Correct. Shrieks come from elven broodmothers. Hurlocks come from human broodmothers. Ogres come from qunari broodmothers. Genlocks come from dwarven broodmothers.

Emisaries are just spellcasters-- in Origins, only Hurlocks (human) and oddly enough, Genlocks (dwarf).

*Feels like a nerd*

My bad :pinched:I didn't pay much attention to darkspawn it seems. I was probably running around like a sissy trying to make them go away with the power of thought.

I checked the wiki page as well...and isn't it rather odd that from looking dwarfish/humanish not they look elfish? But this is off topic...

Nah, I just spent my time reading the codexes like the freak I am when I was sick one day.

Anyway, back to Fenris: I wonder what he'd do if he ever encountered the Architect...

@Wynne, Oh my goodness, the young Fenris pic!  It's like you looked into my brain!  For some reason I imagined him with that dark brown hair, probably because there hasn't been a love interest with hair that color since Atton and I missed it. :kissing: Very nice!

Oh? But emissaries have pointy ears...where do those come from?

Besides Hurlocks, Genlocks and Orgres had pointed ears as well.

Hurlock (from human broodmothers)

Genlock (from dwarven broodmothers)

Ogre (from Quari broodmothers)

Drunk Hawke. I can see it now, the screen tilts back and forth ever so slightly, the PC stumbles around a bit, harder to keep them walking in a straight line and the more pints ya down the worse it gets 'till your under the table. :D

@Tankgirly: Those pictures remind me of the one thing I'm not so sure about DA2...

The Darkspawn. I kinda liked the old design, they looked like disney monsters and that gave me no small amount of amusement XDD

Although I think that's one of the reasons why they re-designed them, to make them look less cartoonish and more...scary, I guess

My guess is that the Architect would remind him strongly of the magister (assuming the magister was the type to unscrupulously experiment with magic, not caring who he hurt in the process), so Fenris would be hostile towards him.

Cute little Merrill drinking Fenris under the table would be awesome beyond words.

(Varric sees Fenris passed out on the floor)

Varric: Lass, what did you do to Fenris?

Merrill: I asked him if he wanted a drink and he said yes.

Varric: How many did he have?

Merrill: Just one shot of Antivan brandy. Aparently Fen's like a throughbred, you just can't put anything into the tank and expect him to run well.

Varric:
Lass, that stuff is potent enough to strip the paint off a wall. What did you have?

Merrill: The same thing, Isabela said that it would be a good way for us to "break the ice".

Varric: Oh its a way to break the ice alright. Fenris there's going to feel like the dove head first into a frozen lake come morning. You two stay out of trouble alright?

Merrill: Don't worry Varric, I'll make sure he gets home safe. (hugs Fenris)

In my head at least Merrill/Fenris would be akin to Kaylee/Simon in Firefly.

@Ankuu

Engineering major actually, I play a lot of D&D, so after a while coming up with scenarios like this becomes second nature.

Ironically like a quarter of the posts here are drama, and Varric.vs.Fenris ;)

But in all seriousness I can see why Fenris could potantially have more posts. He is such an open character at this point. We are pretty much creating him. Varric's character is a little more set in stone so there isn't as much to discuss in terms of "I wonder what he is like." So it is easy for us to write pages and pages of "I wonder if Fenris is like this."
