of the time. So... well I'm making all sorts of uncomfortable mental connections to Voldo now. Guarding the tomb of a dead master, creepy implications, etc. UH ANYWAY, if Magisters were of the past... how old is Fenris?

Edit: Wiki says the Imperium is always butting heads with the Qunari. So you're right. But still, "Magister" is from their dead regime... which is interesting.

I seem to remember there being a bit of lore that stated that the Magisters were still around, only weakened in overall strength and far less relevant. Though the wikia is being little help in the matter of finding that bit of information, so chances are I was probably wildly off base. So there goes the theory of him being created for use against the Qunari for the time being. (Depending upon how old he is at least.)

While large parts of the Tevinter Imperium overthrew them, Tevinter still exists. As far as we know, it's still ruled by a magocracy.

That's what the writers do, instill guilt and feed on our tears. But if Aveline decides herself to pin Ladyhawke against the wall, then we're not to blame for that.

Well, by normal elven standards, he shouldn’t be all that old considering his elven genes have been exposed to humans, thus quickening the end of his life. But Fenris isn’t exactly a normal elf so who knows. Poor guy.
